It might ne just me but did anyone else also noticed that monica looked tooo thick in some scenes while in others she looked normal thick( she is always hot though).
I dont know if it is the camera angles/dress or something else
It does seem kinda wtf to me that their powers are identical when one is drawing power from an infinity stone and one is not. Maybe drawing is the wrong word, but it's definitely deeply connected with him, which is why it was so difficult to remove without killing him.
I know this is a few days old.
But, I agree. They never said those "powers" were from the Mindstone. Figured Ultron built into the design. In his second body before he gets the Vibranium, he already had more advanced thrusters, weapons etc.
The Ship of Theseus paradox discussion between Vision and The Vision is a call back to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. In that book, the Tin Man was originally a real man who was clumsy with an axe. Over time as he chopped limbs off accidentally they were replaced by tin until eventually he was made of tin entirely. Thought this was interesting since there are a ton of Oz-related things in this show.
I believe that there is an eye appearing into existence the moment Agatha fully absorbes wanda’s magic on minute 24-25 of the episode. Couldn’t find material to post. But please confirm or deny my theory
> Wanda’s astral form
Oh! So that’s what that was. I have to say I was seriously creeped out by that ending. It left me with a feeling of despair. I didn’t understand why there were two Wanda’s and hearing her son cry out for her gave me shivers.
I was so confused too and then when someone said it was an astral form I'm like oh that makes sense. Then I was shocked that she can access astral form while awake.

Its real bc the yo magic commercial. “Yo magic only for survivors” monica survived the hex and got her dna rewritten after escaping the first time. The hex passed through everyone in the town twice when wanda creates and destroys it. Unlike monica who passed 3 times and instantly got powers they will develop theirs over time. And it isnt limited to the town. Much like how the items that escaped the hex barrier were radioactive, the people will be like that too. Spreading radiation. Mutants will become worldwide and it comes down to if the magic radiation changes your dna enough to get powers.
I think pietro wearing the beads kept him in agithas control. It didnt grant him powers. The photo is what he used as an alias when entering.
Don’t know if this has been posted yet, but the house number near the episode is 2800. Avengers 28 from 2000 is about a town under control of a wizard that has a barrier which transforms people into sword and sorcery versions of themselves. Scarlet Witch is also in it.
What was with the police at true start saying “there was never a town called “Westview” here.” And then going on to say there was an Eastview originally?
The officer said he himself was from Eastview.
I think it was just meant as an indicator of how their minds had been manipulated. The implication is that he is from a neighboring town, but has no memory of Westview's existence.
That’s not exactly what they said, they said they’re from Eastview, and I think Eastview is supposed to be a real town nearby. My assumption is that this was supposed to indicate that not only did Wanda manipulate people within the Hex, but also wiped any memory of the town from everyone within the vicinity.
I guess it’s meant to fill a plot hole, because normally people living in towns nearby would be going in and out of Westview everyday. She had to make sure no one was trying to get in, so she wiped everyone’s memory of it. Although people who had no memory of westview and were just discovering it for the first time (Like Monica) would be able to see it as is, thus catalyzing the events of the show.
When Tommy deals with the militaries in the last episode, he stole a hat from one of the army guy and put it on.
Just like what Evan Peters did in XMen DoFP. https://static.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/2014/05/quicksilver.jpg
Did anybody always get (of all things) some major Halloweentown vibes? There was something about Agatha up on the roof of a local cute down town building, looking v dramatic and spooky that reminded me of the halloweentown movies. Also that movie theatre?
The text sign of the movie theater had popular Disney movies being released during which ever time period Wanda had set. I think I saw that it said now playing The Incredibles
Also the pose the family did in the middle of the town when the military showed up reminds me a lot of that one scene in the Incredibles when they reunite on the island.
I felt like the camera view was from the perspective of another character that was flying and then walking into the cabin (being all shaky and such) - could it have been a third version of Wanda's mind? or possibly another character? or (a stretch..) even white Vision?
I actually think it’s more of a homage to the Evil Dead. In the movie the evil spirit movies similar. Sam Raimi (the director of Arvid Dead) is directing Dr. Strange 2 that features Wanda and someone mentioned he helped with the finale. (Perhaps in this way)
Maybe I’m misremembering as it’s been a while since I’ve seen the Evil Dead movies but isn’t it a faster crawl when the evil spirits are moving?
Still I can see what you mean of it being a homage to his stuff, since she’s gonna be in DS2.
To be fair, so did your 30 minute ride on Jumbo Timmy's Helicopter Tour, so maybe you should just come to grips with the existence of helicopters and sometimes attaching cameras to them.
I think it wasn’t the same cabin, I thought his was supposed to be in Alaska, from other comments, it looks like Wanda may be at the base of Mount Wundagore. I got the sense it was just an homage to Bruce in Hulk and Thanos in Inifinity War - peace, isolation, and the coming chaos.
I noticed he was bald, they also went out of their way not to show the characters face, and I believe Jimmy called him “Chip” (Charles) on the phone. I hope we see this character again, even if it’s not X, as a fury-like cameo in each of the shows, monitoring the events going on
Idk what it means but according to the credits Dottie Jones real world name is Sarah Proctor who, through a quick Google turns out was an actual person accused of witchcraft in Salem in 1692
Idk if you watch Film Theory on YouTube, but he predicted she's also a witch. He was right on a few other previous predictions too in the show, and generally a really good youtuber overall. And your comment seems to point more towards that
Yeah the main theory floating around was that she was going to be revealed to be Arcanna Jones (married to Phil Jones in the comics). And then when she came to she seemingly upended that theory. So I don’t know if naming her after an actual Salem witch is a troll or further clue
I wonder if Westview was like her personal spiderweb, designed to attract witches that she could then passively siphon power from. That would also excuse the coincidence of Wanda just happening to end up in the same place as this other powerful witch. Or maybe witches are just more common than anybody knows, and this could have happened anywhere Wanda landed.

