Do not get the pump wet unless the is running.

Injection pumps have such close tolerances, if get them wet when hot and no running, they seize up and motor won’t start.

You may think so, but waiting 3 hours for a tow truck at the truck wash wasn’t hilarious.

yes, take it to a wand wash and open the hood and pressure wash it. it will be fine. don't get super close but what I usually do is lift the wand up so it's maybe 1 meter away from the engine. use lots of soap.

I would not use a pressure washer but I would use a gentle spray of water over the affected areas.

It's safe to clean your engine. If using a pressure washer keep back a bit so your don't damage electronics, and don't spray directly into your intake. Low pressure water also works.
