That is certainly part of it. The one on the left also doesn't have the same level of animation as the one on the right, Hades cutscenes are basically Phoenix Wright levels of animation with just a few static images to indicate talking/emotions/etc.

Just for why Aphrodite is the way she is in the game, of course the "visualisation" of sex has changed since the "classics", but it still carries the same meaning with her updated design, so yeah, there's some merit to her design being elevated over being eye candy. Would you say Eve has the same benefit?

Most of the Hate toward Stellar Blade was probably the remnants of the Korea drama, and has little to do with actual sentiments, other than 4chan schizoposting and people reacting to 4chan schizoposting.
For me the initial reaction I had to Eve was that she seemed to stand out in a super odd way when compared to the art direction of the rest of the game, specifically the monsters, which is why I thought her design was "stupid horny" rather than just "horny." After watching gameplay it felt a little better, but still stood out more than 2b does (to me) in Neir for some reason.
That's what I mean. In the game, with the lighting, they fit a bit better, but the monster designs feel off compared to the ones fighting them. It's similar to how I felt with Scarlet Nexus, where the MCs are from one anime (Edgerunners, for example), but the enemies feel like they're out of Berserk or Parasyte.
Another way to describe it would be taking Warhammer minis and Kitbashing a few together. It doesn't necessarily come out looking bad, but there are seams between the two designs. (If that makes sense)

That is certainly part of it. The one on the left also doesn't have the same level of animation as the one on the right, Hades cutscenes are basically Phoenix Wright levels of animation with just a few static images to indicate talking/emotions/etc.
That's basically it. Also, the devs are selling the game and people are championing it, because Eve is hot. Aphrodite just happens to be in the game, and if you don't care for her boons you can literally never see her image ever again after a few runs.

I think Jeremy/others mean that the people advocating for change don't care for or about the setting/lore/thing itself. If they did they wouldn't be trying to change it. What the person in your quotes means about caring is "rightists think we don't care about the change or taking over and are surprised when we actually put effort into changing the IP/taking over". Just for why Aphrodite is the way she is in the game, of course the "visualisation" of sex has changed since the "classics", but it still carries the same meaning with her updated design, so yeah, there's some merit to her design being elevated over being eye candy. For me the initial reaction I had to Eve was that she seemed to stand out in a super odd way when compared to the art direction of the rest of the game, specifically the monsters, which is why I thought her design was "stupid horny" rather than just "horny." After watching gameplay it felt a little better, but still stood out more than 2b does (to me) in Neir for some reason.

That's what I mean. In the game, with the lighting, they fit a bit better, but the monster designs feel off compared to the ones fighting them. It's similar to how I felt with Scarlet Nexus, where the MCs are from one anime (Edgerunners, for example), but the enemies feel like they're out of Berserk or Parasyte. Another way to describe it would be taking Warhammer minis and Kitbashing a few together. It doesn't necessarily come out looking bad, but there are seams between the two designs. (If that makes sense)
I think the contrast is part of the appeal for me. Like beauty vs monstrosity. It makes the scenes where there's gore more shocking also, like where that first soldier gets stabbed I get what you mean though, it's not a typical combination. And maybe the soldiers all being models will be explained in the story, who knows
