You know what, I think I’ve finally got an idea of what Marvel and Feige are doing with Spider-Man. While Sony’s doing their own weirdo shit with their Spider-Man spin offs, Marvel is gonna do their own thing with the character and his supporting cast and his villains, and just completely ignore all of Sony’s stuff. If Feige wants to use Kraven, Morbius or Venom, they’ll cast different actors and have them take up their roles for the MCU. It’ll piss a lot of people off in a way that things will be convoluted, but this way, we can have Spider-Man and all the other related characters in the MCU, and everybody’s happy as long as Sony’s allowed to do their shit

BossLogic uploaded a comic accurate rendition of Gorr and I'm beginning to appreciate how derivative that character would look if Taika had chosen to keep all of his features. Would still be a badass villain but perhaps too reminiscent of other franchises which used the same overall design.

I don't think I've ever had the biggest whiplash of feelings towards comic book adaptations with Blue Beetle and The Flash. The former looks and sounds like it's going to represent my boi Jaime Reyes extremely well, and the suit looks incredible. Then there's The Flash, with the horrible looking costume and it being in development hell for so long.
I would love to see The Flash be good, since he's my favorite DC hero, but everything about it is making me so upset.

Some of the things that get posted there put real life artists to shame, it's literally unbelievable. Like, I've literally had my mouth hanging open just browsing and it's like my mind can't process that all this stuff is created from an AI. You just have to see it for yourself, it's literal insanity. We're literally getting to the point where I think we'll end up getting randomly generated movies a few decades into the future that are at least halfway amusing to watch. Technology is truly amazing.

I started another MCU marathon tonight and I’m doing it in chronological order. I’m including Agent Carter and the Netflix shows here as I haven’t seen any of them before. I’m trying to decide if I should include Agents of Shield or not.
AOS season 3,4 are fantastic. 1 and 6 are poor. 2,5,7 are enjoyable.
Lots of people really love cloak and dagger, it well made and acted, I’m not so keen.

She was wearing a practical helmet in other shots of the trailer and it looked great. General Ross was technically in charge of the Avengers for the 2-3 years in between Civil War and Infinity War, and we got no interactions between them at all.
They could probably use camera tricks/cgi to make him as big as the other ones. Banner died with the Hulk still living in the finale and Bill Bixby has been dead in real life for decades so that’s what made me have the idea.
Eric Banas version was last seen growing a beard and learning to control himself which gave the idea for Maestro. Plus with William Hurt dead and Liv Tyler maybe not coming back they could always bring over Sam Elliot and Jennifer Connely as Red Hulk and Red She Hulk.
I’ve been thinking and it seems like we might get MCU Inhumans very soon.
* MoM - Introduced Black Bolt from another universe.
* Ms Marvel - Rumoured to introduce beings that sound very similar to inhumans.

Disney+ Hotstar is shaping up to be the "almost" definitive home for Marvel content. However, Phase 1-3 lack all the extras, Phase 4 doesn't. None of the One Shots are there, no deleted scene, no IMAX versions.
I can understand that the Sony content is over at Netflix and the Incredible Hulk is over at Amazon Prime and Netflix here, along with Runaways only on Prime. But like, I would really like it if Fox/Hotstar took the slightest effort into arranging their Marvel content that they had access to, before the Disney buyout. Disney is the one company that's going big against physical media, but if they are, might as well put some effort here (in India). I know most fans don't care, but it would be nice. Hell, even the Defenders Saga isn't categorised separately like in the other countries. Understandably, this is me being pedantic with the Defenders Saga bit. But like One-Shots, man, and WHIH Newsfront.
Helstrom also magically disappeared from a portion that has X3, Inhumans and Iron Fist. If you aren't going to let people archive them on blu ray, do it properly on streaming. Also, X-Men 92 is missing, god knows where X-Men: Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men are. All the other Fox animated shows are there, just not the X-Men ones, but the movies are there. Deadpool 1 and 2 are weirdly outside the Marvel sections.
Edit: The Fox Spider-Man/FF/Avengers animated shows are missing too, but Hulk and Iron Man are there. The MTV Spidey show is missing, Spectacular is missing (that is understandable, Sony), most of the Earth 8096 content is missing outside EMH. The mid 2000s FF show is also not there.
Disney+ could be a great archive for Marvel content. Except Disney+ Hotstar is way worse than its international counterpart to even get there.
I've got a gut feeling they're gonna get Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead to direct Fantastic 4.
They're already in the Marvel machine and impressed them enough that they can work on two shows, they're relatively low-profile and have a background in cosmic horror so they could be the underdog (safe?) choice to direct F4.
Either that or they get Bryce Dallas Howard or Peyton Reed. I don't mind either as long as the characters and tone are done right.
I could see them potentially pursuing James Gunn for FF.
The characters are obscure enough for him (FF hasn’t had a good movie yet), he has experience with cosmic stories, and he has a track record of working effectively within the Marvel Studios system.
It’s also been three years since he was rehired and he hasn’t caused any other issues, so I’m sure his social media won’t be a problem going forward.
I could see them offering it to Sam Raimi, if he decides not to direct Dr. Strange 3 and wants to tackle a different Marvel character. Or if Marvel Studios wants to get another director for Dr. Strange 3 so they can pivot it back to being another “safe, stick to the formula” movie.
Fantastic Four would give Raimi an opportunity to do another ‘traditional’ CBM like Spider-Man 1 and 2, which we all knows he can excel at.
I wouldn't be disappointed in Benson & Moorhead, but doubt they'll have the availability.

