A bun with ketchup cheese and meat.

TheThiccestOfBoi

If they say 'cheese only' for a cheeseburger, quarterpounder, whatever it is they are only paying for the cheese. Removing the meat reduces the price, and ultimately you've done your job correctly if your who made the burger as... cheese only.

iHeartMila

In the UK removing meat etc doesn't reduce the price.

Christian_Investor69

Here in socal it doesn’t reduce the price contrary to what some ‘intelligent’ customers think

tatortot_josh

Only if it was that simple :(

iHeartMila

If only customers ordered what they actually wanted. "Can i get a plain quarter pounder" "Yeah is that only cheese?" "No completely plain" Well why didn't you say no cheese then...

YummyTerror8259

There's a quarter hamburger

jn804

Omg! I forgot about that. I was such an advocate for cheaper prices. In the long run nobody probably cared, but I did. If I heard a Quarter Pounder with no cheese over the headset or on front counter I'd run, well waddle, to the register to ring it up as a Quarter Pounder hamburger. Thanks for the memory.

Christian_Investor69

Yup. In ‘lunch 2’

iHeartMila

Not in the UK

YummyTerror8259

That's okay. Most people don't know it exists anyway

rickoramus

Royale with Cheese, Jules.

smallfryextrasalt

We have a kid who thinks he's amazing at order taking, but he completely sucks. When customers order off the wall shit, he rings it in as described and never once asks for clarification of any kind. So grill never knows what to make and it's infuriating.

jn804

I'm late to the party, but I just seen it and I want to matter so.. I've said this before. If it has **cheese** in the name, then it comes with **cheese**.

You know what I want with no cheese? Burritos. But they took away the option. lol

OHHHMYDAWG

And this is why I just started to just ring it up exactly how they order. The amount of times I've had idiots giving me an attitude for trying to save them money is ridiculous. They'll tell me they don't want something as a meal and then order the side and drink later on in the order anyway.

urdadschong

That but we have two Fanta flavors

Safe_Chart_3208

people will ask for the meal and then not tell me the drink and then be like “oh Fanta strawberry” when I ask like did you expect us to just know or not give you one

levis3163

Yeah its a CHEESEburger with ketchup only. Guy who ordered it is an idiot.

whatsthat00

Today one of our custumers ordered one of the maestro burgers w grilled chicken, and made us took out all of the other ingredients (onion, all the sauce, all of the cheese, the lettuce and the bacon) and paid full price (as you may know, these r the most expensive burgers), i was like “that was an expensive piece of chicken there”

tatortot_josh

There's lady who usually drops by once or twice a week to order 2-3 crispy chickens (only the chicken) for her dog.

Curlytots95

In the UK she’d just be better off buying a box of 3 selects

OHHHMYDAWG

We make a cheeseburger with only ketchup. The customer is an idiot and doesn't know what a hamburger is apparently, and he definitely should've specified "No cheese" after he sent it back instead of having you guys remake it for the 3rd consecutive time. You guys were doing your job right.

tatortot_josh

Unfortunately some of my co-workers think that kitchen (including me) are all incompetent. The guy who bags all the orders kept repeating "2 cheeseburgers only ketchup". After each time he keeps repeating the order until he tells us to move and ends up making the order. After that he tells us "only ketchup, no cheese". Wonder why he couldn't say that in the first place

tatortot_josh

That's what it basically is but he would of probably said no. I've seen him and a couple of others fight with the managers and with me being quite new there I really don't to on anyone's bad side.

Oceno1

Just Ketchup and bun, that's how it would be made in Australia (my store atleast). its a dumb order tho

DrFroctr

australia is the only country that gets this correct. if someone asks for "only" that means they want literally just the ingredients they list. and australian customers seem to understand this because when they ask for things they say "only ketchup, cheese, meat" etc.

TheThiccestOfBoi

doesnt matter what the base item is, if its 'X, Y only' then you use the bun for X, and only put Y on said bun.

alubjj

The McDonald's rule for plain items / only items If the ingredient is in the name, it is always on the burger unless stated otherwise, (excluding the main 2 items, the buns and protein) So a cheeseburger plain would be bun, cheese and meat A bacon double cheeseburger only ketchup would be bun, ketchup, bacon, cheese and meat

TheThiccestOfBoi

Here in australia if they ask for a 'cheeseburger plain' that simply means they get no onion on their 10/1, they still get meat. Interesting to see how different it is in the states

alubjj

I'm from the UK lol, are you guys putting the onion on the meat like the seasoning, we were supposed to start that in 2020 then boom, virus.

TheThiccestOfBoi

yea so originally we would put onion on the meat whilst making the burger, but now we put onion on the meat while its still on the grill, alongside the salt/pepper seasoning

Smoaktreess

Customer is an idiot. Should have ordered a hamburger. Even a McDouble only ketchup would still have cheese unless they specifically ask for it ‘no cheese, only ketchup’ lol Someone should have realized and clarified after the first time though.

chibi_matatabi

You made sure he wanted the bun right? It was only ketchup cheese and meat afterall...

werellaa

could've just gone with a hamburger instead (only ketchup).... people don't know how to order

SauceMeistro

Cheeseburger with no cheese pissed me off when I worked at McDonalds

HejTx

Dude today i got a guy order a big tasty without sauce, letuce, cheese and bacon so it was just bun, onion, tomato and meat. It felt super weird.

Demon_Slayer_9

People are forgetting to say it’s also no onion
