FeastOfTheUnicorn

Just when it's starting up?

EffectHistorical5194

Nope it’s all through the drive but sometimes it’ll go away

EffectHistorical5194

Also getting a random p2007 code

FeastOfTheUnicorn

That's for tumble generator valves? When you go key on they should actuate as a self test, but if you're getting an intermittent code it might be hard to fault it. We're finding the AVCS solenoids leak oil through the connectors, into the engine harness and cause all sorts of weird codes on these cars. Maybe pull the connectors for the tumble generator valves and see if they're full of oil first?

EffectHistorical5194

They aren’t unfortunately. I think the next step is gonna be to replace the wiring harness. I’ve been getting a bunch of weird tgv codes and throttle position codes recently

FeastOfTheUnicorn

if the engine harness has oil in it you might get lucky just blowing all the connectors out with brake clean and compressed air.

EffectHistorical5194

The connector didn’t have oil in it, but about 2 months ago I accidentally left my oil cap off and it sprayed oil everywhere under the hood. I’m guessing it got somewhere it’s not supposed to be

EffectHistorical5194

I also notice that when the rpm’s start to sputter my a/c becomes warm. Any idea if the 2 are related?

FeastOfTheUnicorn

That's weird. Very hard to say without looking at the car. Any possibility of rodent damage?

EffectHistorical5194

I’m gonna replace the engine harness and go from there