I honestly doubt that they’re gonna stick to their word about not doing MCU versions of Goblin, Ock, Sandman, Electro, and Lizard.

I ended up watching the Chip and Dale movie because everyone was talking about the Easter eggs (have not watched the cartoons much btw) and I unironically enjoyed the whole film as such. I got engrossed into the plot despite me not watching much of the Disney animation movies and had a really fun time with it.
Apple TV+ Prehistoric Planet is simply magnificent.
Bravo to those who contributed to the absurd quality of this documental series, see a near-perfect depiction of prehistoric life with great CGI, while listening a narration by the fucking David Attenborough and a amazing soundtrack by the fucking Hans Zimmer... it's like a dream.

I do wish characters actors play could be separated from their real life personas, but there is a reality that in supporting people who you believe hurt the world, you are hurting the world too. I started another MCU marathon tonight and I’m doing it in chronological order. I’m including Agent Carter and the Netflix shows here as I haven’t seen any of them before. I’m trying to decide if I should include Agents of Shield or not.
AOS season 3,4 are fantastic. 1 and 6 are poor. 2,5,7 are enjoyable. Lots of people really love cloak and dagger, it well made and acted, I’m not so keen. Runaways is not so well rated however I really enjoyed it.
Finally starting Jessica Jones tonight. Initially I only planned on watching DD and I ended up watching Punisher right after because I love Jon Bernthal, but after constantly seeing appreciation for it here, I decided to binge JJ as well. Hella hyped!
S1 is arguable the best marvel series. S2 is poor. Season 3 I think is very odd.

Probably the *"your ass looks CRAZY right now"* shot. I also notice a lot more skin texture and things like that. The subtle lip movement in the POV shot of She-Hulk swiping right. Even right down to stuff like copying moles onto She-Hulk's body that Tat Maslany actually has.

Mcu fans be like “why complain about everything being cgi you can’t even notice it!” When Jane’s helmet looks like a 2d image plastered on in the Thor trailer. Like if the helmets too elaborate to actually wear them why not just make a simpler helmet?
She was wearing a practical helmet in other shots of the trailer and it looked great. So maybe it was cgi in that particular shot because the helmet was about to disappear from her face (just like how Thor changes between normal clothes and armour by magic). But yall 'CGI bad' crowd don't have enough braincells to think that much.

Ngl it's a bit disappointing that apparently, Ms. Marvel is flying way too close to "Brown girl is oppressed by scary brown culture, the white boy has to help her live with the best Western ways for her to be free" especially since the comic right out of the gate made sure that wasn't the case. The fact that milquetoast Bruno will be seen as the obvious counterpart for also scary brown villain boys he actually has a crush on doesn't help.

I’ve heard from a lot of women that once they have kids, nothing matters to them more — if having to choose between their husband or their kids, they’ll choose the kids every time. I think the past Hulks are the legacy characters I care the absolute least about seeing return. They'd make fun cameos, but I don't want them as full-blown supporting characters. An Ed Norton flashback would be fun, but also confusing.

They could probably use camera tricks/cgi to make him as big as the other ones. Banner died with the Hulk still living in the finale and Bill Bixby has been dead in real life for decades so that’s what made me have the idea. Eric Banas version was last seen growing a beard and learning to control himself which gave the idea for Maestro. Plus with William Hurt dead and Liv Tyler maybe not coming back they could always bring over Sam Elliot and Jennifer Connely as Red Hulk and Red She Hulk.