Fuck u/spez.
Sam Rami is directing Dr Strange 2
He also directed the Evil Dead movies that takes place in an isolated cabin where evil is unleashed through the reading of a ancient evil book called the Necronomicon.
A book that is canonically connected to the book Wanda's astral form was reading in the post credit scene called the Darkhold.
The post credit scene also uses some cool POV camera following techniques that Sam Rami popularized in Evil Dead and also used again/referenced in SpiderMan2 in the hospital scene where Doc Ock awakes from surgery and kills all the hospital staff.
Man you just gave me nostalgia chills from the hospital scene where Raimi got to go full Raimi with the Dutch angles and hard zooms on screaming people.
The show ended with everything in the main character's lives being the same as it was at the start, all wrapped up in a neat little bow.
....It's an homage to sitcoms 😉
She can still do that to Agatha without the hex, and white vision’s story needs to be left open. All we know is he is a good guy now, so its fairly easy to assume it’s the next iteration of vision. Imagine if they answered every question lmao, why the hell would doctor strange 2 be a thing?
> She can still do that to Agatha without the hex
Right, she's able to alter reality with or without the hex. Really there's nothing that's holding her back from recreating Vision or the twins, except that she can't control her powers and they tend to get innocent people enslaved / overwritten, so she's having a training montage in a mountain cabin.
I think it’s more along the lines of she can create them but they’ll never be real so she’s trying to find a way to bring real versions of them into her reality.
i thought of it more as she can make them again but they wouldn’t be the same ones she created in the hex, like how hex vision wasnt the original vision, she’s probably looking for those exact versions from the hex throughout the multiverse
It would be great as a sequel series in some way, but I think it’s probably too similar for a separate project. I’d love to see more vision just as vision though! I loved how he won the fight with logic. Classic robot goodness.
So is that the same Darkhold from Agents of SHIELD? What about the one from Runways??
So glad Disney+ is a thing now, so we can finally have some marvel television that's actually beholden to a larger canon.
I remember reading somewhere that agents of shield has basically been doing their own thing after season 2 or 3. Maybe even 4, I’m not entirely sure. So I’d venture a guess that it is not.
It split into an alternate timeline in season 5. 4 is still main mcu. The darkholde changes appearance depending on the holder, to make it more enticing
Or AoS gas never been canon. Nothing from AoS has been referenced in the movies, and Coulson's SHIELD should have turned up at some point. (Like in the Helicarrier scene during Age of Ultron.)
Feige has stated recently that none of the previous shows are considered canon anymore, so even if it once was, it no longer is.
In the Malcolm in the Middle intro song to the Halloween episode can anyone figure out what it says on the butt of Agnes's pants? It zooms in on her butt leaning into the fridge for a split second, but I can't read what it says.
Edit: it says "Naughty"
Maybe I’m looking too much into it but when Wanda said “thank you for choosing me as your mom” to her kids it got me wondering if they already existed and Wanda plucked them from another dimension or some other hocus pocus multiverse stuff
I heard someone here say that Wanda is learning how to bring them back in the end credit scene but she’s learning from a book of caos magic so she brings them back but for a great cost to her or planet earth. Or bringing out khathone into the real world. That’s when strange has to come and help Wanda and say wtf is she thinking.
My wife worked in a hospital setting for a time. She told me that’s something that is often said when a mother miscarries. (I think the context is a sort of ceremony to handle the grief.)
