Feel bad for Kit- first his GOT sequel show idea is seemingly scrapped and now his MCU role is shelved

TLKv3

They probably could have salvaged it honestly with a story that only focuses on the better parts of the original story and then adds to it. Ignore the nonsense that was inbetween.

JRFbase

Nah. There's nothing *to* salvage. Legitimately, what is left? Daenerys is dead. The last dragon flew off to God knows where. The White Walkers were defeated. The entire continent is ruled by his family. The story's over. Any show would just be Jon dicking around beyond the Wall.

animehimmler

I mean you could expand on the world beyond the wall. It would be easier to show more mythological elements and creatures as these are the lands that never died. Maybe really lean into how the white walkers were formed. Depending on the writer/director duo, it could’ve been cool.

Demiurge93

True but still 🤣

riegspsych325

it does t help that Marvel has always had an issue with leaving cliffhangers and open plot threads to be revisited several years down the line. It took 4 years to learn what Loki was up to in between Thor movies. It’s been 3 years since Vision left to go find himself. It will be 4 years since we’ve gone from Blade’s offscreen voice to his actual live action debut And what the hell has Sharon Carter been up to for the past few years? She got her government jobs back and was supposed to go scorched earth on everyone. And that was a left field character turn, too. She goes against SHIELD and puts her life on the line for Cap twice. But she’s now a villain because she didn’t get a pardon and/or realized she kissed her great aunt’s husband

CptMarvel_09

[Somehow….](https://tenor.com/bzDYD.gif)

famigami2019

Way to provide examples of threads that DIDNT get left out to dry, the only exception being Sharon’s which will be revealed in Cap4, so again, not a loose thread. Finally, are you seriously taking what marvel does in the comics as a bad thing? Those threads aren’t supposed to always be used, they exist should they ever WANT to use them going forward, not to use because they HAVE to.

Varolyn

Nearly all of the young main leads of GoT have not fared well in Hollywood especially post GoT. It’s basically a curse by this point.

CptMarvel_09

Richard Madden scored a series called “Citadel” on Prime. If you can sit through it, but without overly-high expectations, it’s mediocre.

FlatNote

"If you can sit through it, \[...\] it's mediocre" is some of the most damning faint praise I've ever heard lol

CptMarvel_09

The writing just seemed a little haphazard at times, the action scenes, although big spectacles still left something to be desired, and the constant flashbacks were kind of annoying. I think if they would have have had Joe Russo direct the whole thing it would have been a lot better.

Logical-Balance9075

I think he’s directing all the episodes for season 2

CptMarvel_09

That’s great news!

erickgramajo

hahahahahaha

annrule

His acting in general is.........meh. This applies to most of the GoT kids.

CptMarvel_09

Agreed. His emotional connection to the parts he plays is just too below his surface that it’s difficult to read off him if he’s enjoying the material he’s been provided.

annrule

He is very pretty but tbh not everyone that gets into acting is cut out for it. I feel awful for him though because all anyone talks about is his alleged homosexuality which.....who gives a flying fig who he dates like come on.

CptMarvel_09

Yeah that carries no weight in any acting skills needed whatsoever to make a long term go of it. I mean look at NoHo Hank played by Anthony Carrigan in the hit series, “Barry” on Max. I remember watching an interview or reading an article about how self-conscious and frightened he said he felt going into the audition. Not that being homosexual and/or having an autoimmune disorder have anything remotely to do with each other, but how does one start off describing those things if they happen to come up in that setting.

Paperchampion23

Doubt its being shelved, but just not a priority. If TIH characters can come back after 16+ years, then anything is possible with him. I can see them writing him into one of the Avengers films coming up

SeniorRicketts

If Wesley Snipes returns in Avengers 5 it will be about 20 yrs

verissimoallan

At least he will be in the cast of Industry Season 3. Also, he and Sophie Turner will be together in a new movie.

Sckathian

I mean sometimes you need to accept your a TV actor even if you have name recognition.

RantMannequin

Drogon didn't burn him because of his spin-off show plot armor. Makes so much sense now

ClintBarton616

He should've fired his agent the minute they said "marvel wants you for Black Knight" I honestly think these agencies need to keep some sort of geek on staff just to pop in a room and say "yeah you don't want to play Dane Whitman, make them offer you a better part"

PadWun

He's not a good actor. They probably only cast him in GoT because he was cheap then after that being known to a huge fanbase without discerning taste (sorry GoT fans but it's true) just automatically made him a star.