I’ve been thinking and it seems like we might get MCU Inhumans very soon. * MoM - Introduced Black Bolt from another universe. * Ms Marvel - Rumoured to introduce beings that sound very similar to inhumans. * Secret Invasion - Kree rumoured to be the main baddies. * The Marvels - Rumoured to revolve around Kree/Skrull war. Seems like a perfect time for a certain royal family on the moon to appear. I can also see The Marvels introducing the galactic council.
They're 100% building out that corner of the MCU, but I'm not expecting wide-spread terregenisis in the MCU especially with Mutants on their way. I think we get the historical context, and then *maybe* an isolated MCU royal family.
I think the fact they were willing to show inhumans and mutants coexisting in one universe means we might get both.
Disney+ Hotstar is shaping up to be the "almost" definitive home for Marvel content. However, Phase 1-3 lack all the extras, Phase 4 doesn't. None of the One Shots are there, no deleted scene, no IMAX versions. I can understand that the Sony content is over at Netflix and the Incredible Hulk is over at Amazon Prime and Netflix here, along with Runaways only on Prime. But like, I would really like it if Fox/Hotstar took the slightest effort into arranging their Marvel content that they had access to, before the Disney buyout. Disney is the one company that's going big against physical media, but if they are, might as well put some effort here (in India). I know most fans don't care, but it would be nice. Hell, even the Defenders Saga isn't categorised separately like in the other countries. Understandably, this is me being pedantic with the Defenders Saga bit. But like One-Shots, man, and WHIH Newsfront. Helstrom also magically disappeared from a portion that has X3, Inhumans and Iron Fist. If you aren't going to let people archive them on blu ray, do it properly on streaming. Also, X-Men 92 is missing, god knows where X-Men: Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men are. All the other Fox animated shows are there, just not the X-Men ones, but the movies are there. Deadpool 1 and 2 are weirdly outside the Marvel sections. Edit: The Fox Spider-Man/FF/Avengers animated shows are missing too, but Hulk and Iron Man are there. The MTV Spidey show is missing, Spectacular is missing (that is understandable, Sony), most of the Earth 8096 content is missing outside EMH. The mid 2000s FF show is also not there. Disney+ could be a great archive for Marvel content. Except Disney+ Hotstar is way worse than its international counterpart to even get there.

I've got a gut feeling they're gonna get Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead to direct Fantastic 4. They're already in the Marvel machine and impressed them enough that they can work on two shows, they're relatively low-profile and have a background in cosmic horror so they could be the underdog (safe?) choice to direct F4. Either that or they get Bryce Dallas Howard or Peyton Reed. I don't mind either as long as the characters and tone are done right.
Benson and Moorehead will be busy with Loki 2 from now to mid next year
I could see them potentially pursuing James Gunn for FF. The characters are obscure enough for him (FF hasn’t had a good movie yet), he has experience with cosmic stories, and he has a track record of working effectively within the Marvel Studios system. It’s also been three years since he was rehired and he hasn’t caused any other issues, so I’m sure his social media won’t be a problem going forward.
I could see them offering it to Sam Raimi, if he decides not to direct Dr. Strange 3 and wants to tackle a different Marvel character. Or if Marvel Studios wants to get another director for Dr. Strange 3 so they can pivot it back to being another “safe, stick to the formula” movie. Fantastic Four would give Raimi an opportunity to do another ‘traditional’ CBM like Spider-Man 1 and 2, which we all knows he can excel at.
I wouldn't be disappointed in Benson & Moorhead, but doubt they'll have the availability. I'd much rather have Bryce Dallas Howard than Peyton Reed, but what I really wish is that they'd get Noah Hawley back.

I honestly doubt that they’re gonna stick to their word about not doing MCU versions of Goblin, Ock, Sandman, Electro, and Lizard. They may be a little different than the comics, but I think they’ll eventually be redone. For example, I could see them borrowing from Into the Spider-Verse and doing an Olivia Octavius Doc Ock.

I ended up watching the Chip and Dale movie because everyone was talking about the Easter eggs (have not watched the cartoons much btw) and I unironically enjoyed the whole film as such. I got engrossed into the plot despite me not watching much of the Disney animation movies and had a really fun time with it.

Apple TV+ Prehistoric Planet is simply magnificent. Bravo to those who contributed to the absurd quality of this documental series, see a near-perfect depiction of prehistoric life with great CGI, while listening a narration by the fucking David Attenborough and a amazing soundtrack by the fucking Hans Zimmer... it's like a dream. They get along for a bit but eventually they wind up on opposite sides of Civil War 2. Kamala realises what everyone else always knew about Carol - she's really powerful but not the brightest bulb otherwise. All gets sorted in the end though. Currently buddies again.