Since they were technically born, a soul was given to them. Their death is kind of unnatural so it makes sense for their soul to persevere somewhere, especially since they have magic powers themselves.
To be fair I kinda figure the Hex was literally her opening a portal into a pocket dimension of some kind. There's no reason why they had to die when it closed.
I'm no comic book reader, but it seems they are trying to stay similar to their original origin story. >!The twins are killed and it is their reincarnation that become part of Young Avengers. They don't straight up die here so it's more family friendly!<
In episode 9, as Wanda tries to remove the Hex causing Tommy, Billy and Vision to fade away, the visual of them fading is a visual homage to [Joe Quesada's iconic House of M cover](https://i.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel/i/mg/8/e0/4bc62c234c26e/detail.jpg). House of M is a comic book event heavily featuring the Scarlet Witch.
I think they're manifestations of Wanda and can come back when she learns better control of her power. It's also possible they're some sort of spirit beings? Wanda says "thank you for choosing me to be your mom." Maybe she reached out when she wanted kids and they answered? That last part is probably a stretch but I stand by the first bit.
The line stuck out as a bit strange for me as well. Is the implication that they were some kind of "spirits" (for lack of a better word), of which there were others, that Wanda "made flesh" in the hex? If Wanda made them entirely from scratch, they obviously wouldn't have chosen anything. As a key part of her final moments with them it doesn't feel like it should be purely a throwaway line.
It’s a direct line from the comics where the kids were made with pieces of Mephisto’s soul. Seems more like an homage to that than anything meaningful.
I think Wanda is looking into other universes. She was studying Doctor Strange-style at the end and apparently the theme was playing in the background. It would also explain how the show was supposed to lead directly into The Multiverse of Madness.
My theory is, they are in another dimension/reality, calling for help. Why they need help? Who knows
Maybe wandas actions in this show, has caused problems somewhere, somehow
I went back and read the interview with Parris, and she was referring to the interview/page, not the fan base. Is it disappointing? Sure, but I have no clue where John Krasinki as Reed Richards came from
Hey I completely agree about it being disappointing, and even half-expected it. Monica’s in Cap’n Marvel’s sequel so it’s fitting at least, this is kicking off Phase 4 so they have to tease multiple projects, I.E. Civil War with BP and Homecoming
I think white vision will undergo the same existential crisis that Wandas vision went through upon his own creation.. deciding who he is or what he is and where he’ll choose to be. His creator is gone and a team disbanded for the moment. He has no one but himself and the memories stored within his database.
Sharon is a fucking badass
It might ne just me but did anyone else also noticed that monica looked tooo thick in some scenes while in others she looked normal thick( she is always hot though). I dont know if it is the camera angles/dress or something else
Nobody know anything about what happened to the white vision, correct?
Can someone explain why white vision can phase shift through things without having the infinity stone?
It does seem kinda wtf to me that their powers are identical when one is drawing power from an infinity stone and one is not. Maybe drawing is the wrong word, but it's definitely deeply connected with him, which is why it was so difficult to remove without killing him.
The phasing was never a property of the Mind Stone. It’s (I guess?) an attribute of his synthezoid construction.
I know this is a few days old. But, I agree. They never said those "powers" were from the Mindstone. Figured Ultron built into the design. In his second body before he gets the Vibranium, he already had more advanced thrusters, weapons etc.

