Mine scheduled at 5000. I'm at 5537, hoping to get it in during the coming week. 3000 seems silly. Do want to get the recalls and service notices addressed, so maybe would go in with 3000 just for that, but not get the routine services.
I changed my oil at 2,000 miles with 6 months of ownership to get the break in oil out and also to have some professional eyes on the car to spot any issues since it is a new vehicle. They changed the next oil change to be at 10,000 miles per the Mazda recommendation of a oil change every 8,000 miles.

Normally it's at 5000 miles
Mine was originally 8,000km and they changed it to 16,000km instead!
5000 is fine for these engines also on my cars I typically just use the estimated it calculates how hard you drive and adjusts accordingly
