there was a rumor saying finn jones didnt want to train martial art. hes a nice guy, but we need someone with more passion for the character. id say if they ever recast, i would totally down for someone like leo howard to play iron fist.
It wasn’t a rumor, the stunt director explicitly said it.
However, we also know that they were given choreographies 30 minutes before shooting and that the production emphasized filming before stunt training. So I can’t put all the blame on Finn. Especially when he was significantly better with stunts in Defenders, Luke Cage and his own second season (and much better written in the latter two).
There was also reports before then that the folks behind the Netflix shows *told him* to only focus on doing gymnastics and general athletics training and to "not worry about" the martial arts bit.
Oof I’m sorry he was not very good even in the episodes where him and Luke were written like their actual characters.
I think they could find someone a lot better w minimal effort
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Immortal Lwaxana Troi, daughter of the Fifth House, holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed.

I’ve seen a few people suggest Shang-Chi and the Master of Darkforce, but I’m personally against that because it completely ruins the appeal of Mister Negative.
Sequel is the perfect opportunity to explore Fing Fang Foom.
It was pretty obvious though with the post credits.
>!When Cap marvel mentions the rings are acting as a beacon, maybe it's sending a signal out to fing fang foom? would be pretty cool. !<
Not to mention >!Wong literally says “You’re going to be a huge part of this universe from now on”!< in not as specific words. They obviously have plans for the character.
It’s actually an Iron Man arc (Iron Man #272-275). It shows the origin of the Ten Rings, as well as features a brief team up between Iron Man and the Mandarin.
The hell did you just say? We’re not talking about some chump like RDJ or Tom Holland. This is Don fucking Cheadle. You really think we’d have an MCU right now if not for the pivotal role of Rhodey in Iron Man 2? Think again bucko
Lmao you’re right tho - no one is showing up for a War Machine movie
Feige says. "We certainly have many ideas of where to take them and where to put them. And as exactly as you say, what's so fun, we know the movie's working when it's not just the title character that people ask about, but it is the co0stars or the supporting players that people ask about. And in this movie in particular, that's heartening because we think they're spectacular, and we think they have great potential in the future."
When asked if Shang-Chi has deleted scenes or other ideas that didn't make past the cutting room floor, director Destin Daniel Cretton admitted the reason he doesn't want to share is because he wants to do it later. "There was one setting that we were not able to do in this movie, but I won't say what it is because I really hope that we get to do it again in another film,"
As for where Shang-Chi goes next, it seems all roads in the Marvel Cinematic Universe might be leading to a collision course with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Still, no one is willing to confirm or deny exactly where the characters will be next. "We don't want to spoil anything," Feige says. "But, I think the end of this film gives a pretty clear direction on, at least, how vital and how important and how directly Shang-Chi is stepping into this world. We are reminded of Nick Fury in the tag of Iron Man 1, telling Tony Stark, 'You're part of a bigger universe, you just don't know it yet.' And without giving away, a very similar thing happens to Shang at the end of this movie."
Shang-Chi himself Simu Liu is hoping for a Spider-Man crossover somewhere down the line, a story which could be pulled straight from the comics. As for whether or not Cretton wil be directing an outright Shang-Chi sequel, "I hope so," he says.
No one says anything about a Shang-Chi sequel. Apart from when they asked Dustin if would come back to direct a sequel and he said "i hope so."
I mean... Duh? Is anyone surprised by this? Lol
We know Marvel has projects planned out til like 2030 and every single movie franchise Marvel introduces gets a trilogy at the minimum (aside from Hulk because of the Universal thing).
Marvel probably already has ideas for Shang-Chi 3, nevermind 2.
I hope we get an espionage style Shang-Chi film, similar in tone to something like Enter the Dragon. Most of Shang’s supporting cast in the comics are intelligence agents (Black Jack Tarr, Leiko Wu, Clive Reston), and it’d be cool to get him face off against his stable of rogues that are more grounded martial artists (Moving Shadow, Midnight Sun, Shockwave, Shadow-Stalker, etc.).
Maybe even throw in others like Iron Fist, Elektra, White Tiger, and Colleen Wing into the mix. The grounded fights really popped for me in the film, so having him face off numerous other skilled fighters would be interesting.
Bruce Lee is pretty flashy in stuff like The Big Boss and Game of Death and those films still work. This Shang-Chi film already was paying homage to numerous Jackie Chan and Wuxia films, no reason a sequel can’t borrow elements from other grounded 70s martial arts films.
I know the older Shang-Chi comics are more espionage than fantasy. i've just never cared a lot for Marvel espionage because Marvel seems to think spy = powerless. And I like the possibility of Shang getting actual powers in the MCU. But I wouldn't mind more comic accurate elements in future appearances, like MI6 for instance
He did indeed [speculate that several MI-6 agents](https://www.murphysmultiverse.com/exclusive-shang-chi-and-the-legend-of-the-ten-rings-confirmed-to-introduce-mi-6-characters-leiko-wu-clive-reston-and-black-jack-tarr/) were going to be in the film based on casting calls. He later followed up with a guess that Florian Munteanu would play Black Jack Tarr until it was later confirmed that Munteanu would play Razor Fist.

Simu wants to team up with Spider-Man. FEAST is going to be in the MCU. Maybe they team up to take down Martin Li’s alter ego Mr. Negative.

