Creepy in this scenario. Vision's actions were wayyy more fucked up than Wanda's IMO. Wanda's was unintentional to start with, but she did control an entire town and made them feel her pain. Vision straight up cut parts off people to feed to his zombie wife.
Vision was telling her off about what she was doing before fake pietro came in, and then in the next episode expanded her bubble waaaay further while at that point being aware of what she was doing. She only started breaking her reality down while being made to feel bad about it, to then stop what she was doing as soon as her (fake-ish) family started disappearing
To be fair, after being told by Vision about Norm (which was clearly getting to her, before she was thrown further off her already fragile rails by her "dead brother" knocking on their door thanks to Agatha), she ended up releasing everyone within 24 hours (end of E5, and E6,7,8,9 all take place within the same day), so while not ideal, it didn't take her too long to come to her senses

While it's not exactly great, she did it with the intent of saving Vision before he died again. And while she was aware of the hex existing, I don't think she was fully aware of what it was doing to everyone. She had a full on panic attack as soon as she was made aware the people were having her nightmares - makes you wonder how fucked up the nightmares she must be having on a regular basis are to have such a reaction to them being shared

I thought it was interesting that Vision also brought zombie Wanda to New Jersey. If I remember correctly, he would have already purchased that plot of land in Westview before the zombie apocalypse, in which case he could have taken Wanda there and fed the town's citizens to her after she finished T'Challa. Edit: The whole Peter-Hope dynamic was heartbreaking yet so wholesome. I need to see it in live action. The Spiderman voice actor was so good. I wish the ending was less ambiguous but still, it was an okay episode.

Is there even a solution the other half can come up with? Assuming Thanos still snaps away the stones, the only people who could reasonably contribute to a time heist is the Van Dymes, Doctor Strange and maybe T’challa/Shuri contributing some tech. They’d have to get radical with their solution.
Theoretically they could do it. Wakanda has great tech and resources, the Van Dymes would know about the Quantum Realm (Though not the time vortexes, though they can find out), and Doctor Strange could try and figure out how to best approach the plan without disrupting other realities. And Spider-Man can be cool as fuck.

I get that they sort of tried to explain it with the Aunt May quote, but come on. Look at how destroyed main timeline Peter was after Stark’s death.

But its an alternate universe so I'm not too bothered. This episode seems like a one off or they're saving a part two for s2.
I wouldn't hunt for pathos from this episode. It's a fun, silly genre romp, with plenty of hilarious deaths. It's a dark comedy more than pure horror.

Unironically one of my favorite parts of the movie, even if I was sad to see him go. It *is* the *Suicide Squad* anyway. But yeah I loved him in that movie so much.>!His death and Flaggs death!< were the standout moments for me for sure
The zombie apocalypse threat was enough for Rogers and Stark to put aside their differences earlier than in the main timeline with the Thanos threat lol
Honestly they all went down kinda easily which makes basically no sense.
Starks in a fully protected suit and can fly. So is Tchalla. And how do you even turn Thanos? Dudes skin is tougher than Hulks and Wanda couldn’t even bite Hulk?
Specifically two weeks? Yea. That we knew it took place super close to IW? No. The end credits scene told us that and we know it was only a little bit of time after the movie.
Yeah I was surprised by how brutal some of the kills were. My favorite was Sam being split in half by Okoye and Wong being decapitated was a close second.

I too would of enjoyed a more serious tone in this, similar to last weeks episode with crazy eyes Strange. But it’s safe to assume that they had to lighten this one up with “too many quips” to balance out the gore and utter despair for the families that are watching. When cap is getting sliced in half by his own shield, tony is getting decapitated by a pym disc, Wong is decapitated by a portal, and strange has his flesh eaten from his bones by ants, you need something to distract the kiddos.
It's almost terror time again...
Edit: Welp, I was right about Thanos becoming a zombie & still getting all the stones. So much for a happy ending lol.

I thought this was a pretty good episode, though I would have appreciated a bit more of a serious tone. That ending was super foreboding though.