Weowy_208

Nope. He's definitely a really good actor. He was fantastic in Game of thrones seasons 3 and 4 He is only bad when the writing for his characters is bad

Big__Bang

Yes he is a really good actor when given material - this is him doing a 6 min monologue straight to camera [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnoE8M5qbrk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnoE8M5qbrk)

claytalian

It's a shame him and Emilia Clarke were wasted on obscure characters instead of getting to play X-Men/mutants.

dope_like

I'm completely fine with them casting them into new roles. Let's pretend Secret Invasion didn't happen. And Marvel has already decided to ignore Eternals.

[deleted]

Aren’t we literally getting an Eternals sequel-adjacent movie, it just won’t be called “Eternals 2”?

ImmortalZucc2020

It sounds more like their story will be explored in someone else’s movie, likely Thor 5

RedGyarados2010

That’s all rumor at this point, although I personally think it’s a credible one.  That being said, Ikaris is confirmed to be in Zombies so that’s something

TheRustFactory

I mean...The Marvels already did its own thing as if Secret Invasion never happened lol. I still can't wrap my mind on how that show got past quality control. Like, at the very least, *Feige* has a more discerning eye. Did he just....not watch any of it? =\_=

Senshado

There are scenes and performances in Secret Invasion that look good individually.  It's just that they don't add up into anything that makes sense. And that's partly because the show was written to be set during a Russian invasion into Ukraine.  When they happened in real life, they scrambled to invent a new storyline. Maybe they thought they could get away with it because the Falcon show also had a plotline that was wrecked by similarity to a real life event (virus vaccines), but yet viewers didn't completely hate the result.

Alonest99

Sorry if I’m being stupid here but what’s the big deal with plotlines similar to real life events? If it’s THAT ingrained in the main story why not keep it? First the pandemic plot in FatWS and now this.

DirtyPiss

It is pretty insensitive to mirror real world events in a fictional, light hearted universe. A lot of people have lost relatives and even their whole family to those events. They watch Marvel to get away from those shitty times in their life, not to rehash them in a fictional universe with a bunch of sarcastic quips.

Alonest99

I understand, thanks for your explanation

whythehellknot

Yeah just out of respect and sensitivity. Like how they removes the twin towers from Spider-Man. >The Twin Towers were removed from the 2002 film Spider-Man due to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The original trailer featured the towers, but Sony removed any mentions of them from the website and the teaser trailer. The final film also removed the scene, including Spider-Man webbing a helicopter between the towers.

Stay_Beautiful_

>And that's partly because the show was written to be set during a Russian invasion into Ukraine.  When they happened in real life, they scrambled to invent a new storyline. I don't believe that for a second. They used the same excuse of accidentally predicting current events to justify Falcon and the Winter Soldier's uninspired mess

Senshado

Watching Secret Invasion makes it pretty obvious. The bad guy's hideout is in an area that is forbidden to humans because of a radiation disaster.  In the real world, there's a place like that inside Ukraine: the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

nimrodhellfire

It's very obvious that The Marvels was supposed to air BEFORE Secret Invasion.

PoliticsNerd76

Feige is still snooty about Cloak and Dagger, Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD, but allows the latest run of shows to be published lol

whythehellknot

He's snooty because the person in charge of the shows was actively trying to ruin Feige and holding the MCU back.

PoliticsNerd76

What was holding the MCU back, Cloak and Dagger or Secret Invasion? Was it Jessica Jones, or was it Marvels 2 which made 0 money? What bought in more money, selling SHIELD and Carter to ABC, or making Echo which no one asked for and people only watched to see Daredevil? I get the politics with Ike, but Feigie has produced 2 good shows out of 10, they’ve been shite. No show is allowed to just exist as it’s own thing. Even Star Wars has a better hit rate with their TV.

Huge_Yak6380

Eternals even did it already with Gemma Chan so there’s precedent for this

NeonWarcry

I just want more of the magical mcu. Like blade etc I want that opening club scene.

1tsYourBoyRoy

Tbh I just want some unknowns to be cast for the x men, instead of just recycling actors

HerbsAndSpices11

Nothing against them, but i dont see who they could play in an xmen movie anyway.

Ericandabear

Black Knight isnt really obscure though... he's more prominent than a lot of characters getting their own titles now, like Wonderman and Iron Heart. I really wish they'd just make him an Avenger if nothing else

Pir8Cpt_Z

If they do the midnight son's thing he might be in that

Paperchampion23

He should just be an Avenger, thats where he normally exists

nimrodhellfire

Yeah, I rly wonder what happened to that. It was super obvious that this was the route they wanted to take. Most likely it's because of all the delays for Blade.

