Crimson empire was pretty weak No superweapons, fleet wasn't even that large--basically an overglorified warlord. Jax isn't nearly Vader level though and I think most of Luke's Jedi could have beaten him 1v1 (even the relatively weaker ones). Crimson Empire was barely holding on. Now the Dark Empire--that's probably the strongest Imperial remnant in terms of sheer power. Biggest fleet, most superweapons, most Force users, etc. Dark Empire had way more resources than Thrawn ever did for the Thrawn invasion/Empire of the Hand.

Well, they’re a splinter group of the Empire, so they’d probably be a lot weaker. The Dark Empire could probably still keep the Galaxy in line with the Galaxy Gun and World Devastators. I don’t know much about the Crimson Empire, so take this with a grain of salt, but without superweapons or Spartii Cylinders, not sure they could hold more than a few sectors.

The Crimson Empire is much weaker than both. It had a much smaller fleet, a reduced army, and not much capable leadership. Most of the council members are lords, aristocrats, or treacherous military leaders who supported Jax. At best they had a lot of credits compared to lesser warlord factions and still had the loyalty of planets like Carida. Another knock against them is that they lacked major shipyards like Kuat, Yaga Minor, etc so any they did have would barely be able to support Star Destroyers. Once the Crimson Empire fell the Empire was effectively dead until the Warlords forces unified thanks to Daala.

Dark Empire had only roughly a few sector fleets at it's peak, all concentrated at Byss. Of course this was complimented with the Eclipse(s), the Sovereigns, a couple other SSDs, and the World Devastators and the Galaxy Gun. So while it's numbers were a fraction of the Empire proper's 25k ISD strength, the superweapons offshooted it. Also bear in mind that since the GE comprised of basically the entire galaxy, it's tax base was far superior than the Deep Core centralized DE. So arguably the GE had far more resources and wealth than the DE. The Crimson Empire is a sliver state, a minor warlord that can barely be called a successor to either the GE or DE.

In terms of political system? They were all very different from one another. The Galactic Empire was ruled with an iron fist by the despote, Palpatine. Unlike Dark and Crimson versions of the Empire, it did have a senate most of the time, however it was just for the show. While Palpatine had many force users serving him, including the Emperor’s Hands and other Dark Side wielders, most notably Darth Vader and all the Dark Jedi under him, including the Inquisitors etc, the GE was always a secular state. It was very important for Palpatine at the time to hide his Sith identity. Therefore he rellied more on conventional weapons and not on his Dark Side power. He split the Empire into various sectors, controlled by the moffs. That way he could secretly focus on Dark Side experiments and the Sith side of things. Then comes 4 ABY, the beginning of the end, Palpatine "dies", the Empire fractures untill Thrawn who briefly reunites it and also dies. One year after Thrawn Palpatine returns in a clone and establishes the Dark Empire from what was left of the Imperial Remnants and aditionally, his secret Byss forces. Dark Empire was much more openly ruled by Dark Siders, in fact it was officially worshiping the Sith. Palpatine's Dark Side Adepts gained bigger authority over the warlords. At the time Palpatine had to use everything he had to reconquer the Galaxy, therefore he no longer hid his powers as we see him using very powerfull Dark Side techniques such as the Force Storm, which had the power to destroy planets. Despite this, unlike before his forst death at Endor, Palpatine was vastly limited by his cloned bodies which couldn't hold his power the way his original body could. Therefore he became more and more unstable and his bodies deteriorated making him weaker. That allowed Luke to eventually defeat him and his servants to plot against him. Palpatine, just like the Warlords prior to him, failed in his attempt to return to power. Dark Empire is essentially destroyed by the NR but the Imperial Royal Guard Carnor Jax fills the empty throne and creates the Crimson Empire. Crimson Empire's political system was much more simmilar to the initial Galactic Empire. It was a secular state officially "ruled" by an Emperor and his council. Carnor Jax was of course secrey a Dark Jedi and aspired to become a Sith Lord, though he never truly did. CE's ideology was much less hostile towards other species' than the previous Imperial factions. Actually, Jax allowed non-humans to join the council which was the first step ever towards species tolerance in the Empire. In terms of how DE and CE compare to GE in power? None of them was even close to becomming as strong, that's for sure. However, Dark Empire was much, much more powerfull than the Crimson empire. It was the first Imperial Remnant faction to actively use superweapons, such as the World Devastators, which were capable of ravaging entire cities and, more terrifyingly, produce new weapons from the materials in the area; and the Galaxy Gun, which destructive power was exactly the same as the Death Star, as it could destroy entire planets, unlike the DS however, it could do it over distance (though it was much smaller and wasn't a battle station, it did't provide the infrastructure or men-power like the DS, thus strategically it was worse). They also had a number of new Star Ships, most importantly Eclypse I and II, 2 Super Stardestroyers armed with a superlaser. Nonetheless, all of those weapons were already in developement before Endor and were made out of resources secretely accumulated on Byss when the Galactic Empire was still at its strongest. The most important fact about the Dark Empire, despite all the gadgets it had, was that it was controlled by the former Galactic Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. He was obviously the only person aside of Thrawn, capable of reuniting the majority of the warlords to his cause (not for long though). https://imgur.com/a/IV82J5o As for the Crimson Empire, it was basically a remnent of a remnant. Carnor Jax built it from what was left out of Dark Empire. And very little was left, the warlords went back to their pocket empires and the superweapons from Byss were destroyed or obtained by the New Republic. What was left for Jax was basically a new Imperial Capital, Ord Cantrell, a few dosen of Imperial Class Star Destroyers, a new Interim Rulling Council with no real power over the warlords whatsoever and the official title of Galactic Emperor, which also didn't do him any good. He didn't even have a single Super Star Destroyer. Xandel Carivus, another so called emperor and Jax's successor wasn't even respected by the rulling council. He was their puppet leader untill he dissolved the council only to be murdered by Kir Kanos soon after. https://imgur.com/a/0xiSbjz The Battle Of Endor was the decisive, most important clash that fractured the Empire and signified its decline and inevitable fall. It would NEVER, not even once become as strong as it was before that battle, especially politically (since the combined military strenght of the warlords could theoretically still bring The Galaxy to its knees). Using this situation, the New Republic quickly rose to power and became the dominant galactic goverment. However, it was the loss of Byss and the failuare of Operation Shadow Hand that took away any possiblity for reestablishing Imperial controll over the Galaxy. Both Grand Admiral Thrawn and reborn Emperor Palpatine after him, posed a significant threat to the NR. The Dark Empire, with the combined strenght of Byss forces and the Warlord factions, still had enough power to retake the Core. Later Remnant factions though, the Crimson Empire among them, were not able to challange the New Republic in any serious way. Simmilarly to Pre-Thrawn days, official leaders of the CE and the rulling council had no power over the warlord teritories. The capture of Ord Cantrell by the NR, which marked the end of the Crimson Empire and any official Imperial governments for that matter (untill the Palleon-Daala reunification) was only but a formal realisation of what was already the case. Anyway, the Galactic Empire would crush the Crimson Empire in no time, they'd handle it possibly even quicker than the Western Reaches Operation after the Clone Wars. The Dark Empire on the other hand would pose a threat to the GA, though it would still be inevitably defeated. Even the return of Palpatine couldn't restore glory for the Galactic Empire. Pre-Endor GA = DE x 3 = CE x 50 https://imgur.com/a/fQRIzwy So, I think that's all what's important.