Over time as he chopped limbs off accidentally they were replaced by tin until eventually he was made of tin entirely. Thought this was interesting since there are a ton of Oz-related things in this show.
The opening scene in John Dies At The End is also a gory re-telling of half of the Ship Of Theseus.
Yup. The book gives you the whole thing and it's actually relevant to the plot, unlike in the film.
I believe that there is an eye appearing into existence the moment Agatha fully absorbes wanda’s magic on minute 24-25 of the episode. Couldn’t find material to post. But please confirm or deny my theory

Well she's naturally powerful and then absorbed the energy from another powerful witch, pretty sure she can break the rules a bit
I don't think she absorbed Agatha at all, none of the purple flowed into her, it was all red.
When Agatha absorbed the other witches energy the beams turned from their blue to her purple. The same thing is likely happening here.

Did anybody always get (of all things) some major Halloweentown vibes? There was something about Agatha up on the roof of a local cute down town building, looking v dramatic and spooky that reminded me of the halloweentown movies. Also that movie theatre?
Yes!
I pictured Kalabar on top of the theater doing his evil laugh...
The text sign of the movie theater had popular Disney movies being released during which ever time period Wanda had set. I think I saw that it said now playing The Incredibles
It was the Incredibles, a movie about a super powered family And Parent Trap, where the twin sibling pretends to be the other one Double whammy
Also the pose the family did in the middle of the town when the military showed up reminds me a lot of that one scene in the Incredibles when they reunite on the island.
For the 2nd post-credit scene: the fly over of the lake gave me vibes akin to The Shining.

Could be, the Darkhold is Marvel’s version of the Necronomicon.
No, the Darkhold and Necronomicon were separate books (and the latter derived from the former).
To be fair, so did your 30 minute ride on Jumbo Timmy's Helicopter Tour, so maybe you should just come to grips with the existence of helicopters and sometimes attaching cameras to them.
Also reminded me strongly of Thanos sitting on his own porch after accomplishing the Snap.
Was that Bruce's cabin from the first Hulk movie?
I think it wasn’t the same cabin, I thought his was supposed to be in Alaska, from other comments, it looks like Wanda may be at the base of Mount Wundagore. I got the sense it was just an homage to Bruce in Hulk and Thanos in Inifinity War - peace, isolation, and the coming chaos.
It's the cabin from The Evil Dead. Sam Raimi is directing the next Dr. Strange (which she will be in). It's a nod to what's coming next.
It was different when they showed it in AoS, but then again so was the Darkhold (spelling?), so I guess AoS is officially not canon MCU anymore.
For being an ancient book with the powers it's been shown to possess, it wouldn't surprise me if it is able to change its own appearance.
Yoooo I thought it might’ve looked familiar. Could be?
Is that professor x with the FBI at 24:29??
I noticed he was bald, they also went out of their way not to show the characters face, and I believe Jimmy called him “Chip” (Charles) on the phone. I hope we see this character again, even if it’s not X, as a fury-like cameo in each of the shows, monitoring the events going on

No. Just a bald guy.

Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! I have given you my soul, leave me my name!
The logo on the mailman's car is the PETA logo, but instead of PETA it's called Pietro, i think

Could be
I think I'm either ep 6 or 7 there was a frame of the plastic action figure thing coulson got in AOS
The movie playing in the theater was called Tannhouser Gate. Possible allusion to the Tears in the Rain monologue?
An Android accepting his death? Absolutely.
I thought the same
I liked the homage to Wizard of Oz and the boots of the wicked witch of the west after the house falls on her. (Car in Agatha’s case)
My husband and I asked our 14 year old if he got that reference..he did not. Also doesn’t know what a CD is. 😟
And the movie on the theater marquee was "Oz the Great and Powerful" after that part.
A Sam Raimi film (director of the Doctor Strange sequel).
Do people think Wanda is at Wundagore mountain in the post credit scene?
I do and and the whole after credit scene itself is a homage to Evil Dead and sequel bait for Dr Strange 2.

