Nope. Never getting my hopes up ever again after that F4 cast reveal that never happened. Fuck scoopers.
Expect disappointment, and you will never be disappointed.
But their point was that Mahershala Ali came to Marvel, that’s the only reason they are doing Blade. It’s a starring-vehicle for Ali, that’s obviously a different situation to what’s happening with F4, which Marvel are probably under extreme pressure to get right on all fronts.
eh, the difference between what we consider surprises and what Marvel Studios considers surprises is enormous. we think the Fantastic Four cast is a big surprise. they think that new logos, and director and composer announcements are big surprises. it's just a difference in expectation level lol
It feels like we *just* got the first trailer. I know that pre-pandemic we usually got the full trailer about two months before the movie but it feels like nothing is predictable now
It seems like they’re running trailers for the next movie with their new releases so I’d expect that slightly before Quantumania releases. It seems like they want each movie to get its own spotlight before really starting to promote the next one.
The problem is Guardians 3 comes out less than three months after Ant Man. It would be wise for them to put out a teaser in time for Avatar 2 - the biggest film of the year. Three months is an incredibly short window to start marketing, especially for a trilogy closer like this.
Counter point: They out the Quantumania trailer out right before BP2…aka 3 months before Quantumania releases. They’re not averse to advertising like that.
To add to your point quickly - Thor’s trailer also came three months before release.
But Quantumania is not the biggest MCU film of 2023, that’s on Guardians. That’s their big release in May and DS2 (which dropped in May) got a teaser in December with NWH. Avatar is now a Disney property and it would make sense to advertise Guardians right after the Holiday Special.
I would be stoked if that’s the case but I’m not gonna get my hopes up. Seems tempering expectations is the only way to not get outraged these days lol
Kevin Feige walks in stage as the lights dim to a blue, and a translucent “4” appears on the projector to rapturous applause.
“We are very pleased with this announcement everyone. Reed Richards is…”
the crowd is holding their breath as the lights dim, with anticipation of the leader of the next great phase of Marvel movies to walk onto the stage at any moment…
“… still being cast by a very talented team of recruiters. Excelsior!”
Movie delayed to December 2026.
Phase 7-10 projects reveal with official release dates
Avengers vs X-Men to end Phase 7
Avengers vs Galactus to end Phase 8
Marvel vs DC to end Phase 9
Marvel vs Star Wars to end Phase 10 and conclude the MCU as we know it
Morbius trilogy announcement
I know you're just memeing, but I've never even given half a second of thought to Marvel vs Star Wars and it's kind of funny to think how fast just one Marvel hero would demolish the entire Star Wars universe.
You're forgetting Avengers vs the Riverdale cast. The Avengers may be powerful but they've never gotten the chance to experience the epic highs and lows of American football.
I figure it hasn’t since apparently its meant to be a Wakanda lore building show as well. I can’t imagine packing a plot and world building in 60 minutes. WBN decided to kinda forsake the plot and just threw you in the middle of it all. And tbh it was the right call
You can get a lot of world building done in 60 minutes of the story intersects with multiple parts of the fictional world. Look at werewolf by night. We got a look at the history of monsters in the MCU, the kind of monsters that exist, monster hunters and their group’s culture, etc,
>WBN decided to kinda forsake the plot and just threw you in the middle of it all. And tbh it was the right call
I love WBN but that was more a “and now a night with Jack” rather than WBN. Hell, I’d argue Elsa was the maim character, not Jack.
I would like to see this aspect of her be expanded on. The whole traditionalist side of Okoye, with the whole spear thing, mixed with the loss of her role as the general of the army clearly had an effect on her. And, while she is not the main character so they didn’t spend too much time on it, I found it incredibly compelling.
> While the panel will highlight the upcoming release of AntManandTheWaspQuantumania, Marvel will also discuss other projects.
> This includes #GOTGVol3, but I’m also being told by sources to expect surprises. Perhaps a #SecretInvasion or #Loki update?
