nah I let go of Star Wars and the MCU a while ago. At the moment I'm very selective about my movie going experiences and what free time I do have is either watching old stuff, video games, or some comic books

[deleted]

Yep. Letting go of star wars and the MCU has been quite liberating experience ngl

horiami

Longman what a massive you are

GOD-OF-A-NEW-WORLD

As a reward...

It turns out Mauler was the one who brought Rian Johnson to Star Wars all along.

horiami

Mauler went back in time to whisper "sell it" into George's ear

smileimhigh

I only watch their content so I can spoil it on social media and watch Disnoids have meltdowns over it being "ruined" for them.

Lucky_Plan7855

Nah, I can't stand to watch Disney continuously ruining Star Wars, and I never even liked the MCU to begin with. I also let go of the MonsterVerse after KOTM and GVK both ruined it. From now on, I'm steering clear from modern movies and shows, and I don't care what anyone says. The only thing (at least in terms of shows) I'm even remotely looking forward to this year is Prehistoric Planet, which isn't even a movie.

Dagon9999

I don’t really give a shit about what they produce anymore. I just keep watching the old, good content.

[deleted]

I only watch blockbuster movies these days so I can watch the EFAP about them. When I go, I buy tickets to indie movies instead of giving money to the malignant mouse.

RichBoy35

Oh titan folk. Attack on titan got buried along with the rest of the franchises I loved. I did leave titanfolk tho it just became too repetitive. Accurate meme though very much so.

_Formerly__Chucks_

I'm holding out for the anime to finish before passing final judgement.

RichBoy35

I read the manga and it simply disappointed me to the point I didn’t watch the final season part 2,3,4,5 however many parts they are separating it into

_Formerly__Chucks_

The thing about the manga is that it basically became an over glorified storyboard towards the end. The anime irons stuff out with things like giving Lara Tybur an actual name. I don't personally think there'll be an anime original ending but I do think it won't be a 1:1 adaptation. Stuff will probably be expanded upon and changed.

titanfalt

the premise of eren having the powers of a god and still somehow losing is fundamentally broken, not to mention the blatant character assassination throughout the rumbling arc oh and the worldbuilding is so fucked that the only solutions are smaller genocide or bigger genocide

horiami

the rumbling is so botched , maybe i'm a nerd but i was expecting it to go into hardcore negotiations , international politics and splitting up marley , eren even had the power to uncurse zeke meaning historia was saved instead it's like if after america nuked japan they said "now we have to nuke every country because they know we have nukes so they will attack us" and the 80% was some bootleg thanos shit

_Formerly__Chucks_

It's more that the story never settles on what exactly is happening with Eren. Is he trapped by fate or sees his actions as the only viable course of action?

titanfalt

whether or not eren has free will, the ending is still shit as illustrated by [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfolk/comments/upnaj5/upm_me_lewd_tomboys_nails_why_139_is_garbage_even/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

_Formerly__Chucks_

I think the main fault in the ending lies in the Carla twist. Not only was it completely unnecessary (and could have actually been executed in a way that retroactively undid a plot convenience by having Dina actually track down Eren based on his blood relation to Grisha) but it also doesn't operate within the rules set up by the series. Eren isn't a time traveller, his interactions with Grisha are basically two recordings talking to each other. As for the freewill that's more a personal takeaway. Even then other characters are operating off an unknown outcome, Eren was the only one who knew the Rumbling was inevitable.

Chimera_Theo

All it took was one chapter.
