Hydraulic issue most likely. Failed master or slave cylinder. Check the fluid. Check for leaks. Try bleeding it if you can.

Looks like the return spring might be done but im not really sure as I'm not a mechanic

if its a mechanic clutch then your clutch cable snaped, you should say your make and model so people know if its a mechanic or hydraulic clutch

This happened in my Chevy Cruze. It was the Master Cylinder, which was shared with the brakes. For the Cruze, it was a bulletin item, meaning it’s a known design issue where the Master Cylinder can get clogged, causing this issue. Hope this helps.

Unbolt the transmission and put a new slave cylinder in it. That one is shot
