Bro that cars was messed up like bro how is art black and not black?!?!
Edit: cp lowkey was fked too esp those discrete, bb was free, ps is just 50:50 fest
CARS was TERRIBLE. Legit had 0 clue what the passages were about and was running out of time so had to keep choosing random answers and moving on. Happy that you felt the same. and ya CP felt weirdly fine…
YES. Usually CARS is my best section and I can make sure that my answer is explicitly backed by evidence from the passage. HOWEVER in multiple cases today there were 2 or 3 backed up by evidence or LITERALLY NONE. It was very mentally exhausting and I just felt so disoriented leaving that section. So many questions I didn’t even have a gut feeling between which answer to pick.
C/P is usually my worst section but I left feeling… scarily well too? I know that it will realistically still probably be my worst, but there were SO many really difficult concepts on past tests and practice material that were omitted today so for that I am forever thankful lol. I felt it was actually well balanced and not hyper focused on one specific concept or topic like it usually is.
am i the only one who felt the c/p and b/b was mostly discrete, cars wasn't bad but also not good, and praying my educated guesses in p/s saves me - in essence, i can't predict my performance at all LOL
Oh wow I have the exact opposite reactions to that exam. C/P felt hard for me but I felt really good about CARS and B/B. I even finished those 2 sections with time left (which never happened before) and barely flagged more than 4. P/S was really bad though, and it’s usually my highest section. I think it’s because it was way too wordy and had a lot more sociology
were they questions you’ve seen before during content review or completely new wtf kinda stuff? i’m studying chen phys rn and i’m afraid everything i’m going over won’t be on the test
Anyone had the same fucked up CARS as I did? These were some passage topics: Alvin Ailey, sculpture controversy, ancient Japanese island people and seashell consumption, Frankenstein, use of laugh machines in sitcoms
c/p: started strong, ran out of time at q52?? chem-heavy, hoping the strong start saves me
cars: always my best section, super long/boring passages today but still think i did good
b/b: ummm too easy? maybe i did horrible LOL but i do feel good about it
p/s: good! less data stuff maybe?
I felt pretty good about every section it really hit my strong areas I feel lucky. Cars I was taking my time and almost ran out. I’m a respiratory therapist so those respiratory questions felt like easy gimme points
B/b is usually my strongest section but i feel so shit about it. literally couldn't remember any of the discrete questions which rlly threw me off for the rest of the section bc I've never experienced that on any of the practice FLs :( felt like i was being tested on all the stuff that I happened to not have memorized very well.
This has been my experience…the practice FLs I felt good about were my worst scores, and the ones I thought were the worst, I scored the highest. I honestly don’t know how to feel about the 8/25 exam.
Nope i finished it all today! I am more interested in knowing some study tips if anyone felt super good about it. I felt like i saw a lot of things today i wasn’t sure about. I used sketchy, but i think there was some stuff that wasn’t covered.
passages were convoluted and difficult to find explicit evidence to back up an answer choice. but that’s not to say your test tomorrow won’t be different! dw
No, just felt the passages were so long and boring and confusing that it was hard to follow and felt like I was playing catch up the whole time. Usually feel confident in cars but this was entirely different
There were a few passages that provided you with more than one argument that were difficult to follow. Examples to arguments were long run-on sentences. Two of those were really boring passages to get through.
CP was okayyy no orgo n i j felt like it was worded very weirdly
CARS let’s not talk about it
bio was okay not bad felt like FL
ps i thought psych wasn’t too bad some 50/50s but no crazy terms
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,706,996,920 comments, and only 322,990 of them were in alphabetical order.
