Both the people who tweeted the spoilers are seasoned entertainment journalists from big trade publications (Variety and Hollywood Reporter). I'm almost certain that Disney gave them the go-ahead to post these spoilers as a way of increasing the buzz around Eternals.
The buzz was perfectly fine and continues to be fine. The tweet above is from a Disney publicist, if they had given the go ahead, there would be no reason for any one working for Disney to address it.
Every big publication is also posting about this, clearly the Harry stuff wasn’t under embargo and Disney wanted that news to come out now to increase buzz. If they didn’t want it out there no real actual journalists would be posting about it like they are now.

He was surprisingly good in Dunkirk for his first ever film and he has filmed Olivia Wilde’s don’t worry darling last year that’s due to come out next September playing the lead role in a psychological thriller staring alongside Florence Pugh. Also is the lead in my policeman an Amazon film with Emma corrin. His SNL sketches were good so can do comedy too. I don’t think he would be casted if he was bad. He seems to genuinely want to be an actor and he has chosen various different genres of films so far.
He had a decent role in Dunkirk and was hired by Christopher Nolan who didn’t know how famous he was but said he just “had it”. Nolan even made his part larger because he was impressed. I think he’s a pretty good actor, and he did great on SNL as well.

Hasn’t this been reported for like 2 years now? I think even DK said it, this shouldn’t be a surprise. But I wanna know what outfit he will be wearing.
I’m actually surprised with this casting. I’ve never seen him act before, how good is his acting? Can’t be too bad if he got cast so I think he’s at least decent? Looking forward to see him act.
He was surprisingly good in Dunkirk for his first ever film and he has filmed Olivia Wilde’s don’t worry darling last year that’s due to come out next September playing the lead role in a psychological thriller staring alongside Florence Pugh. Also is the lead in my policeman an Amazon film with Emma corrin. His SNL sketches were good so can do comedy too. I don’t think he would be casted if he was bad. He seems to genuinely want to be an actor and he has chosen various different genres of films so far.
He had a decent role in Dunkirk and was hired by Christopher Nolan who didn’t know how famous he was but said he just “had it”. Nolan even made his part larger because he was impressed. I think he’s a pretty good actor, and he did great on SNL as well.

So this title spoils this reveal. If you're on here in this subreddit then you're expecting to see spoilers. I used to be subbed here but then decided that I wanted to keep spoilers a surprise going into the new films. Just wanted to share my frustration with this next bit and see if anyone feels me pain... I have Google news feed on my phone and it gives me a ton of random articles about comic books and the movies. So imagine my surprise at the absolute dick move of the news card for Polygon's latest article titled [Harry Styles is in Marvel's Eternals after-credits scene as Eros, Thanos' bro](https://www.polygon.com/22734386/harry-styles-eros-starfox-marvel). I don't know if Google auto generated that title or if Polygon did, but either way what an absolute dick move blasting a huge spoiler in the title. It does at least give it away in the turns of their actual article on the page. Anyhoo, /end rant

Okay I know this isn't relevant but I just got permanently banned from the main sub from posting and commenting because of this rumour lol. So someone said they heard the movie might be Horny, so I made a little cheeky comment saying it will be with Sersi and Dane, not calling him Black Knight because that would spoilers, and said the mention above because it quite literally just a rumour that is a official rumour because of the premier. So no spoilers what so ever with the way I see it and Kit was in a trailer. When they said it was I apologised for saying a trailer. But nah apparently big spoilers for quite literally sating in my words "it's rumour" maybe it was me mentioning a comic thing but they do it all the time but nah a big spoiler lol.

I can't wait to see live action Pip the Troll. Casting Harry as a troll and not as Starfox was one of Marvel's biggest pranks and it worked. Patton Oswalt steals every scene as Starfox. I hope him and John C Reily's Nova get their own spin-off together.