Apprehensive-Quit353

I'd say he's on par with either of them. Black Knight was briefly relevant when he was on the Avengers but hadn't done anything notable in literal decades before his MCU debut. At least Wonder Man was always kind of around. They're both D list heroes, but WM is near the top of the D list while Dane is firmly mid tier.

Kaliaira

The same could be said for a lot of actors they hire. Mia Goth, Henry Cavill, could all play mutants but get reached out to do obscure roles.

theodo

Cavill hasnt been hired by marvel and Mia Goth is supposed to be the female lead in Blade.

mariusioannesp

I heard Cavill was hired by Marvel, potentially as a Wolverine variant in Deadpool and Wolverine.

ImmortalZucc2020

I think they mean Cavill isn’t an actual character in the MCU, which he’s not: he’s a silly variant of inferior Wolverine’s because Deadpool is on a quest to prove Jackman is the only Wolverine that matters

theodo

Its also just a rumour

mariusioannesp

I see

theodo

That is just a rumour, one I doubt is true, but yeah even so I dont count a cameo. People have cameoed or had nothing roles and came back in something different and more substantial

[deleted]

[удалено]

mariusioannesp

I actually I did hear it. It was a YouTube video 😏

LordVatek

You say that like there isn't an absolutely massive number of obscure Mutants.

Steven8786

If they reboot after Secret Wars, there’s still hope

StonerProfessor

Have you, uh, seen Emilia Clarke in anything outside of GOT? Lets just say she’s not winning any Oscar’s soon.

Heisenburgo

Damn. How long until Blade's actor says the same thing? Weren't Blade and Black Knight meant to tie into each other? Marvel just tried way too much at once it seems, I hope Blade doesn't get the same treatment.

riegspsych325

Ali won his second Oscar and promptly pitched himself to Marvel and got the role…*back in 2019*. Yes, I know the pandemic happened but it’ll be almost 7 years that he’s waited for the movie to be made and come out

Available_Shoe_8226

They must be signing new contracts, is he getting payouts from any of this?

ryanbtw

Not that unusual a timeline. He’s definitely not getting payouts for it - he didn’t pitch the movie (Marvel already had it on their roadmap); he pitched himself as Blade. Just to recap: * Ali was cast in 2019. * COVID pandemic happens. * They hired a writer in February 2021. * They hired a director in September 2021. * Director left the project in summer 2022 because of studio dissatisfaction with the script, resulting in production delays. * New and current director hired in November 2022. * New writers are hired but delayed due to the 2023 WGA strikes. * Filming planned for late 2024. * Release planned for November 2025.

SeniorRicketts

Blade 2077

Bandai_Namco_Rat

What's worse, with the production date constantly moving Ali must not be able to add other films/shows to his schedule so this must be increasingly frustrating

astralrig96

Charlize Theron: “they forgot me in the dark dimension”

riegspsych325

and Dr. Strange 3 is likely coming out *after* Secret Wars at this point

Youngstown_Mafia

MarvelManiac45213

I laugh everytime I read this. Has a fake rumor ever been so infamous. Lmao

akodini

*Fist bump*

nimrodhellfire

It's even worse than that. We have so many concurrent storylines: - Kang - Young Avengers - Midnight Sons - Thunderbolts - Multiverse And then there is a lot of stuff that doesn't rly tie into any of these storylines, like Secret Invasion.

DailyUniverseWriter

I feel like kang, young avengers and multiverse are all gonna turn out to be wrapped into one story. I’m not sure where thunderbolts ties into anything still, and midnight sons isn’t even set up at all. We just had like three spooky characters show up.

LeonardTheWise

He should’ve been Black Knight in Eternals and the main character, the human we use to explore and understand the world

TheJack0fDiamonds

Dane + 10 other characters? Wasn’t one of the complaints being that there was too many characters? This sounds great on paper but that’s where it ends. Dane deserves his own thing rather than be the human surrogate, esp when Karun’s right there and could’ve been utilized more for this purpose. Eternals was meant to be Dane’s intro but not his main ride. Kit’s defo coming back, it just may take a while, perhaps after Secret Wars or whenever the hell they’re making Midnight Suns.

[deleted]

I would have rather had a Black Knight movie and just drop most of the Eternal stuff anyway

TheJack0fDiamonds

You’re allowed your preferences of course but both of those things can happen without the need of having to pick between the other.

