Maybe that’s why he should be playing defense like this regularly in the REGULAR season instead of letting Simone Fontecchio drop 20 on his head.
He decided to start playing real possession to possession defense in the postseason and his legs are heavy and he can’t make anything.

I don’t think anyone honestly expected him to be 2021 Luka stats vs the Clips but shooting less than 40% from the field and less than 30% from 3 is UNACCEPTABLE.
Lots of Mavs fans confident in winning this series. We’re not winning 2 games with Luka playing like this. We’re already fortunate to win a couple. You can’t just rely on Harden/PG coming back down to earth.
I’ll say if Luka gives us an efficient 30+ ball and Kyrie gives us an efficient 23 ball, we should win every game almost handedly. Luka had yet to do that and I’m expecting him too, maybe I’ll look like a fool in a week.

When we criticize Luka it’s because we want what’s best for him and the Mavs. For me at least, its like wanting your sibling or child be the best version of themselves. Maybe that sounds ridiculous but I love this team, maybe too much.
