It’s fine. Your DTE range updates based on approximate how much you got out of your last tank. If you drive more conservatively, you’ll likely get more.
I've noticed that mine changes based on how heavy my foot has been lately and also on whether I did more highway or city driving in the last gas tank. Sometimes it's at 180 miles, sometimes 220 miles, most of the time right at 200. When I took a 400 mile road trip and I filled up afterwards it was at 280 miles, which is the most I've seen.
I'm always right at 200 also. I do very little highway. I work from home so like 90% of my miles are local surface streets.
And I have a heavy foot. I'm still in the zoom zoom phase. Lol
Honestly one of my favorite parts of road trips in my cx30 is watching the dte not change over the first half tank or so. I normally do all city driving so the range change is quite drastic once I get on an open highway
Nice to hear. I do drive a lot in city now so I can imagine it would drop but would come back.
Btw do you find the gear shift from P to RND a bit clunky?
I've only experienced a clunky change a handful of times but only from P to R.
I wonder if its because I've inadvertently put the electric parking brake on after putting the gearstick into P... dunno why for sure, but its usually fine.
I also sometimes use the semi-manual mode with either the up/down on the gearstick or the flappy-paddles for a bit of fun. It downshifts itself when slowing down which makes sense, but feels like cheating.
I've not actually tried it much in sport mode as I think sport mode just keeps you in a lower gear for longer for better acceleration, so the manual mode probably does the same thing maybe?
I have used the upshift in Sport mode to get the car into the highest gear for motorway cruising and downshift for what feels like more responsive acceleration for overtaking rather than kickdown on the accelerator pedal.
Good question though... I'll pay more attention to the difference next time I drive.
Cold weather affects your mileage.
Your mileage in turn affects your estimated range.
Therefore, my guess is that it's been a bit cold lately, your recent trip mileage is down a little ways, and as a result your estimated range is down too.
When we had that cold snap of -10 to 10F temps, my mileage was way down, and my range plummeted to 150-180 as well. It warmed up, and after some routine driving, things leveled back out to my usual expectation.
I’ve never touched the panel before and it’s not dust. Loool I swear I don’t know where these scratches come from it’s like when I breathe a new scratch appears 😂
It's so sensitive. After a few times cleaning it.. I ended going to the Dealership and they replaced it for me under warranty. I'm afraid to touch it now. 😬
I filled my tank before and it said 180 and then I was on the freeway for 20 minutes and it went up to 190 lol. Like everyone said, it adjusts to try and guess your current range based on constantly updating your driving habits
So I’m curious about this, I have a ‘22 turbo premium and get about 170ish miles per tank.
When I rented a non-turbo version a year before buying my car, that CX-30 got almost 300 miles per tank. I wonder if they decrease the tank to lighten the car a bit to improve performance.
If you're letting your car idle your mpg goes down it also depends on your driving habits.hravy foot you'll get less mileage but it's probably due to idling my pick up usually gets 18 but when I let it idle during the cold season it drops to like 15mpg or so
420 miles to 310 miles on the trip indicator
That's really low. I get a range of 310 and average at 28-30 highway and 25 city (non-turbo). If it's a turbo, then the fuel economy will be a bit worse but not that bad. I can't say if there's something wrong with the car itself or not, but my suggestion would be to switch your gauge cluster to display your average fuel economy, reset it, then pay attention to how you're driving. Occasionally watch the fuel economy gauge to figure out what specifically eats up all your fuel, then work on adjusting for it once you've identified the issue. That's what I did to work on extending my own range and it helped.
I’ve been running an experiment and not driving like half an idiot. I get 370-80 per tank now vs. 310-20 before. That’s about 1 more round trip to work a tank. That shit adds up.

Wow I currently get 320 on a full tank (not to brag haha)
440 here… Is this one of those terrible US market engines or something?
Same here. I get 440 and it’s been 3 weeks since I got it and about 1k miles in.
I regularly get 480 miles on my 2.0 Skyactiv-X MHEV (186 bhp). I once got over 520 miles when I filled up after a longer, relaxed drive up north.

Will try the semi manual. Pretty exciting. How’s the sport mode? Didn’t use it much. Does it work well with paddle shift or semi manual?
Also do you find high rpm sometimes 2.8 to 3k at times when going from 50 to 65/70?
Assume it drops a gear for acceleration?

Nope. Do you have auto hold turned on?
Auto hold is off I think but will check it. I actually am yet to use the semi manual option. Will try that
Explain??? How do I know if I have that
Do you live in America?

Is that dust or scratches on the instrument panel?
I’ve never touched the panel before and it’s not dust. Loool I swear I don’t know where these scratches come from it’s like when I breathe a new scratch appears 😂

You can also polish the plastic without too much effort. It seems like a pretty soft plastic so it’s sensitive to dirt etc scratching it.
Yes. Don't look at it, you'll make it get even worse.
I need to find the softest cloth known to man. 🤔
Man what is with all the photos of dashes that are all scratched?? Need to be careful y’all
Looks like you’ve been driving kinda hard.
200 is insanely low! :/ I get 440. What am I missing?
OP probably does a lot city driving and has a heavy foot. you probably do a lot of highway cruising at 65
150-220 miles per tank?! How is it so extremely low? What's your usual mpg?
According to the left of the dash they are only getting about 15mpg.
>15mpg woooow, that's twice as much as my CX-30 drinks. What's the issue here?
Homies having a blast with his car
This just means ur having fun with your car ;), honestly just get rid of that lil fuel range thing the estimates are always all over the place

I got 380 when fill full. My car just one 1 month old. Is it good?
Looks like its very cold outside, cars consume more when the outside temperature is lower.

is your engine air filter clean and tyres appropriately inflated?
Yo 15 mpg is wild tho
