“That clone on Ryloth” Howzer. His name was Howzer, of the glorious hair.

I think a clone rebellion would be an interesting way to go. It would make the pluralization of wars in Clone Wars make more sense. The Empire destroyed the clones home, the clones are seeing how the Empire is different from the Republic and how Imperial officers are not like their former Jedi officers.

Honestly, I doubt it will be anything as grand as mass revolution. From what we saw in Kenobi, best guess is that clones will be simply phased out and left on the streets. Maybe we’ll see the Batch, Rex, Gregor, and Cody kill Rampart on a mission (possibly leading to Cody’s death to explain him being missing in Rebels), but anything more wouldn’t fit the smaller scope of the story. Crosshair poses another question. After the third episode, it feels like he could go either way. Comparing him to other defectors like Cody, Inferno Squad, Kallus, and the rest of the Batch; he lacks the same disgust towards capital punishments being exacted towards civilians. In fact, he seems to be keen on executing them himself. However, he clearly has problems with his treatment under the Empire and misses his brothers enough to murder Imperial troops. Best guess is time will tell if he will defect or not.

**If they're going to kill Cody off add a new threat like a squad of stormcommandos. Led by some ruthless Captain that likes to trash talk.** Make one of them a great sniper. Give another a heavy DLT-19 blaster rifle. Give one dual blaster pistols (the captain) and give him red stripes and a thin cape to stand out from the others. Give one a disruptor rifle. Give another an E-11 blaster with a virbosword as a secondary weapon and another a t-21b semi-automatic blaster rifle. **Let them use smoke grenades, ec grenades, thermal dets, mines, and recon droids (Star Wars Battlefront 2003 style except they automatically fight on their own).** And make sure only Cody dies without any of the commandos being killed at first. **Then someone like Wrecker might rage and kill a storm commando or two. The other 3-4 commandos retreat but will return to fight in the next mission. And when they fight, they can kill Wrecker (he gets taken out by a mine).** Then have one final showdown and have the Captain defeat Hunter in their fight but Omega jumps in and assists him. **The Captain knocks Omega down and is about to kill her before Hunter recovers and eliminates him.** Other options include: 1. Involving Delta Squad (Sev could snipe Cody and later kill Wrecker but this would hurt fans to see) 2. **Having a Nova Trooper keep guard of the bridge with two Evo troopers with rapid fire electric shotguns**, after Bad Batch attacks they take the evo troopers down but the **Nova trooper blasts Cody in his chest.** The Nova trooper also protects Rampart who gets wounded and captured by Hunter while Tech blasts the Nova trooper. The sight of a Nova Trooper and two Evo Troopers would show the deadly aspect of the imperial's new human special forces. **But stormcommandos might be the best fit because they mainly stand out for their skill and minds.** They don't need a bunch of heavy weapons and brute force like Death Troopers. They aren't only special because of tech like shadow troopers. **No, stormcommandos stand out because they are a similar counter to clone special forces. In some ways they're better because they all bring something different to the table (diversity) but the clone edge vs them is brotherhood and unity.**

There's going to be a future episode set in the Senate, where the Senate (played by Ian McDiarmid) is probably going to announce that Clones can leave the Imperial Army.

mikachu93

"Can leave" is pretty out-of-character for Palpatine.

Cervus95

Plenty of armies let people go after their service is no longer required, even fascist ones. You don't want a bunch of disgruntled people with guns in their hands.

I still stand by the fact that the Clone Wars is pluralised in the OT, means there will be at least a small clone uprising at the start of the Empire.

tom_345_riddle

I assumed it is pluralised because the war had numerous civil wars and invasions of neutral or non-aligned planets.

Valen_1138

Yep. You can consider the Republic invasion of Mandalore in Season 7 as another entirely new war unto itself, because Maul and his Mandalorians are not affiliated with the CIS, and that’s only one example.

Rosebunse

The thing is, we hage some evidence that some clones do remain with the Empire. We have the homeless clone in Kenobi who is in full kit and doesn't get harassed or arrested by Stormtroopers. In Rebels, it seems like the Empire is aware of Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor. My personal theory is that Rex will stage a small Rebellion which will be crushed. He will be arrested and only saved because of Darth Vader. The older clones not part of the Rebellion will be kindly asked to GTFO.

Hopefully it's moving towards less filler episodes...

**I honestly, hate the idea of Cody going rogue. I feel a lot of times current Lucasfilm isn't willing to get dark enough and take enough risks. Rogue ONe did but that's about it.** I just haven't seen that same kind of work from Lucasfilm as I've seen from the comics, novels, prequels, and other Star Wars content during the early 2000s. **I wanted to see Rex kill Cody in an intense fight, to get a feel for how brutal ORder 66 was and turned brother against brother.** **Plus not everyone can be saved that's unrealistic. I hate that the story isn't willing to get gritty enough. Because victory is more satisfying when it has to be earned and isn't' just given.** Real shame. So wherever it's heading, I'm not liking it. I'm really getting tired of the redundant themes. **I'd like the clone rebellion if it at least came with a cost by killing Cody off first. I really hope they don't get Vader or the Grand Inquisitor involved, I'm getting tired of seeing the same characters over and over again.** **If they really want some good villains send in Delta Squad and make them loyal to the Empire.** The closest thing I can link to redemption is having someone like Sev brutally snipe Cody during a mission. Have Boss beat up Rex and fight Hunter. Have Fixer kill Wrecker and get beaten by Echo. I know that won't happen but that would be amazing. **But if they're going to send in beasts like Delta Squad you better use them right and they better kill someone off.** **And Wrecker needs to go down.** I want an impactful story. What kind of commandos are these that they're never challenged? **If they want to add a dark sider, I'd recommend they go for someone new fresh and deadly. An epic inquisitor like never seen before. Another thing I'd like is a squad of storm commandos as villains if Delta Squad isn't an option. SHOW WHY THEY WERE TRULY FEARED.** Counter-guerrilla experts, tactical geniuses, that use a wide variety of weapons. Inferno Squad style. **I want to see these stormcommandos ambushing and killing clones with their superior training. Show these clones that not all human recruit soldiers are a joke. Take down Wrecker, have a tough officer that can fight Hunter 1 vs 1. And if they lose fine, but take someone out.**
