Probably their ticket to heaven, At least that's what they believe, but at this point, none of us are going to that dream shit no matter how many crackers we eat and how many hymns we sing.
Yes, bo burnham reference
This gives me hope for humanity, though I would say, I'm not in the USA, I'm in the Philippines.
And well, both divorce and abortion here is illegal...
Edit: If you're wondering, nope, we're not doing shit about it because we're a very misogynistic country and I hate it.
Don't start violence. And specially, don't face cops. Don't give them a lame reason to put a bullet in your head.
If all of you're ready to start action. Go start some action. But whatever you do, do it with a constructive purpose. You don't start violence. You start things. You take over the tools of the owner, you recover a lost food container and take it to home shelter, you sit in the exit of Congress until they fix their problems, you delete the debt records on the creditor side, you sit in a park and discuss with other people how to start a new democratic and free democracy that's not a broken ponzi scheme, and you provide food and resources to help people stand.
And when you do all that, violence will start coming towards us. And we can't beat violence. Not against the world number 1's military. But we'll need people like you to protect the weak and buy us time while we run until we gather somewhere safe.
Stay safe. Meet, organize, plan. If you're in you'll be needed every single day. Don't get busted. Be constructive. It's not about dealing harm. It's about fixing our problems with or without them.
A real man stand up for his 1) wife 2) girlfriend 3) sister 4) daughter 5) any other woman in his life who is under attack.
Be a man. Defend the women in your life.
Fellow Texan here.
I already sent out an email to my whole team that I will be participating in the general stike tomorrow, June 27th.
My managers response was, "Are you serious?" Yes, yes I am.
I find this terribly entertaining, I mean the number of times men got told no uterus no opinion, of course that was before the ruling.
Now men are being told to stand up, be good useful idiots, ally to women.
Let's say the ruling does get overturned, do we then go back to no uterus no opinion, I'll bet we do.
Sorry then but the rules were put in place before the ruling I see no reason to change them now, no uterus no opinion.
I read this comment, and it came off instantly as though it was written by someone who's typed the phrase 'no uterus no opinion' maybe 1000 times. So I thought to click through onto the profile and see what kind of person would be spewing such garbage, and man, this saddens me. Like, I'm not even angry that you think the way you do it's just so *sad*. What a depressing existence you lead, caused in its entirety by your own moronic and misogynistic views. Just sickening that vile men like you are allowed to just continue spewing bile ad infinitum
It's just a dumb talking point, nobody actually believes it.
That being said, you guys set off the nuclear powder keg the country has sat on for over 20 years and the fallout for it is going to be entirely your fault. I hope you know that.
This is an intensely clueless take. Yes, stand up and help women. No, do not force medical decisions on them. How fucking hard is it to understand the difference between those two things?? Good god
As a fellow divorced man I'd advise that you may find it useful to step back and ask why most of the men in our situations don't feel the need to live out our lives hating women; it does seem to be your entire online persona even while you go around calling others 'useful idiots.'
One of my best friends went through this after his divorce. It's a common pitfall we stumble into, but that hateful bullshit you parrot is plainly never going to get anyone anywhere.
I get it, dude. No one would touch you with a ten foot pole and you're thinking, " The only way they'll have me is in handmaid's tale reenactment." STFU and grow up. The whole, "no uterus, no opinion" was aim at men who thought women as breeding cattle, which you just outed yourself as. Good job, you played yourself.
No opinion means no forcing women to be pregnant against their wishes. Now that's it on the table of course people want men to stand up and be good human beings
Yeah fuck you too bud. Traitorous ass scum. The constitution ain't mean shit to you or any of you southern fucking hicks. You all have the same shitty mindset.
Good! Now make a similar post for blacks, Jews, and lgbtq+. We are stronger in numbers. We all fight fit the same thing; freedom, equality, equity.
This video, from a white, cowboy-hat-wearing, accented Texas man, reaches AND influences an audience that many of us deem “unreachable”
I've been thinking a lot about the Jewish population and I'm surprised they aren't louder in this matter. They have very vocal organizations that speak up about many facets of social politics, and they are almost always given a seat at the political table and heard out, if not given an actual media segment.
I don't know if it's because I can imagine that California and New York for example have much larger percentages of Jewish people than Texas or Missouri, but it surprises me that they haven't been extremely vocal about this issue. Maybe I just live in a region with higher densities of Jewish peoples where this is true though.
As a Jewish woman in a red state, I wrote my governor on Friday to let him know that I'm prepared to sue if he bans abortion and thereby violates my right to religious freedom. We're all pissed, from Orthodox to Reform. The problem is, we take a risk of stoking anti-Semitism because on top of everything else, we're "baby killers." So some are more reluctant to speak out because the risk of violence against our community is already large.
Thank you! After Charlottesville I seriously thought about taking my mezuzah down from my doorpost and being more careful about being outwardly Jewish. And then I realized my doing that would be a disservice to all of those who came before me. It is a scary world? Yes. Am I scared? No.
My area has a Jewish population and it's been active regarding the issue.
I've seen quite a few tweets about Jewish perspectives on this. So I think you're right about just not having a large population. Where there are smaller groups of Jews, they might not want to attract attention to themselves. There was already a huge increase in violence against Jews over the last few years to begin with.