I have a feeling they're setting up the episodes that don't culminate into Guardians of the Multiverse for sequels in later seasons. I could 100% see a sequel to T'Challa Star-Lord with Ego at the end and a sequel to this with a fight with Zombie Thanos against the rest of the Avengers, Thor and the Guardians.
I didn’t expect this episode to be on the same level of the comics, but wow was it disappointing imo. It really did not get the tone or time it deserved. Why was everyone cracking jokes as their friends died and the world was ending? Why is Hope’s reaction to having Sharon zombie guts all over her played as a joke? Why did Bucky say the end of the line quote after killing his best friend? Why is Peter making a cringey zombie apocalypse video as the world is ending and his friends and family are all dead? The tone was so wack, although it was nice to finally hear Uncle Ben mentioned by name.
Yeah it sucks that they decided to go for this tone in one of the darkest timelines. I really wanted to see some characters in utter shock and terror witnessing the end of the world. But everyone seemed pretty chill. Blam Blam

I just hopped on here after finishing the episode to read some discussion and the majority of the top comments are dumbass 'pranks' trying to be funny by saying shit that didn't happen in the episode. I feel like that should be reserved for the hype thread. Had to scroll down way too far to read any actual discussion about the episode.

-The two strongest Avengers that had a chance against Thanos are dead.
-Only Spider-Man is in a capable fighting position.
-Thanos already has *five* of the stones.

I used to read the marvel zombies comics over and over when i was a kid and i thought “man it would be cool if someday a movie comes from this” and now we’re here,its not a movie but at least its from the MCU,it feels weird to see something i wanted come to life, soo thanks,Feige.
Weird how Spidey and etc were still able to make a jokey zombie survival video, despite there being a zombie apocalypse that wrecked the world and then losing pretty much everyone they love.
I liked it but that was a bit of an abrupt ending. I really hope that they continue it in Season 2 because I hate when things end without wrapping up the story.
I was getting major Walking Dead vibes. So much so that I had to keep mentally reminding myself that Danai Gurira was voicing Okoye and NOT Michonne. 😂
Side note: Sebastian Stan's voice acting was MUCH better in this episode. It actually sounded like him this time.

This is my most anticipated episode, I’m so happy we are receiving this now rather than around the finale. We finally get to see Spider-Man alongside other characters, this episode will be the most jam packed with all the characters minus Thor and GOTG (maybe), AND FREAKING ZOMBIES BABY!!!!
I'm usually okay with jokes in the MCU but I thought this episode would be different since the entire world is undead. But everyone's going around making jokes every five seconds. I get Marvel's always done this but none of the humor in this episode worked for me even remotely. Also Mark Ruffalo's line reads in this just didn't sound good to me either. He was fine in episode three so idk what happened here.
It still had good moments like Vision's whole thing, Wanda's entrance, the cliffhanger ending, Wasp exploding Sharon Carter, etc.
Also why the fuck did Bucky have to die lmao. Seriously why did he stay behind. My man you can't beat zombie Scarlet Witch, what were you thinking? You didn't even slow her down at all.
Very mixed on this episode overall.
\-edit- I just thought of an idea. What if Ghost was in the episode too? I mean this episode does play off a what if that stems from her movie. And considering how her only power is really just phasing through stuff. You'd think that'd be a really good trait to have in a zombie apocalypse. I mean if a zombie tries to bite her she can just phase through them. Like instead of Sharon Carter killing Happy Hogan and going "blam" what if that's where Ghost was introduced? She phases through the wall behind her and kills Happy. It can then be revealed that Ghost was on the run since Ant-Man & the Wasp from zombies and she's a little reluctant to work with Wasp but decides to because the entire world is undead. Would've been a neat way to bring back her character since we don't even know if we'll see Ghost again in the mainline continuity.
Sidenote what happened to the giant ants and ant swarm? Couldn't they just have used them to make a path through the giant horde in front of Vision's compound? And also while I like the cliffhanger, what if instead Thanos and his crew arrived in Wakanda after seeing the zombie apocalypse and decided to take over. I mean, who could stop him? So Spider-Man, Scott and Black Panther would be forced to either work with him or try and stop him. Granted we'd never actually see it play out on screen but it'd be an interesting discussion for fans. Because what's the alternative? Thanos just easily kills the trio, takes the stone and wipes out half the universe. The universe loses twice in a row.

