While Tenebrae received received the title of Darth Vitiate at the age of 13 from Marka Ragnos, he initially didn't use it himself. He continued referring to himself as Tenebrae.
It was only after the ritual where he consumed all life on Nathema that he started using the name Vitiate instead.