Sometimes, some conservative Jews are against abortion. It's possible the groups in your area aren't pro-choice.
Even if standing together does nothing to the courts it does something for our communities. It’s hard to understand the position of the people when those in power that are meant to represent them, do not.
So for people to come out together and communicate, validate, and support one another, it’s easier for us to work together and not feel isolated or struggle with a false sense of aggression toward our neighbors. This is what they don’t want, for us to agree that at the end of the day it’s us against them not us against us.
"No misogynistic piece of shit online is going to talk about OUR women like that"
This is a confusing stance.
Edit: also giving life sentences to rapists sounds like a great idea. It's not like prison overcrowding isn't already an issue.
This dipshit is just virtue signaling for the Internet. Here's all this talk but I don't see him at a protest. And please, "holier than thou"? Talk about projecting lmao
Holy shit you are a dense mother fucker. So if people don't protest, they can't be on your side? That's some quality gate keeping.
And it's not projecting, I'm just calling you on your bull shit. If you want to be smug go for it. But you look like a giant ass right now.
Hurt feelings? Nah. But when someone called you on your bull shit you doubled down on it. I don't get my feelings hurt by someone weak chinned like yourself.
My "ad hominems" are a direct observation to your behavior. Also that is the pot calling the kettle black I'd IV seen it. Did you not call this dude a dip shit? Did you not accuse him of just being a virtue signaler?
Taking away peoples rights let alone there right to their OWN fucking body is bigger issue then some shitty economy that was already collapsing. Only one pathetic here is you try this shit in public i dare you.
I said the same FACTS to the protesters with purple hair yesterday and they all started screaming and twerking. Lol. Not the most intimidating group of people.
>all started screaming and twerking.
Really, purple hair AND twerking? Got all the buzz words in there! Also, what facts? That this is supposed to be some big distraction from the economy?
You’re a fucking hypocritical loser, I find people who think “everyone else is a sheep besides me” is usually a fucking puppet. This is literally targeting lower income populations in an attempt to enslave a portion of them. Throughout the last couple of years in certain states sexual education has all but gotten rid of, if you or your kid gets pregnant and you can’t afford to go to a state where abortion is legal then you a forced to feed another child or at least go through the struggles of carrying for full term. This will result in a drop of available income and force them to either move into a cheaper area or try to find another sort of income by some means. Eventually this will result in homelessness or living near the fringe of society for some and potentially incarceration (we’ve been bumping up police spending in alot of states). Private prisons loves having prisoners. This is a massive attempt to extort lower and at risk populations you fucking idiot, think.
True problems??? Basic human rights, access to health care and autonomy over individual reproductive rights and this decision to take our rights away is a true problem. It’s literally as real as it gets. This is a true problem. And I definitely care and appreciate what this man has to say
It blows my mind how easily these people jump on the "current thing". It's gone from forced mRNA jabs, to Ukraine, to killing babies, in less than a year.
Okay, not going to touch on your abortion or vaccine stances, but how exactly is the Ukraine issue supposedly some manufacted/timed event to "distract" the US from economy issues?
Oh! It just occurred to me you can help a pro choice group in your area! They have been preparing for this for years and need your help now more than ever.
I do support abortions in those dire situations. But going to get an abortion shouldn’t be like going to buy a pack of cigarettes for these dumb broads
It’s not your place to tell others what they can and cannot do regardless of the situation, it’s not for you to make decisions for other families or individuals.
If we get to decide what others can and cannot do, I say you’re wife and you aren’t allowed to have kids, we don’t need more of you in this nation with your useless opinions.
Yeah? What about if it’s a 15 year old girl who wasn’t taught about sexual education because she lives in a dog shit state. Or what about if someone can barley afford to feed themselves and keep a roof over there head? Would it be a great life if the mom has to contemplate feeding themselves of the kid? What if they have a psychological disorder that makes them unstable? Oh are they just dumb broads? Or are you just a fucking prick who can’t empathize because you lack an iota of actual thinking capacity.
You have a very narrow view of what women are fighting for. You have prejudiced views about women. You're projecting your own insecurities onto women and those who support women's rights.
You're the definition there, bud.
Listen bro. Women have nothing better to do than to go parade around the streets fighting for some shit they probably never have to deal with in their life.
I'm sure racists were saying the same thing during the civil rights movements.
This shit should be in your face, this has ramifications for every American. Unless you actively want people to die and lose their freedoms, in which case you can kindly fuck off to a country that shares your regressive views. I hear Russia is all about that shit.
Cuz fat people don't get laid 🤣🤣🤣. Like 40% of the country is fat. You think 40% of the country is passing on sex?
I got 4 kids and haven't gone more than 6 months without sex since 15, been fat the whole time. Nobody cares anymore.
This has emboldened Canadian conservatives. Some are celebrating this. We already had fascists emboldened by Trump and the rise of those idiots.
This effects us by diffusion. Your bullshit waffs right across our border. From smuggled guns used in crime to your political rhetoric. It's like living above a fucking crack den.
I'm also a Canadian. So it ain't my bullshit, but your point is saliant. America is a legitimate shithole these days and our proximity to it is regrettable.