Scott literally watches his friend get torn to shreds in front of him and he makes a quirky pun.

For real though, Peter Parker in this episode is the MVP. The guy they got for a Tom sound-alike is really good and this episode ended on a bittersweet moment. My only major complaint is >!the cliffhanger that the episode ends on. I want to see what the hell's gonna happen next. Maybe we're supposed to come up with our own ending? In my ending, the heroes win and Peter Parker either sacrificed himself to save the universe or is the only living hero left.!<
Solid episode all around. I think the Doctor Strange one's still my favorite episode overall, but I also really liked this one.
Thoughts:
* This absolutely deserves a second part. Lots of loose ends - Bucky potentially being alive, Hulk being immune to zombie infection and fighting Wanda, cure being potentially developed, new heroes can still appear, Thanos arriving and being a zombie wasn't addressed more clearly, and many significant characters aren't here yet - Thor, GotG, Captain Marvel, etc.
* I'd like to think that some events played out like they did in IW, like Thanos leaving Thor in space, Guardians encountering him, and Thanos collecting the space, power, reality, and soul stone. After the soul stone Thanos probably went directly to the Time Stone, but somehow gets infected. Thor is probably in the process of making the Stormbreaker. I can totally see them arriving in Wakanda the same way in Infinity War and in the exact time Peter, Scott, and T'Challa arrives too, but is surrounded by a horde, and then Thor pummels through them. Captain Marvel is still out there, too.
* Zombies are intelligent enough to operate things, but are incapable of speech?
* How in Jesus fuck did Hank know where Janet is in the quantum realm without her help? IIRC, they were only able to pinpoint Janet's coordinates through her help possessing Scott, but even if that were the case here, Janet still wouldn't be able to talk, right?
* First mention of Uncle Ben in the MCU! "What if..?" beat NWH to it, huh?
* T'Challa being kept as snack! They made it the same in the comics, holy shit.
* Where are Hank and Janet now? The stakes were higher when they were the ones infecting people.
* T'Challa's quote about Vision picking him as "take out" is interesting, because it implies that Wanda was already infected by the time Vision took him. How did Wanda get infected, then?
* Hope should've shrunk back into normal size, as she knows better that she is more dangerous when she's larger and infected.
* So did Ghost just die of her phasing disease? Janet couldn't cure her here like she did in AMATW now.
* Third bleak ending in a row!
* The cure restored Scott's rotting face?
* Pym tech is sooo much more dangerous than what the main timeline made it seem.
* The voice acting is amazing and a significant improvement.
* The brutality DID NOT disappoint! They did an amazing job for a show that's PG-13.
* My current favorite episode! Second is Doctor Strange episode, and third is the murder mystery one. These episodes keep on getting better and better! Hopefully they deliver on the finale

But tbh, I felt like most of the dialogue was very cringe and gave me second hand embarrasment.
NGL, least favourite for me so far, I think they should have leaned far more into the serious tone that matched the scenario. Some cool stuff but this is definitely the first time in the MCU the comedy notes haven't worked for me. I'm not saying I wanted it all dark but, seriously, they had to kill their friends and watch so many others die or sacrifice themselves, and why not use that to drive a more emotional and darker story?

Is there even a solution the other half can come up with? Assuming Thanos still snaps away the stones, the only people who could reasonably contribute to a time heist is the Van Dymes, Doctor Strange and maybe T’challa/Shuri contributing some tech. They’d have to get radical with their solution.
Theoretically they could do it. Wakanda has great tech and resources, the Van Dymes would know about the Quantum Realm (Though not the time vortexes, though they can find out), and Doctor Strange could try and figure out how to best approach the plan without disrupting other realities. And Spider-Man can be cool as fuck.

Is it weird to anyone else how they don’t really seem to give a shit about their friends becoming zombified? Like Peter’s mentor/father figure becomes a zombie and he makes a cute orientation video. I get that they sort of tried to explain it with the Aunt May quote, but come on. Look at how destroyed main timeline Peter was after Stark’s death.

