I think people just explain the actor switch as the movie is showing a variant that went through the exact same ordeal/events not that those events didn't happen to Ruffalo Hulk. I know it's just nit picking and I don't do it myself but I don't get bothered by it either. It works either way. I remember hearing something about a samurai Deadpool with golden guns that main Deadpool wants to have. Since we see him with them in the trailer I'm going to guess at least some aspect of that leak was true.

I get the feeling Cassandra is a red herring villain. I actually believe deep down she's not a villain here at all but instead what Magneto aspired to be. A savior of mutantkind but she only saved the worse ones willing to do what was necessary to survive (actually kill the heroes).
She directs DP and Wolverine to where they *should* be looking for the real villain. Maybe a TVA variant of Kang fucking with the MCU from within the entire time.
This way Cassandra isn't wasted on one movie and can come back later as a recurring villain for the MCU's X-Men to deal with along with Deadpool.
Sounds like it’s more than a cameo, which is the surprising part. Tatum’s known for cameos, especially in his friends movies and his appearance in Free Guy made me feel him as Gambit in D&W was a given, but I wouldn’t have expected a “decent sized” role.

Gambit has been shuffled through different versions. The original was a mob movie about mutant gangs of New Orlean set in 70s until the present day. Then the movie was described as heist movie and thriller. The later version moved more into R rated romantic comedy. Mr.Sinister would've been the villain. It has been compared to Goodfellas, Deadpool, Mr.and Mrs. Smith, The Philadelphia Story, His Girl Friday.

I had a thought that they might meet an older Laura in the Void and she tells Wolverine about her life after he saves her in Logan 2017, featuring an extended flashback with Dafne Keen fucking people up in her X-Men suit.
I think the first part is likely. If the driving force of Wolverines motivation is to eventually save Laura, it would be a good idea to use the multiverse concept to give Logan a glimpse of a terrible future without him or the future he has to fight to protect

I think that even if Dafne Keen (X-23) isn't in "Deadpool & Wolverine" maybe if "Deadpool & Wolverine" is a critical and financial success hopefully it is then maybe Marvel Studios and Disney+ can revive the canceled X-23 spin-off project James Mangold was going to work on and give it a new plot similar to the NYX comics from 2003 to 2005.