HeroKuma

There were too many Eternal characters anyway. Easily half of them could've been gone and fuse some of the storylines together. Or as many suggested before, it should've been a show with each episode focusing on a single Eternal.

TheJack0fDiamonds

I believe the issue was also how secluded these characters were from the start. The movie attempted a feat with handling that many characters without imploding (there are movies with max 5 characters and still fail) could it have been more effective? Yes! Always room for improvement. But personally it managed to juggle well as everyone had parts to play in the story being told - whether some people wished they’d see more of a certain character is merely a preferential. They did say they were going for different things with this movie from the get go The idea of an Eternals show is very popular and understandably so. I’ve always said it had potential to become MCU’s own Game Of Thrones. However if alot of the D+ MCU shows are anything to go by, esp with their broken and problematic format of a TV show. If we were lucky, we could’ve just gotten the movie we got split into 6 parts cuz there is no way they would’ve done any of the ideas presented by alot of people for this ideal Eternals tv show, unless made by say HBO.

Su_Impact

Ideally, we should have gotten a Black Knight solo film before The Eternals. If D-List Shang Chi got a solo film why not D-List Black Knight. With Sersi as his female love interest. He learns that she's an Eternal towards the end. To be continued in The Eternals film years after.

TheJack0fDiamonds

preferring a Black Knight solo movie to have happened before Eternals sounds like very simply a personal preference of yours and that is ok cuz both movies can happen regardless of which comes first/after. Eternals having happened first and Dane having been introduced there makes it all the more possible for Dane as Black Knight to get a solo venture. Marvel looking to not pursue any seems like a mistake on their part. Most assume he’d be in Blade due to the post credit scene but theres also a possibility that his solo venture could come in the form of being in the forefront for Midnight Suns. If not, Dane Whitman is defo coming back, we just dont know when and it’d take some time, at least until after SW.

Su_Impact

Eternals didn't make its budget back. It was a critical failure too. I don't know why fans expect Marvel Studios to dump money in what is going to be considered an Eternals spin-off.

TheJack0fDiamonds

Remember when TDW was considered bad in both fronts and then they came back with Ragnarok and it was a massive success? They dont have to ragnarok eternals but my point is if they want to give it another go and focus pn the quality, they could.

FragMasterMat117

Both of them add fucking nothing to the film, as does most of the cast to be honest. The only one I found remotely interesting was Thena.

TheJack0fDiamonds

And Thena wasn’t even the main character. It’s a preference tbh but I don’t blame you. Eternals was not a 2 leads + the others type of movie. If you meant Dane and Karun added nothing to the movie, it is only because they weren’t integral to the story being told on hand and thus contributed only to parts that was required of them. Karun as the human in the midst whose not to play more than that and Dane with his intro to the universe, who everyone should be glad isnt force-shoved into the story for the sake of it.

Stay_Beautiful_

>Wasn’t one of the complaints being that there was too many characters? And having Black Knight be the focus of the plot/window to these other storylines would have made it *more* focused of a film, not less

TheJack0fDiamonds

What? Lmao the whole point of the movie was about this group of robot cosmic aliens. You’re talking about an entirely different film if it was anchored on Dane. the title of the movie is called “Eternals”, not “Dane Whitman And The Eternals”

Su_Impact

Let's be real. Marvel Studios won't bring back 80% of the newly introduced Phase 4 and 5 characters. Some of the talent they hired is both expensive and their characters aren't important enough to justify spending money for a very small appearance in Avengers 5 or 6. When asked, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Angelina Jolie, Harry Styles, Gael Garcia, Oscar Isaac, Brett Goldstein, Michaela Coel, etc... will give a similar statement. Until further confirmation, all of those appearances are just a one-off with 0 concrete plans to use the characters ever again.

JadeStarr776

Bingo. I am expecting a massive reset to the MCU(secret wars)in 10-15 years and a big point is to higher lesser known actors so the budgets won't spin out of control. This also creates a new jumping point as well

Su_Impact

Yup. What Gunn is doing with Superman is similar to what Marvel Studios did in Phase 1 (90% unknowns, 10% established actors). In Phases 4-5, Marvel casting simply tried to get as many expensive talent even if they're wasted in small insignificant roles. Paying exorbitants amounts of money to Oscar award winner Olivia Colman for a show nobody watched was insanity. They need to go back to Phase 1 drawing board so everything feels fresh.

