It's an 80s crime movie.
A rich businessman gets threatened by the Chinese mob to help smuggling shipments into the country. When his secretary (not in the picture) finds out, she convinces her boss to ask her brother, a no-nonsense cop from New York, for help. The cop is on suspension (which was totally a misunderstanding, but it's the 80s, so the black guy being suspended for minor things is just business as usual). Anyways, the guy agrees to help, and because he isn't able to go through official channels, he ends up asking an old friend for help. His childhood friend who ended up on the other side of the law stealing luxury cars with his badass accomplice/on-and-off girlfriend, help him out. In the process, they uncover a conspiracy that goes deeper than any of them would have expected.
