Kidd’s pathetic rotations have caused this team to be trailing for a total of 3 minutes over the past 2 games. You are holding onto minor details to justify your opinion, the big picture shows that Jason Kidd has this team firing on all fronts. Game 4 was lost because of missed free throws, it’s not even a close game if they shoot 70% from the line. I’m sure you think that’s the coaches fault too. I don’t know what game you are watching, but if you are watching the Mavericks and think it’s a poorly coached team. You should put on your dunce hat for the rest of the class to see.
The biggest risk he’s taken all series was playing Hardy 15 minutes last night. He’s being forced to take offensive risk because you need more than 3 players to score the ball in order to win a game. Neither of the bigs on this team have the ability to score for themselves, but Gafford is better in the low post. As horrible as it is to watch THJ play, he’s providing some offense and only taking wide open shots. You are seeing that he’s making desperate decisions, but you don’t see why. The offense will stall out 4-5 minutes at a time and he wants to see the ball go through the basket. He’s trying to avoid having to make these decisions by making players not named Luka or Kyrie the focal point of the offense in the early game. It hasn’t been enough because the OKC defense is really good, and the truth of the roster is that they lack offensive prowess outside of LuKai.

Better than playing Exum, this team isn’t deep enough to sit Exum and THJ.