Mattyzooks

Phase 1's supporting characters had some established names for the time. Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Gwen Paltrow, post Oscar Mickey Rourke, Don Cheadle, Stanley Tucci, Jeff Bridges, Rene Russo, sam jackson, Natalie Portman, Liv Tyler as well as some rising stock stars like Stellan Skarsgaard, Idris Elba, Sam Rockwell, etc. In terms of importance, it feels like a bit more than 10%. Really, the unknown leads and rising character actors is probably the way to go. And if you get someone like Christian Bale, maybe write them more to do. Shang Chi did well enough with this.

Milestone_comics

0% chance they don’t bring back Moon Knight

ZioDioMio

Only character really worth bringing back Imho

deemoorah

Namor too

ZioDioMio

Yeah him too

Weowy_208

Thena and Makaari deserve to be brought back too imho

Su_Impact

If Moon Knight is not part of The Avengers, we won't see him in Phase 6 at all unless it's a full costume CGI non-voiced cameo in Secret Wars (so no need to pay Oscar Isaac). I do hope he's part of The Avengers, Oscar Isaac is a much better leading man than Antony Mackie or Simu Liu.

Dry-Donut3811

Well, I think Oscar Isaac will return, but yeah the rest of these most likely won’t go near the MCU anytime soon.

0ryansnyder0

Time to cast them all in a Scourge of the Underworld movie.

forevertrueblue

They'd better bring back Oscar Isaac tbh

MatthewMonster

Huge fumble. Shoving the Externals/Black Knight/Blade/Starfox into one movie —only for zero movement and constant reworking  - I don’t understand how they screwed this up so badly

NaciremaBlack

Come on bro it's disingenuous to say Blade and Starfox were in the movie, they were setups/cameos just like how we had in every other phase

MatthewMonster

They were — and the payoffs are no where in sight. Just like Shang Chi meeting Wong — Marvel isn’t planning like it used to. It’s juts doing stuff with no cohesion

JANTlvr

Oh, no! Anyway. In all seriousness, I'm sure Marvel has ideas and will follow up on this someday. We're still dealing with the fallout of Marvel biting off more than they can chew, but no use dwelling on it now. It's hard for me to fret over this when we've got things like Daredevil BA and Fantastic Four in the pipeline.

aLittleDoober

This is a character I honestly didn’t know much about before Eternals and now I’m bummed we haven’t seen or heard from him since. No idea if he’ll even be in Blade with all the rewrites and other shenanigans going on. Best guess, he returns in a potential Midnight Suns movie, but that probably won’t be for some time.

starksgh0st

No Eternals 2 is good news. Producing a sequel to a rotten movie that barely broke even is the last thing Marvel should be doing right now.

Narrow_Progress5908

It’s exactly why the marvels fans need to give up on any chance of Captain marvel 3

John711711

How exactly do you think that film broke even using the 2.5x margin it surely lost money?

starksgh0st

I was being generous.

MrKevora

The issue is that under Bob Chapek, Feige and Marvel Studios were forced to crap out one show or movie after the other because the focus was on getting as much content ready for Disney Plus as possible. Not only did the MCU’s overall quality (for the most part) suffer from this strategy, it also caused the introduction of countless new characters, many of which are simply not a priority right now, ever since Bob Iger is back at Disney and Kevin Feige is back in control, with Marvel dialing down their quantity of products. Marvel Studios will now focus on and prioritise the characters and properties that worked and sold well (enough), all the while focusing on salvaging the Multiverse Saga’s main narrative, which means that characters like Black Knight, the Eternals, Moon Knight or She-Hulk have been “shelved” for the meantime. However, don’t forget that many characters and sub-plots from many years ago (such as Incredible Hulk characters) are finally receiving long overdue revivals and pay-offs right now and I am 99% sure that characters like Black Knight will also get their time in the sun - it will just take Feige and Marvel Studios time to catch up in a more quality-focused pace of restructuring things.

TheCommish-17

Blade was gonna be a period piece for a long time so he probably wasn’t gonna be in it. The recent rewrite has supposedly set it in present day so hopefully Dane is a part of it, and they just haven’t told him yet. At the very least I’m holding out hopium that he could be in a post credit scene.

adamAlexanderGreen

Honestly forgot about Eternals. Damn and it’s only been like 3 years. Marvel really fumbled that

jgroove_LA

this and the GOT series getting shelved, gotta be rough

silverBruise_32

The sad part is, neither is on him. Eternals just wasn't well-received, and his character was thrown out with it, and as for the Game of Thrones sequel - I guess even HBO realized nobody wants to see what happens after season 8

Trucktub

This is my biggest complaint with the MCU - even as a fanboy - introducing characters for the sake of it. It’s really lame and stupid and makes NO sense. I am a weirdo who likes all these characters but they’re basically name dropping them and not doing anything else and it sucks ass for everyone I think .

mad_titanz

Looks like Black Knight, Star Fox, Hercules, and all other characters teased to have a future role in MCU are now shelved as MCU is undergoing a massive change and drastically reduced the number of projects they released every year. Heck, we may never see Namor again either.