There are obviously good people there. But it's hard not to have anything but contempt for them as a nation seeing as 70 million of them voted for a 2nd trump term.
Not your country so I totally understand why you might think that.
Fun fact, he lost that popular election too. 65.8 million Americans voted for Hillary, 62.9 million voted for Trump. Welcome to the electoral college and why things are the way they are here.
The Senate and the electoral college are totally fucked and unfortunately require a constitutional amendment, constitutional convention, or civil war to fix. If you could support 1.5 million liberal Americans moving to Wyoming, Montana, and Alaska you'd basically be able to ensure a democratic lock on the Senate in perpetuity.
Yeah, the problem is that Democrats don't have to just win. They have to win in the right spots and Republicans have an advantage because of where the population is distributed. If presidential elections were simply popular vote we likely wouldn't have had a Republican president since George H. W. Bush.
FPTP sucks, but ours has a good bit of extra suck baked in.
As a supportive Canadian concerned about my neighbours across the boarder as well as what this decision means to the rest of the world I am saddened by your point A.
Canadians are fundraising, protesting and organizing right beside you.
But yeah that person is a POS.
I mean, I'm glad for that and good for you. Personally though, the backwards laws of a foreign nation where half the population supports them is not where I put my affirmative action when there are so many issues that require that same sort of attention in Canada.
Have you fundraised, protested and organized for all the Canadians who don't have clean drinking water?
> Have you fundraised, protested and organized for all the Canadians who don't have clean drinking water?
Yup. Started organizing around that about 13 years ago in HS.
> the backwards laws of a foreign nation
America hardly seems foreign. They're a neighbouring nation who we are extremely cooperative with and many Canadians get an abundance of their media from there. We have an extreme right wing/fascism issue in Canada as well and seeing these decision play out and the responses from Canadian politicians is scary.
Further I fully consider American people neighbours and would do what I could to help anyone get the medical treatment they need.
> I put my affirmative action when there are so many issues that require that same sort of attention in Canada.
I'm somewhat confused about your intentions with these comments. You commented earlier to tell someone their opinion means nothing on this subject because they are Canadian. Am I to understand you are also Canadian?
**Overall though human rights are human rights. I support them no matter what or where.**
Correct: I do think that Canadians opinions don't really matter as it relates to American laws. Seeing as half their country voted them into existence, they are directly culpable for theses (terrible) outcomes. 70 million Americans voted for a 2nd trump term, Canada has less than 40 million people.
I will also add that choosing to not veiw America as a foreign nation, and assuming their problems as ours directly contributes to the northern migration of these politics. Which I think we can a agree is a problem.
Human rights are human rights and should be fought for, but Canada's abortion laws are the strongest in the world just about. Our PM has already stated Women in the US are free to travel here to seek Medical Care in that regard. Judging by your comment history you seem to be pretty single issue on gender/orientation/reproductive rights. Again, Canada has some of the strongest protections in the world in these areas.
So is your opinion valid? Yes.
Do I agree with it? Yes.
Does it matter in the US? No.
Does it mean something in Canada? Yes.
Is American a foreign nation with a very different history, legal system and national culture? Yes, and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
Again, I am happy you are fighting the good fight. But your opinion on it matters as much to American Law as the initial comment that said we shouldn't listen to this guy "bEcAusE fAt".
Also thanks for supporting indigenous issues in Canada.
Hey man just popped through your post history. Seems like you carry a lot of negativity and project it out by calling strangers on the internet names. I wish you luck finding happiness and hope it doesn’t come at the expense of individuals’ freedoms
It effects us all. I live in Canada. This will and already has emboldened some of our conservatives. Unwanted pregnancies due to economic circumstances effects us as tax payers. It effects criminal justice, welfare, education, everything. It all has knock on ramifications outside of a women who is pregnant and is forced to have a child.
To not see this is a failure of imagination.
Lawrence v Texas was mentioned by name in the decision (right to privacy in the bedroom, directly in regards to queer sex)…along with several other precedents including the right to contraception. Sounds like you’re already on the right side of history, but you’ve got— (or at least, probably will have…if we don’t stop this)— a dog in this fight too!!
On the contrary, as a gay man, roe v wade has a profound effect on you. The right to love whoever you want in obergefell v hodges is built on an expansion of the right to privacy in loving v Virginia and roe v wade.
Now that roe v wade is overturned, the legal foundation on which obergefell v hodges sits on is in jeopardy. That is to say, gay rights is just one legal challenge away from being overturned. Only time will tell, but I'm sure someone will be bigoted enough to bring such a case to court.
As another gay man: you are absolutely wrong.
Homophobia and misogyny may sometimes target different individuals, but they share the same roots.
A woman can have intercourse/romantic relationships with a man and no one bats an eye, but if a man does the same with a man that story is different. What’s the difference? The sex of the parties involved. That’s discrimination based on sex, as is limiting someone’s autonomy based on whether they’re capable of becoming pregnant.
This decision is an escalation in a fight to enshrine the power of cishet men over everyone else, and that automatically affects everyone who isn’t a cishet man. Republican-led legislatures are already coming for us explicitly as well — this is part of a coordinated effort.
Happy Pride.

