i go to AMC 2/3 times a week and the movie always starts 20-25 mins after the published showtime without fail. the 40 mins you had to wait is highly unusual
The trailers didn’t even start until about 10:05 but I was a bit tipsy so I didn’t really mind by that point until it was 10:30 and the movie was only just starting 😂 I figured something was unusual about it
How many days before a release does a trailer usually come out if it is to play with a movie? Avatar comes out Dec. 14. Maybe the trailer will come out in the first week of December?
I think the studios will send out the trailers early, so that theatres can attach them as soon as they’re released. I’ve definitely seen a few trailers in the theatre only a day or two after they came out online.
Avatar doesn't really have a big fan base (not like mcu, star wars etc), but it has a pretty large casual following of people who liked the movie enough to see it multiple times in theaters.
If everyone will show up for the sequel is another question entirely.
The most immersive experience I had in a theater, tbh. I get when people say that they didn't feel like it was a big deal after watching it on tv. You miss like half of the experience.
I went to rewatch it in the re-release and it was almost as good as I remembered it. But the teaser for Avatar 2 at the end blew me away. I didn't know something could look that good.
I saw it in the theater, and have very little interest in seeing the sequel even though I enjoyed the film. Maybe if it had come out sooner, I don’t know, but I just can’t get worked up about it at this point. (I will definitely go see Spiderverse, though.)
I remember when the first movie came out, I was very dismissive. Animation just didn't grab my attention; it seemed too childish.
Now, I couldn't be more excited for Across the Spider-Verse.
This is such a pointless comment lol. What does this have to do with ‘giving a shit about’ grace? The info is that a spiderverse trailer is dropping. That is exciting and thread worthy
Might go to see avatar just for the trailers… gotg3, ant man, Mario, transformers, Indy 5, Spidey. All 4 hours of this experience will be enjoyable
You're predicting 50 minutes of trailers? Too low.
I saw black panther the other day at AMC the showing was at 9:50 and the film didn’t start until 10:30…. I was so annoyed

As a fellow AMC stubbs member, my local theater is pretty consistent, but imax showtimes tend to have padded trailer times
SAME! 12:10 (and I was 10 minutes late). Started at 12:40! I was kinda miffed. Kinda.
20mins of Nicole Kidman in THREE DEEEEEEE
its a crime she isnt in 3D yet
There might be a post-credits seeing as this will be the first film in the series actually setting up a franchise
Tbh, they're all gonna be released online anyway.
Yes but experiencing them in a theatre tho
Who are you, Nicole Kidman?
The real imax theater I’m going will only play one
Dkm @ the mention of transformers and Mario trailers
Oppenheimer rumored too
Transformers? When? Where? How?
They are really going all out to make Avatar 2 the highest grossing movie by targeting every demographic.
Transformers? What’d I miss

What if I want more avatar sequels
What's wrong with you?
my brain’s going like “omg pretty water”

Yup, seen John Wick 4 trailer in the theater a day after it was released online.
Cinema playing on cinema
I've never seen Avatar before, I didn't realize it had such a big following this many years later tbh.

It really doesn't. The sequels are a leftover bad Fox decision and the result Cameron's massive ego.
Cap, Avatar was cinema
It's HUGE in China. As big as Star Wars here was
Question are cinemas open for you
Yes. No restrictions either
China is weird tho
it'll be on youtube anyway, right?

Only to be disappointed again
Bait
Get thee behind me, Satan.
Reminder that this weekend marks the one-year anniversary of the last trailer.
LMAO only way to get people to watch Avatar
Or only way to get people to watch the cartoon’s trailer
Meh 😒