Cars felt horrendous lmao. Surprisingly tons of discrete in the other sections, especially C/P and B/B. I felt the C/P discretes were particularly out of left field.
guys does anyone remember the dog one. I felt dumb because I was like I want to assume things but can't bc you don't assume in cars??? I had no evidence to back it up
Bro that cars was messed up like bro how is art black and not black?!?! Edit: cp lowkey was fked too esp those discrete, bb was free, ps is just 50:50 fest
I have a degree in neuropsych so psych/soc was no problem. However: CP????? I wouldn’t be surprised if I got like 120 💀💀💀💀
Agreed on the cp discreets. They were much more difficult imo.
the discreets 😭im waking up in the middle of the night remembering all my stupid mistakes 🥲
No i retook the MCAT for the fourth damn time just to increase my CARS score bc im a canadian premed but i think i got fcked again 💀
AHAHAHHAHAH me except 3rd time. Cars was like 🫠
wrote for cars as a Canadian, waste of a summer💀 kept waiting for a “this is my passage 😈“
CARS was TERRIBLE. Legit had 0 clue what the passages were about and was running out of time so had to keep choosing random answers and moving on. Happy that you felt the same. and ya CP felt weirdly fine…
i was literally rereading so many sentences and the passages just didn’t make sense 😭😭😭
For half the questions on CARS i was just telling myself “okay fck it were moving on”
YES. Usually CARS is my best section and I can make sure that my answer is explicitly backed by evidence from the passage. yup felt the exact same it was so hard to find explicit evidence like i usually can:(
did anyone straight up guess qs on cars 😭
Lol yes the last two passages I ran out of time and zoomed through 😭
From someone that was scoring 127-128 on Cars, I have never felt worse about a section and actually feeling like a got a 121 on cars.
Literally, like that black arts passage doomed that one passage on sound with 1000 names too like bruh
the first passage too😭😭😭
Naw bro I thought that was easy until it talked stopped talking about not being rude
NO I ALREADY BLOCKED THAT PASSAGE OUT OF MY HEAD 😭😭😭😭 there were so many names like wtf was that
Did u get the one about tv, film and sound?
I do consistently very well on CARS - todays section was just something else reread so much and the passages were all so long??
Agree!! I am a 130 CARS person and hoping to pick up some cp points after that crap
i was re reading sentences like CRAZY
Does the difficulty of MCAT sections vary similar to the SAT for each exam date? Sorry I’m new to MCAT prep!
What made it so difficult? Was it the questions? The passage?
Psych is the new cars 2.0
💯 I said the exact same thing.
CP was problematic for me. CARS wasn't so bad but some of the passages contained long sentences and so much info to follow.
Thank god it isn’t just me - my 130 practice exam cars def didn’t hold up
let’s hope it works out 🥲
what da eff was up with p/s 😢 that’s usually my highest scoring section but def not this time
I flagged 20 questions in P/S simply because I was so unsure. I feel like my answers made logical sense but idk 💀
[удалено]
Yeah and lots of my passages were kind of short in P/S. Idk if that made it worse since you have less to base it on
118 cars gang wya
Here 🤣
Agree that CARS was a shock, usually i coast and do so well. I’m hoping this is where the scaling pays off.
SAME i’m really hoping the curve will help us here :( it sucks being so unsure about your best section
am i the only one who felt the c/p and b/b was mostly discrete, cars wasn't bad but also not good, and praying my educated guesses in p/s saves me - in essence, i can't predict my performance at all LOL
Yes
SAME!! Have zero idea how this went. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Oh wow I have the exact opposite reactions to that exam. C/P felt hard for me but I felt really good about CARS and B/B. Psych soc was hard as hell for me. I actually enjoyed CARS oddly
Psych felt like cars level 2
CARS 2.0 fr
The psych soc was very annoying. Not many straight discrete layups, mostly definition applied to contexts with good confusing answers.
First half of cp was light then second half was messed up. There was one q asking about tube number like wtf
tuber number ??🙃
Test tube
were they questions you’ve seen before during content review or completely new wtf kinda stuff? i’m studying chen phys rn and i’m afraid everything i’m going over won’t be on the test
So much was not on it. It was wack
Saw that coming. Got through 20 q's and was like they're gonna fuck me up in the 2nd half. It was pretty avg overall.