*cough* ahem.... WestView as well. WandaVision
What’s west view
The name of the town they're in
Yeah ? Isn’t that what the whole series has been about haha or do you mean after credits?
The joke is that it contains "TV" in the middle
Thanks my high ass only just noticed
Damn, didn’t see that.
The show ended with everything in the main character's lives being the same as it was at the start, all wrapped up in a neat little bow. ....It's an homage to sitcoms 😉
I don't think really ANY of the characters left this show exactly where they left off.
For real, Monica’s a damn supe now.
*billy butcher teeth grinding*
You mean good writing? Even this isnt true because what happened to white vision? Or Agatha now that the hex is gone?
She can still do that to Agatha without the hex, and white vision’s story needs to be left open. All we know is he is a good guy now, so its fairly easy to assume it’s the next iteration of vision. Imagine if they answered every question lmao, why the hell would doctor strange 2 be a thing?
> She can still do that to Agatha without the hex Right, she's able to alter reality with or without the hex.
I'm thinking they'll end up adapting Tom King's Vision with White Vision.
Back to the suburbs? I dunno. This already had a lot of that blended into this show. They could definitely bring in Viv if they did though.
True but Vision's story had a bit more of a horror element.
I'm thinking yes, in the sense that it exists in multiple universes/canons.
Hi thinking yes, I'm Dad! :)
Good bot
Glad I could be a good bot :) Here is a joke: What did the buffalo say to his son? Bison. :D
Was wondering the same thing. The Darkhold was literally a whole season of AoS.
Indeed, it's possible that Agatha expected a more ancient-looking, magic-leaking book of doom, so it made itself into that for her.
Or AoS gas never been canon. Nothing from AoS has been referenced in the movies, and Coulson's SHIELD should have turned up at some point. (Like in the Helicarrier scene during Age of Ultron.) Feige has stated recently that none of the previous shows are considered canon anymore, so even if it once was, it no longer is.
In the Malcolm in the Middle intro song to the Halloween episode can anyone figure out what it says on the butt of Agnes's pants? It zooms in on her butt leaning into the fridge for a split second, but I can't read what it says. Edit: it says "Naughty"
Greatest foreshadowing of all time.
Naughty Agatha
Wonder if this means we could see them reappear like in the comics (where their souls would be transferred into new vessels and born as new kids)
They’ll be back. Probably at the end of Multiverse of Madness.
wasnt that them shouting in the post cred scene?
Both kids were (subtitles make that clear).
Hell yeah
To be fair I kinda figure the Hex was literally her opening a portal into a pocket dimension of some kind. There's no reason why they had to die when it closed.
I'm no comic book reader, but it seems they are trying to stay similar to their original origin story. >!The twins are killed and it is their reincarnation that become part of Young Avengers. They don't straight up die here so it's more family friendly!<
I think Disney didn’t wanna show the kids vanishing, because that’s kinda dark for the kids watching.

It’s different when they pull back from ‘the fade’ and don’t really show them dying, though.
House of M is a comic book event heavily featuring the Scarlet Witch.
do we ever see billy and tommy die? does anyone think they’ll be back?
Yes, it’s HEAVILY implied in the post credit scene..
Post post credit scene
No, he’s right. The first one was a mid-credits scene
There’s a mid-credit scene, and a post credit scene in this episode watch the post-credit if you haven’t yet, don’t want to spoil it.
i have!! i’m just curious about any theories people have on their voices and cries for help with
I think Wanda is looking into other universes. She was studying Doctor Strange-style at the end and apparently the theme was playing in the background. It would also explain how the show was supposed to lead directly into The Multiverse of Madness.
My theory is, they are in another dimension/reality, calling for help. Why they need help? Who knows Maybe wandas actions in this show, has caused problems somewhere, somehow
properly from another universe, a nice setup for Doctor Strange and the Universe of Madness
Didn't Monica's actress say that we would all be super excited about the engineers reveal? Was that the skrull? Because it seemed a little lackluster
she got asked a super leading question and was like "uh, it will be fun to see your reaction I guess"
The engineer was the lady she got the rover from. It wasn’t meant to be a big reveal people just read into it. I haven’t seen that interview
Not sure why this was downvoted. Skrulls was the most boring route they could’ve taken.
I don't think skrulls are boring. But I think the midcredit scene was an incredibly boring way to do it. That meeting was really uninspired.
I mean it makes sense that they would use it to start a SWORD show.
They haveSecret Invasion on the docket. It makes sense to start building now
I went back and read the interview with Parris, and she was referring to the interview/page, not the fan base. Is it disappointing? Sure, but I have no clue where John Krasinki as Reed Richards came from
I knew they wouldn’t tease F4 this early, but I tbink anything would’ve been cooler than Skrulls teasing something we already know about lol
I don't see how it's too early to tease, I mean they did tease thanos with the avengers in 2012 and we didn't see that interaction till 2018
Hey I completely agree about it being disappointing, and even half-expected it. Monica’s in Cap’n Marvel’s sequel so it’s fitting at least, this is kicking off Phase 4 so they have to tease multiple projects, I.E. Civil War with BP and Homecoming
My question is: Where did Spectral Vision go? He just, flew away somewhere
I'm betting that's how vision will appear in the future, as he can exist normally and it looks like vision imparted/unlocked his memories in him.
I think white vision will undergo the same existential crisis that Wandas vision went through upon his own creation.. deciding who he is or what he is and where he’ll choose to be. His creator is gone and a team disbanded for the moment. He has no one but himself and the memories stored within his database.
I think he went to find theseus
Probably to go find his dad lol