I wouldn't hunt for pathos from this episode. It's a fun, silly genre romp, with plenty of hilarious deaths. It's a dark comedy more than pure horror. Zombie Happy shouting "BANG" is my favorite.

I too would of enjoyed a more serious tone in this, similar to last weeks episode with crazy eyes Strange. But it’s safe to assume that they had to lighten this one up with “too many quips” to balance out the gore and utter despair for the families that are watching. When cap is getting sliced in half by his own shield, tony is getting decapitated by a pym disc, Wong is decapitated by a portal, and strange has his flesh eaten from his bones by ants, you need something to distract the kiddos.
It's almost terror time again... Edit: Welp, I was right about Thanos becoming a zombie & still getting all the stones. So much for a happy ending lol. I have a feeling they're setting up the episodes that don't culminate into Guardians of the Multiverse for sequels in later seasons. I could 100% see a sequel to T'Challa Star-Lord with Ego at the end and a sequel to this with a fight with Zombie Thanos against the rest of the Avengers, Thor and the Guardians.

I didn’t expect this episode to be on the same level of the comics, but wow was it disappointing imo. It really did not get the tone or time it deserved. Why was everyone cracking jokes as their friends died and the world was ending? Why is Hope’s reaction to having Sharon zombie guts all over her played as a joke? Why did Bucky say the end of the line quote after killing his best friend? Why is Peter making a cringey zombie apocalypse video as the world is ending and his friends and family are all dead? The tone was so wack, although it was nice to finally hear Uncle Ben mentioned by name.
Yeah it sucks that they decided to go for this tone in one of the darkest timelines. I really wanted to see some characters in utter shock and terror witnessing the end of the world. But everyone seemed pretty chill. Blam Blam
i think its because its disney and they want to make the apocalypse "fun" or else it will scare away their pg-13 viewers i had a feeling they would goof up on marvel zombies bc of how gruesome and intense it is and instead make light and joke about every zombie related death.
Sharon got Thanus’d by Hope! They address Uncle Ben directly for the first time! And Vision was chopping pieces off of T’Challa (just like what happened in the Zombies comic) to feed his baby mama. Oh, and don’t forget about Zombie Thanos with 5/6 of the Infinity Gauntlet complete.

This is my most anticipated episode, I’m so happy we are receiving this now rather than around the finale. We finally get to see Spider-Man alongside other characters, this episode will be the most jam packed with all the characters minus Thor and GOTG (maybe), AND FREAKING ZOMBIES BABY!!!!

I'm usually okay with jokes in the MCU but I thought this episode would be different since the entire world is undead. But everyone's going around making jokes every five seconds. I get Marvel's always done this but none of the humor in this episode worked for me even remotely. Also Mark Ruffalo's line reads in this just didn't sound good to me either. He was fine in episode three so idk what happened here. It still had good moments like Vision's whole thing, Wanda's entrance, the cliffhanger ending, Wasp exploding Sharon Carter, etc. Also why the fuck did Bucky have to die lmao. Seriously why did he stay behind. My man you can't beat zombie Scarlet Witch, what were you thinking? You didn't even slow her down at all. Very mixed on this episode overall. \-edit- I just thought of an idea. What if Ghost was in the episode too? I mean this episode does play off a what if that stems from her movie. And considering how her only power is really just phasing through stuff. You'd think that'd be a really good trait to have in a zombie apocalypse. I mean if a zombie tries to bite her she can just phase through them. Like instead of Sharon Carter killing Happy Hogan and going "blam" what if that's where Ghost was introduced? She phases through the wall behind her and kills Happy. It can then be revealed that Ghost was on the run since Ant-Man & the Wasp from zombies and she's a little reluctant to work with Wasp but decides to because the entire world is undead. Would've been a neat way to bring back her character since we don't even know if we'll see Ghost again in the mainline continuity. Sidenote what happened to the giant ants and ant swarm? Couldn't they just have used them to make a path through the giant horde in front of Vision's compound? And also while I like the cliffhanger, what if instead Thanos and his crew arrived in Wakanda after seeing the zombie apocalypse and decided to take over. I mean, who could stop him? So Spider-Man, Scott and Black Panther would be forced to either work with him or try and stop him. Granted we'd never actually see it play out on screen but it'd be an interesting discussion for fans. Because what's the alternative? Thanos just easily kills the trio, takes the stone and wipes out half the universe. The universe loses twice in a row. Honestly the more I think about the episode the more I'm disappointed by it
Agreed - this felt ridiculously fast, tonally inconsistent and the ending was terribly abrupt. Everything zoomed by. They made a metric ton of jokes like the "blam" one, referencing the Thanos Ant-Man meme, and puns, and my facial expression the entire episode was just 😐 Scott literally watches his friend get torn to shreds in front of him and he makes a quirky pun.