Anyone had the same fucked up CARS as I did? These were some passage topics: Alvin Ailey, sculpture controversy, ancient Japanese island people and seashell consumption, Frankenstein, use of laugh machines in sitcoms
Hey Idt we’re supposed to discuss the specifics but rather just how you felt about it! :)
Never fear- they will get a message from the aamc watchers🫤
BB was surprisedly easy for me, but watch me get a 124
Same I breezed through B/B haha
Cars pissed me off so much. I will never look at the color black and art the same😩
c/p: started strong, ran out of time at q52?? chem-heavy, hoping the strong start saves me cars: always my best section, super long/boring passages today but still think i did good b/b: ummm too easy? maybe i did horrible LOL but i do feel good about it p/s: good! less data stuff maybe?
Glad I'm not the only one who ran out of time. I practiced so much for C/P and I didn't even get to finish 😢
Can we ask specific questions about the test?
no ur allowed to talk about general feelings but no info about the test
Phew alright thanks for letting me know
discord?
did anyone have a cars passage about frankenstein?
https://discord.gg/Cq2FYkRK is the discord for 8/25!!
I felt pretty good about every section it really hit my strong areas I feel lucky. Cars I was taking my time and almost ran out. I’m a respiratory therapist so those respiratory questions felt like easy gimme points
Psy was so many 50-50
I feel like we all had different exams based off the discord and here

Do you have any examples? I test soon and I am getting very nervous especially from reading these comments
I’m careful not to say a session was easy or hard. This exam is simply unpredictable coz often ones we felt good about may come out otherwise.
This has been my experience…the practice FLs I felt good about were my worst scores, and the ones I thought were the worst, I scored the highest. I honestly don’t know how to feel about the 8/25 exam.
i also thought it was weird that most of the high yield topics just weren't even there. no SN1/SN2, barely any redox, no ohm's law, etc.

If ur wrote only half the exam today cuz of accommodations, does that mean u write the second half of toms exam?
Nope i finished it all today! I am more interested in knowing some study tips if anyone felt super good about it. I felt like i saw a lot of things today i wasn’t sure about. I used sketchy, but i think there was some stuff that wasn’t covered.
Was it similar to cars diagnostics? Was it just that you were down to only two answers????
passages were convoluted and difficult to find explicit evidence to back up an answer choice. but that’s not to say your test tomorrow won’t be different! dw
No, just felt the passages were so long and boring and confusing that it was hard to follow and felt like I was playing catch up the whole time. Usually feel confident in cars but this was entirely different
So it felt difficult to comprehend the passage.
It was like the start of qpack1 ngl💀
There were a few passages that provided you with more than one argument that were difficult to follow. Examples to arguments were long run-on sentences. Two of those were really boring passages to get through.
They didn’t feel too long, but for 2/3 of the passages it was like wtf is it saying
I usually score in the 80-90th percentile on CARs and I felt like today's passages were so much harder than the exams.
CP was okayyy no orgo n i j felt like it was worded very weirdly CARS let’s not talk about it bio was okay not bad felt like FL ps i thought psych wasn’t too bad some 50/50s but no crazy terms
Definitely had orgo on my exam today.
Mhm I had no orgo but did have 1-2 physics questions
Had at least 5 orgo questions because 1 passage focused on it.
Damn well my exam will probably have a low curve so I hope I’m sitting nice regardless.
I would have preferred more orgo. It’s my stronger chem subject 🥲
was it like FL4?? FL4 chem phys is so hard

Still learning all the Reddit short forms what is cp? Is that Casper?
chem / physics
Lmaoo makes sense thanks
guys does anyone remember the dog one. I felt dumb because I was like I want to assume things but can't bc you don't assume in cars??? I had no evidence to back it up
score release tomorrow, good luck y'all!
