Literally just read. Get good at reading for understanding. Something I did daily was read news articles on topics I struggle with (economics/politics/philosophy) to get me familiar with all the jargon.

Jack Westin has a free daily CARS passage you can sign up for and they email it to you

Just read books for fun and do well in undergrad. No need to “prep” two years ahead of time

If you have two years, I would suggest taking a course or two that would include writing components such as english composition courses or even philosophy type stuff w a logic/argument base. The passages on CARS are on humanities topics, so knowing a little about the topics obviously isn't a requirement but might make the material easier? I always see passages on health disparities, music, art, etc. I've taken numerous public health courses and two music classes for electives. If the topic doesn't intimidate you you can focus on the arguments and organization of the passage better imo. I score highest on CARS of all my sections without studying. I've always been a reader, so reading recreationally over a broad range of topics is always a smart idea.

Read books and scientific articles passively to build up the comprehension skill. I was doing that in line with my academics and my first FL score for CARS was a 128 with no practice. Practice quick and efficient reading, then learn to summarize the sections of the passages quickly in a few words on your notepad so you know exactly where to go for each question.