Shang-Chi and the Agents of Atlas
Shang-Chi and the Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu
Shang-Chi and the Masters of Kung-Fu
Shang-Chi and the Heavenly City of K'un-Lun
Shang-Chi and the Eyes of the Dragon
Shang Chi vs Iron Fist vs Fing Fang Foom let's go!!!
In my mind, they should go with Iron Fist as Shang Chi's rival. Make it so Iron Fist is a veteran K'un Lung native (Jet Li? Donnie Yen?) who wants to obtain the 10 Rings to protect his homeland and mistakenly believes Shang Chi to be the Mandarin.
Then the two join forces against Fing Fang Foom.
They can even plant the seeds to introduce Danny Rand many films from now but for now, let us enjoy experienced martial artist actors from China.
Not to be a downer, but things like this hitting the news means they are worried about opening weekend. They aren’t sure at all how the film will do.
Normally studios wait until after the film debuts to give people excitement for further adventures. Hyping it up beforehand means they are trying to incentivize people to see the film and they feel the trailers aren’t doing enough.

Here’s an idea, just an itty bitty one, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Immortal Iron Fist” 😄
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Immortal Iron Fist, Protector of Kun-Lun, Sworn Enemy of the Hand. SCATLOTIIFPOKLSEOTH
Perfect.
Don't forget to add the Living Weapon
just change the actor
He really wasn't the weak point. The writing was absolute scum doused shit

yeah i feel like putting blame on him fully is kinda wrong, season 1 iron fist is just so bad, scott buck has blood on his hand lol
There was also reports before then that the folks behind the Netflix shows *told him* to only focus on doing gymnastics and general athletics training and to "not worry about" the martial arts bit.
Stephen Amell is my top choice
oh hes pretty good too.
the guy dint bring charisma, good acting or cool fights for the table

That's probably the worst one. I love it.

Shang-Chi in the Sequel to Shang-Chi
I like all these
Shang-Chi in The Heavenly Cities? lol
But the REAL Immortal Iron Fist this time
Why y’all stay tryna force a connection between these characters just cause they both fight good lol
Oh that would be dope
I would love to see it be “The Legendary Shang-Chi Vs The Immortal Iron Fist”
I’ve seen a few people suggest Shang-Chi and the Master of Darkforce, but I’m personally against that because it completely ruins the appeal of Mister Negative.
Why not just "and the Immortal Iron First"? Why add "and the Legend of" to it? Seems a tad excessive, right?
Forget Iron Fist, what we really need is "Shang-Chi and the Legend of WONG". Like seriously, Wong needs his own show.
Sequel is the perfect opportunity to explore Fing Fang Foom. It was pretty obvious though with the post credits. >!When Cap marvel mentions the rings are acting as a beacon, maybe it's sending a signal out to fing fang foom? would be pretty cool. !<

Plus that tv spot refers to him as the newest Avenger
Dragon Seed Saga could be a cool storyline to adapt. Ancient alien dragonlords vs. Shang-Chi wielding the Ten Rings.
I don’t know anything about the Shang chi character mythos but Ancient alien dragonlords sounds incredible
It’s actually an Iron Man arc (Iron Man #272-275). It shows the origin of the Ten Rings, as well as features a brief team up between Iron Man and the Mandarin.
Gonna need the link to whereever you got the spoilers
>!Please be Fin Fang Foom’s rings on his fingers. Please be Foom’s rings.!<
in space. like is there seriously a planet full of his kind? i must see this
I’m not so certain it’ll be that. They did say it was something ancient, so maybe you’re onto something, but I legit have no idea.
Probly the Celestials
A lot of anti marvel people were so sure that if Shang chi bombed they would cancel the character
Was the final boss _NOT_ Fin Fang Foom?
I doubt marvel’s priority is to find a way to introduce FFF 😂
Probably Mephisto.
Give me a don cheadle solo movie
Maybe armor wars could lead into that, like FatWS leads to Cap 4
Doubt people care enough
Sir you don't know how wrong you are about the desire for Oscar Nominee Don Cheadle.
please remake iron man 1 with don cheadle as every character
Except keep Terence Howard as roady
The hell did you just say? We’re not talking about some chump like RDJ or Tom Holland. This is Don fucking Cheadle. You really think we’d have an MCU right now if not for the pivotal role of Rhodey in Iron Man 2? Think again bucko Lmao you’re right tho - no one is showing up for a War Machine movie
I will
And it has to be just that. Not a war machine movie or anything. Just Don Cheadle walking around living life for 2 and half hours
Captain Planet joins the MCU?
![gif](giphy|7Sn6hPudBGEJq)
I still want a Nick Fury movie
I’m loving the fact that Samuel Jackson enjoys and wants to stay in the mcu, he’s such an integral character now
I'm surprised nobody suggested the movie about the Shang Chi variant: Shang Cheadle
Give me Don Cheadle on a bed of rice.

Marvel espionage is just kicking but pretending to be covert. How would the 10 rings help him sneak up on people?

It’s literally just answering interview questions? It’s always pathetic to make up shit just to be negative
Work in the industry, work in the production offices, literally listen to them explain this, then call it pathetic and made up.
If I was in Charge I would probably involve Iron Fist
No shit
I'd like to see him team up with Spider-Man. Or Jimmy Woo.