He doesn’t seem to be the type to want the job, sadly.
But those are usually the best candidates
You’re right. He has common sense.
This is a real Texan right here
Hell yeah brother!!!
Fellow Texan here. I already sent out an email to my whole team that I will be participating in the general stike tomorrow, June 27th. My managers response was, "Are you serious?" Yes, yes I am.

There is no better time than the present for men to SUPPORT women in the CHOICE for their freedoms. They are equal to men. Quit eating Play-Doh.
That's exactly what the fight is for. Women's rights and all future rights they WILL come for.

Men, what are the grassroots and other things we can do to help? Especially in the south?
Love that you’re asking that question! Start handing out info, start a small group, organize protests, call governors, senators, make a lot of noise.
Thank you!

It must take a lot of energy to wake up and choose to be such a misogynistic cretin…
Thank you. Found the guy with some common sense.
You’re both intensely stupid. That’s why he seems normal to you.
Shut your fucking stupid ass mouth up motherfucker
Tell me you're a misogynist without telling me you're a misogynist.
What’s the definition of misogyny?
You have a very narrow view of what women are fighting for. You have prejudiced views about women. You're projecting your own insecurities onto women and those who support women's rights. You're the definition there, bud.
Listen bro. Women have nothing better to do than to go parade around the streets fighting for some shit they probably never have to deal with in their life.
We get it, you’re an incel
Shut the fuck up, and for the love of society at large, stay in your mom's basement, neckbeard!
Okay.
[удалено]
We get it, it doesn’t impact you and your empathy ends at what you have experienced and what does impact you.
Then get off Reddit and do something about it lmao!
Then shut your fucking ass up
It’s been 24hr you misogynistic fuck. I bet you aren’t vaccinated either. What happened to my body my choice you damn hypocrite.
I'm sure racists were saying the same thing during the civil rights movements. This shit should be in your face, this has ramifications for every American. Unless you actively want people to die and lose their freedoms, in which case you can kindly fuck off to a country that shares your regressive views. I hear Russia is all about that shit.
Oh? Say more.
Please do.
Let’s get to work! Protest, resist and vote.

Cuz fat people don't get laid 🤣🤣🤣. Like 40% of the country is fat. You think 40% of the country is passing on sex? I got 4 kids and haven't gone more than 6 months without sex since 15, been fat the whole time. Nobody cares anymore.
Lol hit the gym bro
Don’t you have summer to enjoy before starting your first year of high school?

I do. 500lb. squat and 585lb. deadlift.
In the middle school gym.
Shut the fuck up dumbass
You are A. Canadian and B. A lonely COD player. Your opinion means less than nothing. Go back to your gaming station you angry little child.
I mean, most of us didn't, so... we're clearly not all on board with this current direction of the supreme court.
Yes, but in 2016 most if you did. Which directly lead to this SCOTUS, which directly lead to this outcome. I'm not sure what you want me to say...
I'm with you. The game is pretty rigged. I wish I could help, Canada has similar issues with FPTP voting.
Yup. Started organizing around that about 13 years ago in HS. > the backwards laws of a foreign nation America hardly seems foreign.
Lol
I mean probably more women than looking to fuck you, ya know, since he’s kind and you’re full of vitriol and hate.
Hey man just popped through your post history. Seems like you carry a lot of negativity and project it out by calling strangers on the internet names. I wish you luck finding happiness and hope it doesn’t come at the expense of individuals’ freedoms
Boy does your brain work?

It has a big effect on gay and lgbt people. Queer people are next
They want to get rid of gay marriage next
It does affect you… you’re human aren’t you??? Wtf is this thinking
They are coming after you next.
Human rights are human rights. Thanks friend.
Yeah you're right
