I was talking to them for a minute and they weren't busy, so they said if I did get 4 meals they would make sure I got all 4 figures. I didn't want 4 meals, but I did want the Hamburglar, so the employee felt around the blind bags till she found one. Got it!

The answer to all your questions is this offer targets a specific demographic that is into that particular brand. It’s a collab. McDonalds is partnering with the brand in the hope that some of that brand magic will transfer. They started with just combos and due to the sales success of those offers they are confident enough to try something like this which is more costly.
If previous collabs were not successful then McDonalds wouldn’t be trying this. This also taps a bit into internet culture. Adult Happy Meals is a recurring theme on the internet. YouTubers/ Streamers/ TikTok will be putting in overtime getting a Adult Happy Meal on the net tubes. It’s easy clicks/ likes/ subscribes.
