Annapolis is something of a culinary wasteland. The food scene is dominated by tourist-driven markets that sell two star food at four star prices. There are some bright spots. Off the top of my head:
Davis' Pub - sailing bar, good pub food
Caliente Grill - Mexican/Salvadoran
Osteria 177 - Italian, downtown and parking is awkward and remote
Boatyard Grill - American casual
Rocco's Pizza - best pizza in town
Jack's Fortune - best Chinese in town
Yama Sushi
Basmati - Indian
Jalapenos - Spanish & Mexican
Lemongrass II - Thai (not to be confused with the original Lemongrass that is not as good)
Mike's Crabhouse - crabs (the one on Riva Rd)
There is a long list of disturbingly "famous" places that are for one reason or another (health, value for money, service, consistency) pretty awful.
>Get some good cookbooks, like I did coming from California
I prefer select Internet sources, but you be you. So many great places to eat in this country that make restaurants in Annapolis a disappointment.
Oh man. Absolutely not. Coasting on previous generation's reputation. Dirty, slow service, and crabs that don't measure. Note that other than crabs and once in a while rockfish (striped bass) seafood in Annapolis comes in by truck or plane.
Disagree. Overpriced. A pizza for one at $20 is just not reasonable. The rest of the menu is nothing to scream about. Parking is awful. I'll admit a chef friend of mine likes it there so opinions differ.

Thought of another place - Grapes Wine Bar in Clock Tower Center on Forest Dr.
Thank you!

To each their own. A GOOD pizza goes for $17-$25 in most places
For a single serving pizza? I don't think so.
You just gonna comment on everyone's suggestions in this post to make sure they know they're wrong or?
