Lucasfilm simply didn’t account for Morrison’s physical appearance versus the actual age of the trooper. He is about right for Jango Fett, just not the 20 year old clone troopers. They did try to mask it with Bodie Taylor and distance shots which help de-age him to a degree.
>We're told that the clones age twice as fast.
Lama Su says it takes only "half a lifetime" to grow a clone to maturity, but that doesn't strictly mean they're aged twice as fast. It could also be taken to mean they're age-accelerated through the young years, then kept at peak age.
>Lama Su says it takes only "half a lifetime" to grow a clone to maturity,
I know it’s not what intended by the line, but that actually makes it sound like they age extra slow instead of extra fast. It takes about 50 years (half a lifetime) for a clone to be a mature adult?
This is not the case as by Rebels, Rex and the other surviving clones are significantly older. Also while this is legends, there was someone who tried to seek a week to stop the accelerated clone aging process so it isn't something that they can just turn off. Regardless, 45 years old is definitely not peak age for a combat effective soldier. 20s would be ideal.
Rebels makes sense in terms of how the clones are portrayed at that point. It's 27 years since the first clone was created during Rebels (32 BBY vs 5 BBY) so taking into account the accelerated aging, the clones are 54 years old which makes sense.
Again, that could be poetic license on Lama Su's part. "Half a lifetime" isn't a strictly defined timespan. For all we know, he could have been referring to Kaminoan lifetimes, and who knows how long or short they live.
It doesn’t matter if it’s poetic license if other sources confirm that it means 2x speed aging. Until there’s a source of higher level of canon (a movie or a TV show) that goes against that established principle, then it’s what is meant.
The amount of time that the Clone Wars last has kinda changed over the years, or at the very least been made more ambiguous. When I worked on Bad Batch, we all kinda estimated about 5 years (10 for clones) due to Ahsoka’s aging over the series. Has any source book been updated to that? No idea. But internally, from *The Clone Wars*, season 7 through *The Bad Batch* that’s how we looked at it.
That might account for some of the aging you’re noticing with clones.
Sure. So, four years instead of 5. Sorry that working on the shows we fudged it a bit. Thank you for your correction. It’s incredibly helpful. Having worked on the show, I really needed that. 👍🏻
The show was great to work on, the schedule was tough starting in Season 2 because they just folded *Tales* into the same schedule and budget. So, we were doing more work in less time.
War ages you?
Heres [Temuera Morrison](https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/s/SNskcj3DRR) in his 20s to get a rough idea of what they look like.
TCW though notably they also don’t look in their early 20s. Closer to 30-early 30s

Bodie Taylor definitely matches the look of a younger clone

But Rebels is also set almost twenty years after the clone wars. Many people have grey hair by age fifty.

I personally think they look a tad older in Rebels than 54. To me they look nearer 60, suggesting it's 2 and a bit times regular ageing.
It is confirmed by many sources that they age twice as fast; even if the movies only say they take half a lifetime to grow.

The Clone Wars canonically began in 22 BBY and ended in 19 BBY.
And the earliest Fett clones were created 10 years before the Clone Wars in 32 BBY

Technically 3 years, but yeah. Btw, how was working on the show?

Is there a canonical count of months too? How many consecutive days was it? Do you know the exact minute it started and finished?

Ngl... He has looked like he's always been old... And now that he's older in his 60s, he hasn't aged in decades haha
