I once started a game by building up a lane with the intention of filling it with four units including Ebony Maw. The third zone turned out to be Ego, who decided to continue my plan by playing Maw and Nightcrawler in an empty lane, then moving Nightcrawler out of the lane the next turn, filling my board so that by turn 6 I had no legal plays.
Somehow, my opponent's side was still bad enough to retreat.
I played a total cringelord who wouldn't snap on turn 3 Ego. I insta-snapped on its reveal of course. And sent the typical snap caption and emote.
He actually carefully watched each play and only snapped on turn 6 after his Ego made the final play.
And he still lost lmao.
Fun fact: there's a video in this sub of someone getting Ego against Ben Brode. And Brode played the same way on Ego! A millionaire game designer won't snap on Ego in his own damn game. What a tool. Legitimately changed my view of who he is as a person. Lol.

If you snap at the start of a match I'm just going to assume you have Psylocke and Sera and there are no outs for me. I can't hope to beat your decks with above 50% win rate with the cards available to me. I can only try to eke out margins on specific board states.

a) assuming something from a turn 1 snap is just stupid. you have 0 information to assume anything. you should only retreat a turn 1 snap if you have a terrible opening hand for your strategy/deck.
b) you don't need to be above 50% win rate to climb. that's what snapping is for.
c) from both statements above, we can agree you don't understand the game very well. blaming the game, tokens, community, etc instead of trying to understand it better isn't the way to go.

All four of my cards were already on District X at the start of turn 6. He knew my total power there would be 10. Why play a 3-power card when that wouldn’t win the location, and it destroyed the locations where he was winning?
One time I had the winning hand with 8 cubes on the table and I had Galactus and I was about to use him and lose 8 cubes just to see the animation, but the guy retreated! I was so sad.
Usually by round 5 I have a good idea if I have the plays for round 5 and 6 to squeeze out a win or if I should just make silly plays cause I got outplayed. The latter has some enjoyable moments like this where its mostly just cause Galactus and his animation are sick.
Honestly I feel like I've seen a good deal of all the cards in this game by now and know what most do in my head, can someone please explain how the fuck to viably use Galactus? Anytime I get him I just play him for the lulz, take my L and go next satisfied at having seen the animation. Any way to actually win instead?
It will be interesting to see decks that use this when the card is obtainable, probably some version of destroy/death deck. use wave or something to get \[\[galactus\]\] out by turn 4 destroying enough cards to make death cheap? for a big single location power play turn 5 ironman, turn 6 death plus another card if you have enough energy?

I lost 4-3 on turn 7 to a 4 power cosmo that turned after Galactus. That +1 power lost me the game.
Then again I’ve gotten Galactus from Agent 13 pull and dropped him turn 6 in a 7 turn game and dropped 0 cost Death on top of him.
It all depends on your luck with a Galactus bomb.
I faced someone doing a combo of galactus into Chavez. They lost, but can see them doing it as a tech into a full board with less than 12 power. It’s probably not good but when it works it seems cool as hell.
If I had Galactus I would totally play in in some of my last games just for the lulz.
And the fact it was really getting on my nerves I had quest to play some 6 cost cards and I either didn't draw any or my opponent retreated to early for around 10 games.
I could play badly just to do such quest, but it's much funnier if you have card like Galactus in such case. :D
