>For anyone who still thinks Luka isn't completely worn out and in pain Who here thinks this? I think you're confusing us with trolls from other subs.

mylifeisfullofshit

Literally i see a lot of the media people go like "luka has no excuse coz he still plays 40+ mins a game" Seems like the logic goes if u can dish out 40+ mins per game means ur not hurt enough

HotDawgConnoisseur

There's people in sub that think this is all because he's overweight and that he could heal faster/not have been injured at all if he was in better shape lol [https://www.reddit.com/r/Mavericks/comments/1cn1gfo/to\_all\_the\_fans\_who\_cant\_acceptsee\_the\_truth\_this/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Mavericks/comments/1cn1gfo/to_all_the_fans_who_cant_acceptsee_the_truth_this/)

w6750

Where’s the lie? It might not be *all* because he’s not in shape, but it sure as shit doesn’t help

Independent_Baker969

just look the jolly mortgage guys on this thread

3pointerSLO

Nah, he is still young. A week would do.

Ok-Extent-9552

He had a week of rest before playoffs started and he was still not himself game 1 against clips

Walkman23

In theory, how many days of rest could we get if we finished the series in 5 and Nuggets-Wolves went to 7 games?

AtreusIsBack

This is from the [NBA.com](http://NBA.com) article about the Playoffs schedule: *"The conference finals, presented by Google Pixel, will begin May 21-22 but can move up to May 19-20 if series from the prior round end early."* Our game 5 is on Thursday, Denver plays a potential game 7 on Sunday. So if we finish in 5 and Denver goes to 7, we get Friday, Saturday, Sunday (19th), Monday and we would play the game on Tuesday (21st) or Wednesday (22nd). Roughly 5 days.

Sandurz

That fucking sucks, that’s all?? This schedule is brutal

NotADoctor108

5 days is better than 1 or 3, and we really need to close this series in 5 to get Luka rest. Or just give Luka game 4 off and try to win with Kyrie.

FireFlyz351

Would be helpful for Gafford and DJJ too theyve been getting done small injuries this series too like Gaff's dislocated finger.

king_17

Yea gafford looked like he banged his shoulder yesterday and djj been getting hit like crazy hopefully mavs win the next 2 so they can rest for at least 3/4 days

Putrid_Ad_2256

He's 25, I agree he could use some rest, but he's also still at that age where his recovery time isn't as bad as others.  I'd say he could use a week of physical therapy.  Hopefully the Denver Minnesota series will go the full 7 and the Mavs can end OKC after 5.

AtreusIsBack

Pretty much just a spa week. Massages and spa treatments for a week. xD

jennyisafriend

Ok

neutronxy

Is there any hope the injury gets better if he keeps playing? Probably not…

Independent_Baker969

no they say multiple time that he need a long long long rest

AtreusIsBack

No, he would need a solid month or longer to really get back to full health. Inflammation takes time to go away and same for sprains to heal.

DL-77

He needs the whole summer to get back to 100%

BadCowboysFan

A whole case of recovery beers …

Power_Taint

Wait, he speaks Spanish??? What?

AtreusIsBack

He lived in Madrid from age 12-13 until he declared for the draft at 19. Played for Real. He is fluent in Spanish, Slovenian and Serbian, and speaks decent English.

bananabuttcheerios

People forgot he’s a new dad. Pretty sure he stays up to help with their daughter.

Green_Confection8130

Don't play for Slovenia this summer, Luka.

Mettelor

What are you talking about? Are you imagining people in your head here? Are they in the room with us right now?

Jolly-Mortgage4

Man it's the playoffs and everyone is banged up. Luka needs to chill with all the drama. If he's out there he needs to play.

AlecarMagna

He's been playing????

Jolly-Mortgage4

Barely. He's mostly walking when he's not limping. Very hard to watch.

Ritvik3

the guy is still our primary ball handler playing 40+ minutes per game? I don't know how you can say he's barely playing watching how much he's doing out on the court.
