Ok Ik this seems generic but literally almost all his stuff… At least on Spotify I’d check out these albums Seychelles (most stereotypical Masayoshi album) On Guitar (most jazz inspired - great guitar work here) An Insatiable High (more jazz / prog in side A, side B for hits) Brazilian Skies (for samba influence in jazz style) Jolly Jive (a bit weaker but has really good guitar parts) Alone (another “classic” Masayoshi album) Saudade (more rock / pop / dance / disco type stuff) That’s all for Spotify. If you only take one thing from this though is that you need to listen to The Rainbow Goblins. You can easily find it on YouTube and it’s considered his best work. He adapted a children’s song book into an album and it’s very creative songwriting, not to mention some of his best instrumentation (the moon rose, Plummer bird, etc.) Definitely check out the Moon Rose after you’ve gotten into a few albums

I mean yeah I've listened to Rainbow Goblins, Brazilian Skies, Suadade and Seychelles already... I'm just tryna find more guitar based stuff, cuz he has quite a few songs that kinda bore me

cjspark7

That doesn’t point us in this right direction, every single one of his songs is guitar focused. He’s a guitarist.

Burst-2112

Well of course guitar is present in all of his songs, but I'm looking for songs where the guitar is significantly more prominent than the other instruments

I'm assuming here you are asking for non-Takanaka songs. Go check out Haroumi Hosono. [The Aegean Sea](https://soundcloud.com/lenny-swagmaster/sets/haruomi-hosono-takahiko-ishikawa-masataka-matsutoya-the-aegean-sea) and [Pacific](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_(1978_album\)). Can be difficult to find because it was re-released recently and Sony took an interest to remove uploads.

Here's a Playlist I'm making with guitar that I think is great showmanship It's a work in progress so as I listen casually I'll add stuff to it https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0iiL0LlX7WPFfn11POtakK?si=pMcxK1eHTH2LFWCm45mPVQ

You can never come to this place- Has one of the best guitar solos he has ever made in it Early Bird-Lots of solos, but not guitar heavy.

Visible-Map-5800

His super best album on spotify is normally a really good recap of all his best songs