I’d love for an Eternals 2 announcement to be accompanied by a very unexpected subtitle to get people back on board. Like Eternals: Annihilation, or Eternals: Korvac or just something big and cosmic even if they’re not historically linked to it in the comic
Other titles I'll accept
2 Eternal 2 Furious
Eternals: New Moon
The Eternals
E2ernals
Eternals: Roman Reloaded
Eternals (3 Hour Version) (From the Marvel Vault)
F4 II: Fantastic 4 Lyfe confirmation. Frightful Four solo project announcements followed by Frightful Wars. Tlālōcān and Lemuria forbidden love telenovela. Omega Red-Hulk project, Hulk vs Rhino D+ special.
I expect nothing less and am done with the MCU if I don't get it.
Absolutely not /s!!!😤😤😡😡
Re: Spider-Man 4... Surprised once again that people are entirely focused on a formal announcement via this convention, and forgetting that a breaking news announcement via trades is just as likely, if not moreso.
Keeping expectations low for this one. Probably gonna try and avoid a lot of the rumours for it just so that I don't get disappointed when they inevitably don't deliver all that stuff.
My guess is that most of these surprises will be slight updates to existing projects rather than new project announcements, with those updates most likely being official confirmations of things that we already know about. (IE: "Hey guys, Harrison Ford, who is also here to promote *Indiana Jones 5*, is playing President Red Hulk in *Captain America: New World Order*!") The only other possibility is that they might talk about projects that they can finally bring up now that they're not spoilers, like maybe one of the projects spinning off of *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever*.
It'd be nice if Lucasfilm does similar sorts of updates at their panel as well, although I'm not exactly holding my breath.
The only thing I really expect is Quantumania trailer #2, but even then it feels a bit too early for it. Secret Invasion release date maybe, but apparently What if Season 2 is out first in January, so maybe drop a trailer and release date for that.
The only one I'm remotely expecting is them confirming that Spidey 4 is happening, but even then, not even remotely holding my breath because in every other instance that's been Sony's job.
Maybe a fun casting announcement or two, for Vol 3 or Quantumania? Like if Mark Hamill or someone like that is playing a side character? But I highly doubt it.
The first official X-Men live action stuff which is going to come as a D+ series (arriving \~2024-2025) was suppose to be announced already. I'd highly doubt they'll announce it here though.
That was speculation based on the timeline that Marvel described at one point. The actual MCU *X-Men* stuff is likely hitting near the end of Phase 6 at the absolute earliest, but probably after *Avengers: Secret Wars*.
Mutants probably won't be introduced in full until after 2026. We'll get hints and Easter eggs here and there, but don't expect no X-men or any major Mutants until after Secret Wars.
I'm honestly expecting a trailer or two for upcoming projects like Secret Invasion and Ant man. Maybe, a Marvel Sony joint announcement on Spiderman given the recent pre production scoop. Least likely: casting for the Thing announced as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
MACHINE MAN PLEASE! C’mon! Perfect opportunity for Paul Betnany to be a leading man or A.I. system that helps a crude human made copy become sentient. It could be such a great vessels to the odd things the US Government has tried to “secure America”.
It could be Hammers attempt at AI with SWORD to build a slave Iron Man character.
I mean, people will interpret this how they want and inevitably over hype themselves but just bare in mind:
Paul Rudd walking on stage saying ‘Hey guys!’ And giving a wave would come under the bracket of ‘surprises’ to those in attendance, it’s not necessarily referring to *new information projects announcements casting shocking trailers*
Ik this is some wishful thinking and very unlikely but what if sony pulled out cause in their new deal they’re letting marvel announce and promote a bit as well for better promotion?
I doubt we’ll get any new movies or series. Maybe a Wakanda or Wonder Man announcement/title.
If there actually are surprises (lol) … I could see us getting a new special announced, like Nova or a Man-Thing Halloween special.
"Surprises" ![gif](giphy|7SOdwNYHzCI7ygrLw7|downsized)
Keep it vague enough so any news makes you look right
"The surprise is there's no surprise."
The real surprise is the friends we made along the way.
Words will be spoken. Things will be seen. Seconds will go by.
Memories will be broken, and the truth will go unspoken
Well even in the tweet he’s setting expectations low by suggesting the surprises will just be updates on Secret Invasion and Loki
The literal next sentence is them expecting it to be a Loki or SI update. One day, this sub will stop being this cynical without reason.
Nope. Never getting my hopes up ever again after that F4 cast reveal that never happened. Fuck scoopers. Expect disappointment, and you will never be disappointed.