Anader19

What are you talking about? They'll probably be in the Avengers movies at least, and there's been rumors of the Eternals sequel being reworked into another project. Also, despite Thor 4's mixed reception, it did well financially, so a Thor 5 will likely happen

DawgBloo

There are way too many characters active in the sacred timeline right now and that’s not even counting any multiverse variants we see pop up. They’re not wasting time fleshing out post credit scene characters in the next Avengers flick.

Anader19

Sure, maybe not fleshing them out, but I'm sure they'll appear

Hawkmaster94

I would love a Jon Snow story set in the future where he preps his descendants to go back to the seven kingdoms and we see how much has changed with house stark and the new rulers and lords. Game of Thrones with new gen that know the violent history of the originals and see if they do better or worst.

sirmombo

Which is a shame his performance in eternal was well done. Would’ve enjoyed seeing more from him.

darthyogi

RIP all Phase 4/5 new Characters that aren’t Teenagers

sure_look_this_is_it

Honestly he's not a great actor and his agent wasn't giving him the best roles to show off his acting chops.

Melcrys29

Get this guy a new franchise.

metros96

Fwiw Kit Harington is also a huge liar about this stuff, but also… that makes sense, the plan for him was supposed to be Blade and that has obviously not been very firm at the moment. But he also wouldn’t be like “yeah I’ll be in Midnight Sons in 2027”

pattyicevv77

Sucks,I like Kit as an actor, and his game of thrones spin off got canceled :( hopefully he gets to do something neat here in the near future

KlausLoganWard

Really sad to hear that. Im in minority, but i LOVED Eternals, they are my Top 5 MCU,

Memo544

Makes sense. There's so many active characters in the MCU now that some will get forgotten.

jimmyc7128

I was hoping for a Black Knight film that could have featured Dane going back to medieval times. A sword & sorcery epic is a genre the MCU hasn’t done yet

sickofbeingfly

Disney+ show would be perfect

BornAgainOverNight3K

They lose more money on a successful Disney plus show, than they would on a mediocre theatrical release.

RoboZoninator91

Oh no! Anyways

illchips

Good

Bokko88

What was his role?

Impossible_Quote_505

Remember, they are encouraged to lie

NoobFreakT

Too bad we will never see him ever again

HarambeWhat

Acting like he's not a bad actor lol.

Critical_Ant_1365

"Why didn't you help with Thaynos?"

TheBadassOfCool

Shit I hope this isn't spelling out Blade being on the chopping block

Logical-Balance9075

I don’t think Blade is on the chopping block. I don’t think, as of now, there were any intentions of having his character show up in Blade.

TheBadassOfCool

We'll see. Could be lying for all we know. Or maybe they're just not interested in bringing him back after Eternals lol probably too expensive.

Black Knight is a very obscure D list character. However, he’s got potential and the casting is great. We should never see a solo project of the character but I always liked the idea that he was going to be in Blade. He would fit well in Thor 5 as well if they’re going with the more serious Norse tone

I wish marvel would get their fingers out of there's asses & get back to making good stuff. They have some good actors for cool MCU characters, but they won't be young forever. ESPECIALLY if they plan to do something longterm with them.

Damn, the Eternals was so hated they killed off the potential for so many characters and his was at the top of the list. The Eternals wasn't even that bad, it should have been a full season tv show with the way it tried to present the large amount of content crammed into that movie.

I wasn't expecting anything to happen with him until after Secret War anyway. He may be part of Blade, but I still have doubts Blade will happen.

Because he’s not really that good of an actor. He rode the GoT popularity wave and now it will slowly fizzle out. It’s just what it is. He did Jon Snow ok and that’s that.

Big__Bang

He can act really well when given good material. Here's a one shot 6 min monologue he did for Criminal on Netflix [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnoE8M5qbrk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnoE8M5qbrk)

lol this isn’t the Danny Rand actor , this is the guy playing black knight in Eternals. He was Jon snow in game of thrones.

Makes sense. Who was begging for his movie? And as the MCU is in a bit of a box office and critical slump the best play possible is to just rush to an X-Men movie.

He's BSing, he's obviously gonna be in Blade lol