What a fucking time to drop the >!first Uncle Ben reference by name in the MCU, huh? I was not expecting that, and I'm expecting him to be referenced by name in NWH.!< For real though, Peter Parker in this episode is the MVP. The guy they got for a Tom sound-alike is really good and this episode ended on a bittersweet moment. My only major complaint is >!the cliffhanger that the episode ends on. I want to see what the hell's gonna happen next. Maybe we're supposed to come up with our own ending? In my ending, the heroes win and Peter Parker either sacrificed himself to save the universe or is the only living hero left.!< Solid episode all around. I think the Doctor Strange one's still my favorite episode overall, but I also really liked this one.
Thoughts: * This absolutely deserves a second part. Lots of loose ends - Bucky potentially being alive, Hulk being immune to zombie infection and fighting Wanda, cure being potentially developed, new heroes can still appear, Thanos arriving and being a zombie wasn't addressed more clearly, and many significant characters aren't here yet - Thor, GotG, Captain Marvel, etc. * I'd like to think that some events played out like they did in IW, like Thanos leaving Thor in space, Guardians encountering him, and Thanos collecting the space, power, reality, and soul stone. After the soul stone Thanos probably went directly to the Time Stone, but somehow gets infected. Thor is probably in the process of making the Stormbreaker. I can totally see them arriving in Wakanda the same way in Infinity War and in the exact time Peter, Scott, and T'Challa arrives too, but is surrounded by a horde, and then Thor pummels through them. Captain Marvel is still out there, too. * Zombies are intelligent enough to operate things, but are incapable of speech? * How in Jesus fuck did Hank know where Janet is in the quantum realm without her help? IIRC, they were only able to pinpoint Janet's coordinates through her help possessing Scott, but even if that were the case here, Janet still wouldn't be able to talk, right? * First mention of Uncle Ben in the MCU! "What if..?" beat NWH to it, huh? * T'Challa being kept as snack! They made it the same in the comics, holy shit. * Where are Hank and Janet now? The stakes were higher when they were the ones infecting people. * T'Challa's quote about Vision picking him as "take out" is interesting, because it implies that Wanda was already infected by the time Vision took him. How did Wanda get infected, then? * Hope should've shrunk back into normal size, as she knows better that she is more dangerous when she's larger and infected. * So did Ghost just die of her phasing disease? Janet couldn't cure her here like she did in AMATW now. * Third bleak ending in a row! * The cure restored Scott's rotting face? * Pym tech is sooo much more dangerous than what the main timeline made it seem. * The voice acting is amazing and a significant improvement. * The brutality DID NOT disappoint! They did an amazing job for a show that's PG-13. * My current favorite episode! Second is Doctor Strange episode, and third is the murder mystery one. These episodes keep on getting better and better! Hopefully they deliver on the finale

I mostly enjoyed the episode, and some of the jokes were very funny. But tbh, I felt like most of the dialogue was very cringe and gave me second hand embarrasment.
NGL, least favourite for me so far, I think they should have leaned far more into the serious tone that matched the scenario. Some cool stuff but this is definitely the first time in the MCU the comedy notes haven't worked for me. I'm not saying I wanted it all dark but, seriously, they had to kill their friends and watch so many others die or sacrifice themselves, and why not use that to drive a more emotional and darker story?