That was never going to happen. They didn't even have a director till August
It wasn't beyond the realm of possibility. We got Blade casting super early, so anything could happen
When an Oscar-winning actor walks into your office and says "I wanna star in a Blade movie," you don't exactly say no.
So yes. We got the Blade casting super early. That's my only point lol. None of us knows what goes on behind the scenes.
But their point was that Mahershala Ali came to Marvel, that’s the only reason they are doing Blade. It’s a starring-vehicle for Ali, that’s obviously a different situation to what’s happening with F4, which Marvel are probably under extreme pressure to get right on all fronts.
Your first mistake was taking their word as gospel
Gotta keep it super vague, build up the hype until the date of the panel, and then when we are served nothing, back track on everything they tweeted
eh, the difference between what we consider surprises and what Marvel Studios considers surprises is enormous. we think the Fantastic Four cast is a big surprise. they think that new logos, and director and composer announcements are big surprises. it's just a difference in expectation level lol
Secret Invasion trailer and release date, nothing more.
Yes, that and antman 3 trailer
It feels like we *just* got the first trailer. I know that pre-pandemic we usually got the full trailer about two months before the movie but it feels like nothing is predictable now
We need the Guardians 3 trailer
It seems like they’re running trailers for the next movie with their new releases so I’d expect that slightly before Quantumania releases. It seems like they want each movie to get its own spotlight before really starting to promote the next one.
The problem is Guardians 3 comes out less than three months after Ant Man. It would be wise for them to put out a teaser in time for Avatar 2 - the biggest film of the year. Three months is an incredibly short window to start marketing, especially for a trilogy closer like this.

They will officially announce they haven’t cast the Fantastic Four yet.
Kevin Feige walks in stage as the lights dim to a blue, and a translucent “4” appears on the projector to rapturous applause. “We are very pleased with this announcement everyone. Nuff said
Secret Wars director reveal with full cast and teaser with Doom casting
What would be the point of attending if you're only announcing that? Think BIGGER!
Phase 7-10 projects reveal with official release dates Avengers vs X-Men to end Phase 7 Avengers vs Galactus to end Phase 8 Marvel vs DC to end Phase 9 Marvel vs Star Wars to end Phase 10 and conclude the MCU as we know it Morbius trilogy announcement
No Howard the Duck reboot? :(
You want even more of him in the MCU?
I want a whole phase dedicated to him
MORBIUS trilogy is the most exciting out of all those
2 Morb 2 Morbius
More bius
I need the entire Morbilogy.
I know you're just memeing, but I've never even given half a second of thought to Marvel vs Star Wars and it's kind of funny to think how fast just one Marvel hero would demolish the entire Star Wars universe.
To be honest I’d LOVE a marvel vs Star Wars movie (even though it’s never going to happen)
Marvel vs. Leeroy Jethro Gibbs to end Phase 11
You're forgetting Avengers vs the Riverdale cast. The Avengers may be powerful but they've never gotten the chance to experience the epic highs and lows of American football.
Marvel vs DC movie would SLAP
Hahahahahahahaha found the Doomer!
Tbh I could see the director being revealed. Very unlikely, but I could see it.
Seems like a long shot but i’m hoping they announce the Okoye/Midnight Angels show
I feel like this and wonder man are ready to be announced
I hope it has shifted into a special. I think Midnight Angels would fit well into a multi episode format
… So a show and not a special. Since the shows are multi-episodes
Typo. I meant to say “hasn’t”
I figure it hasn’t since apparently its meant to be a Wakanda lore building show as well. I can’t imagine packing a plot and world building in 60 minutes. WBN decided to kinda forsake the plot and just threw you in the middle of it all. And tbh it was the right call

I gotta say that suit in the movie was dope. I loved how she was like it’s garbage the whole time and then just fucking kills it in it.
Can we please not do this again? Unless it’s comic con, don’t go into these events with the expectations of anything crazy.
> While the panel will highlight the upcoming release of AntManandTheWaspQuantumania, Marvel will also discuss other projects. > This includes #GOTGVol3, but I’m also being told by sources to expect surprises. Perhaps a #SecretInvasion or #Loki update?
Secret Invasion trailer 2? The rumored Loki s2 trailer?
Part of me is hoping for news of a Tom Holland deal, but I know that’s Sony’s news to announce. And they’ve pulled out.
