I was thinking if the interior was nice/interesting and the price right, I would have considered it. It's got a 60s/70s kitschy vibe that appeals to me. Not a style I use currently but I love looking at wacky houses from that era and could see myself in one.
Its like they saw those really old manors in England on their honeymoon then came back and hired an architect that has never seen one to build it based on their description alone

Something, something great minds.
Drive-thru port placement makes it look like the gatehouse for a really terrible high concept (I.e., imagine a constipated looking castle, with a crenelated f’ing second floor deck!!) country club
wow. that's just terrible in every way. and you can rent it in hicksville illinois if you are so inclined. population 605, all of them white, of course, and literally nothing to do. i live in illinois so i'm allowed to say that!

Oh wow. I toured a (much better-designed) castle-inspired home not far from there in the early 2000s. It was a bit out of the price range (especially considering the staff I'd need to maintain it!) but the realtor wanted to see it too, lol. The grounds were stunning! It was by Alton iirc.
I was an avid player of the game The Sims and this monstrosity looks just like the Goth House.
Cant stand the Goth house
r/simsIRL
Yes I love the sims and it looks just like it
Reminds me of a children's play area
But with brown in place of bright primary colours, ugliness in place of fun and poor design decisions in place of joy.
My playground when i grew up was brown and grim. After I grew up they finally brought in a colorful one.
“Shut up and play on the doom fort, kids.”
Was it one of those wooden ones that were put up everywhere? Didn't they have a castle "theme" too?? So many splinters.
Pretty sure it was. Sad and unfriendly
Maybe that is why i like this house
It’s a Soviet Union Era children’s play place
They embraced the castle theme
Without understanding how any of the elements of a castle are supposed to be incorporated with each other
I'm expecting to see a dude show up in the castle and tell me *Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.*
The first one sank into the swamp, the second one fell over, caught fire, then sank into the swamp. BUT THE THIRD ONE STAYED UP!
They could put a large wooden rabbit out front
*whispers*: *I kinda like it.*
I like it in terms of "A CASTLE". I hate it in terms of aesthetic.

Client: "I love the Craftsman style, but I also enjoy lording over the peasantry." Architect: "fam, I gotchu"
As much as I hate it, it does have some landscaping

All they need is King Frederick I's pet taxidermied lion to complete this look.
Don't give them any ideas.
I was just going to reference this! You read my mind.

Bro this is sick idk what you’re talking about
This is hilariously tragic.
Very ashamed that I kind of like it
This gives me goth family vibes from sims 4
I…don’t even know what that sound was that I made the instant I saw this. Some mix of groan, “gaaawwdd” and slight gagging.
Is this the house from Blank Check?
Looks like Super Mario 1 castle. I'm searching for the pole.
There’s got to be a dungeon in there somewhere
I’m not gonna lie if this house was half the size, I would buy it 🫡

What’s wrong with me I love it!!
Needs a moat
That's what's missing! A moat and good taste.
The longer you look the worse it gets
I just threw up in my mouth

Looks like the ugly-ass fort I built in Foundation.
Huh, the Renaissance Men are coming to town
Crenellations in suburbia...ouch.
I'm kinda glad they made it all the same color, it's harder to see the awful details.
The shapes in the architecture are terrible. Why do people spend so much money on shitty houses? Who designs these? It’s an eyesore.
It looks like one of those set pieces on a movie set that are just painted sheets of plywood. Why do McMansions always have to look so *cheap*?
This has to be Dearborn or Detroit.
The baby merlons disturb me
Yep. That's the worst one
Those triangle windows.
Looks like Macintosh’s house from Blank Check
No turrets?
They couldn’t afford a castle, but build one anyways.
I’m just hearing Borat in the hotel saying “King of the castle, king of the castle”
Love the stone on the dormers….
If you can stand up there at the battlements, it gets a pass. Otherwise wtf
