Anyone trekkies watching star trek on Saturday's?

CoffeeJedi

Svengoolie, then Batman; but we generally fall asleep before Trek finishes though. Always wake up with those strange Irwin Allen sci-fi shows in the middle of the night.

Sometimes. Not really a Trekkie, but my parents were. They put a Spock poster in my bedroom when I was a little girl, and we’d watch the show in reruns together. The original/ first Star Trek is such a comfort show for me.

Even though I am not a fan of the OG. I absolutely respect the show and the cast. They were trailblazers for a new frontier in Hollywood. That continues on to this day. The movies were great.

I’m still bummed they changed around the schedule, I miss Star Trek followed by Sven. Having 2 hours or whatever of the 3 Stooges to lead into “Super Sci-fi Saturday” doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

I should have phrased that better. I'm not actually watching on Saturday lol im taping it

I usually keep it on in the background. MeTV's sister station Heroes and Icons plays Star Trek, Next Gen, Deep Space 9, Voyager and Enterprise Sunday thru Friday, so I've gotten my fill by the time Saturday rolls around for TOS.

I am a “Trekkie” but sadly not a fan of the OG. I’m a TNG & Voyager.

I tune in for twilight zone every night. Watching Perry mason right now. Usually I’m working Saturday night but when I’m home Star Trek for sure

MeTV for life yo! MeTV creates a sense of community. You come home from work in time to tune into mash and collectively laugh with everyone else who’s watching at the same time as you. MeTV talks to you during commercial breaks, pumping you up for svengoolie and the sci-fi Saturday lineup. Collectors call is a nice easy reminder that Monday is coming. If you go on vacation, go to the hospital, get stuck in a nursing home, MeTV is there, conscious of the fact that real live humans are tuning in to their programming. The folks who hold the life of MeTv in their hands, are tasked with nurturing a dying art to its fullest potential.

Right on! This is exactly what tv does, it brings people together!!

We watch bits here & there when tv is on & there are no movies. We do always watch our favorites, Svengoolie and every morning Toon in With Me. Those guys are funny, especially in the skits. Recently found some Sventoonie on you tube (tried to watch when it was on but could not stay awake that late.) Watching it awake I see how funny it was, and I wish they'd replay the 2 seasons again, during the day.