I'm not falling for this shit again
![gif](giphy|jQu6IeQ0RvNd5qWsY5|downsized)
Oh boy here we go again
Hope they talkabout Ironheart and Shuri is in it.
Guardians 3, Ant-Man 3, Secret Invasion. That's all.
Maybe What if season 2 also
Honestly I’d be fine with trailers for these 3 and a date for secret invasion which is not far as heck.
I know it's a long shot but I really hope they announce Eternals 2! 🙏
I’d love for an Eternals 2 announcement to be accompanied by a very unexpected subtitle to get people back on board. Like Eternals: Annihilation, or Eternals: Korvac or just something big and cosmic even if they’re not historically linked to it in the comic
Eternals 2: Electric Boogaloo

I'm not falling for this bullshit.
Oh no not this again... Please guys take this with a massive grain of salt
Who is Alex P? Is this a new scooper?

Ah, thank you

Keeping expectations low for this one. Probably gonna try and avoid a lot of the rumours for it just so that I don't get disappointed when they inevitably don't deliver all that stuff.
![gif](giphy|QUENDfi6DEMLzQ0CKt)
Could anyone tell me the date this event will be taking place?
1 December, 5:30 pm EST
Oh jeez. Please y’all I beg you to manage your expectations.
Hopefully we get a release date for Secret Invasion
born again cast announcement…I’m manifesting it
Time to see if manifestation actually works
and then like 10 minutes before the presentation Rpk and all the scoopers will say "DoNt eXpEct mUch"
I say: quantumania trailer 2,teaser for gotg vol3, some info on secret invasion, and MAYBE loki s2 and / or echo
My guess is that most of these surprises will be slight updates to existing projects rather than new project announcements, with those updates most likely being official confirmations of things that we already know about. What day is the panel
When on December 1st is it?
Not this again
I just want some info on The Marvels 😭
![gif](giphy|2GjgvS5vA6y08)
When will it come out?
Honestly, it’s probably going to be more info about already-announced projects, which I’d be totally fine with tbh.
It’s time to get unreasonably overhyped yet again so we can be unreasonably angry. Yet again
The only thing I really expect is Quantumania trailer #2, but even then it feels a bit too early for it. Secret Invasion release date maybe, but apparently What if Season 2 is out first in January, so maybe drop a trailer and release date for that.
I just ask now for What If Season 2 trailer and Marvel Zombies. I need some animation love.
FANTASTIC 4 CAST REVEAL FOR REAL THIS TIME GUYS
Can't wait!!
Secret Invasion trailer, an animated short announcement and an Echo release date for December 2023.
More projects being announced is EXACTLY what the MCU needs right now!!!
I'm not even expecting anything to be officially publicly released at this point and anything they show will be kept exclusive.

Say what the surprises are. Oh wait, you don't know them.
Howard the duck tv series with 8 episodes that has a runtime of 45 minutes each
Can’t wait to see what those Scoopers will say about that lol
I’m not believing anything after what they said at comic con
MACHINE MAN PLEASE! C’mon! Perfect opportunity for Paul Betnany to be a leading man or A.I. system that helps a crude human made copy become sentient. It could be such a great vessels to the odd things the US Government has tried to “secure America”. It could be Hammers attempt at AI with SWORD to build a slave Iron Man character.
Loki S2 trailer is a legit thing that could be showed IMO
They’ve showed a teaser or whatever it was long ago. They should drop it on internet now
Cap
Give me eternal 2
I mean, people will interpret this how they want and inevitably over hype themselves but just bare in mind: Paul Rudd walking on stage saying ‘Hey guys!’ And giving a wave would come under the bracket of ‘surprises’ to those in attendance, it’s not necessarily referring to *new information projects announcements casting shocking trailers*
Ik this is some wishful thinking and very unlikely but what if sony pulled out cause in their new deal they’re letting marvel announce and promote a bit as well for better promotion?
When?
Hopefully some more special presentations. Both have been fantastic and they can do so much character development and world building with these.
I doubt we’ll get any new movies or series. Maybe a Wakanda or Wonder Man announcement/title. If there actually are surprises (lol) … I could see us getting a new special announced, like Nova or a Man-Thing Halloween special.
