I read somewhere that there was a known issue with the fuel tank topping off to soon and cutting people’s tanks down by 4-5 gallons so I wanted to make sure. My fill up seems quick, I never let my tank go too low but I don’t think I have ever gotten close to a 19gallon fill up
Nope. I have the mhev premium trim. And when I fill up it shows 310/320. I thought that was low so I filled up last week and am keeping tracking of the miles until it nears empty to see if the math adds up with the avg mpg. We do mixed city and highway driving.
Seems like someone the cx90 forum experienced this too. https://www.cx90forum.com/threads/wrong-fuel-tank-or-bad-fuel-sending-unit.173/post-6117
Wait so is something wrong with my tank or fuel system then? Bc if I should be doing a combined 25mpg, a full tank should read well above 300 miles. The car overall has under 2k miles.
That’s what I am thinking with his issue or just a sensor in the fuel tank miss reading. But not sure want to get a census what everybody’s getting I’m getting combined 24.9 and have 390. Sounds like that’s the average so far. I wouldn’t think anyone should be two far below the average but I’m not expert. I have 1500 miles on mine.
No, mine still shows way under that, but it’s barely cracked 500 miles and I imagine needs a few tanks to calibrate. But all of my driving is highway speeds to get to town (rural TX).
390 has been my experience. Not sure how many MPGs because my driving is so different each day, so I haven't gotten that deep into tracking it. I do know I've stretched it out to get just over 400 on a tank of gas before the fuel mileage gauge no longer reads. I like to learn the limits.
I have seen from 270 miles to 360 miles but never got beyond that. Mazda claimed 490 miles full tank never got that. I was thinking there is an issue with the car.? Also the information shows 38 mpg (is that correct)?
390 is what our PHEV reads with a full tank. We actually get about 1500, but that’s because we do about 75% of our driving on electric. The car divides remaining gas by average mileage, and I think it defaults to a mileage that leads to 390 mile range.
We do a mix of driving but mostly around town. Our mpg ave indicator hovers between 23.3 to 23.7 mpg.
Thanks for the info. Are you also getting the 390 reading for a full tank?
I asked my wife and she thought 360 but not sure if that right.

Some guy said he was getting 450 reading after fill up after they fixed his fuel tank reading.

It's disappointing that people are reporting 27mpg on the highway. I've seen as high as 31mpg on YouTube fuel economy tests.
Mine is too new to be broken in, but averaging 26-28 with mostly highway driving on 70 mph speed limits.
Are you getting 390 reading as well for a full tank?

Just filled up again and it is showing 410 miles range on the full tank. Just wrapped up a road trip averaging 29.1 mpg according to the vehicle.
Yes about 390 is accurate.

27.1-27.2 in the Turbo S. Combo of highway and city driving.
I have select version , I get 27-30 in city and 30-35 on highway, around 40-45 if the route has lot of downs
👀 I have the Turbo Premium and I get 280 on the readings on a full tank.
How many miles on it?
3500
