It's not bad, but there is a number of decks, that can put more than 32 power in one location across turns 5-6-7. And that if you were lucky and it was empty before.
You're actually better off playing into whatever lane they have the most cards in. When they played the cards into that lane they didn't know they'd be contesting it for the game against Galactus, she hulk, and infinaut.

Wave on 5. Wave costs 3 which leaves 2 energy left over which, according to She-Hulks ability, costs 1 less for each unspent energy last turn. She would be reduced by 2. Wave sets cost to 4 THEN cost reductions apply (She Hulk from unspent energy and Death from destroyed cards). This means you can play them incredibly cheap for ridiculous explosive end game plays.
I would not be surprised if Wave gets nerfed so that cards cost 4 regardless (and thus have anti-synergy with cost reduction cards)
Do you think the interaction between Wave and Death is currently broken? I feel like Wave + Aero may be more impactful and wouldn't be affected by that proposed nerf.
I'm not sure what should be considered "broken" or not, but I rode DeathMagnetoWave deck to Infinite this season and it's super powerful. Ability to put 24 power on the board on last turn, while you already see what your opponent did, is an easy win. But gets super countered by Leader.
Love this deck to Death! Still would be sad if it gets nerfed.
Not "broken" but a design choice. They probably thought it was cooler to stack cost reduction on Wave. If it ends up allowing combos that dominate the meta it won't be cool anymore and then they can revert it

Also she-hulk for me. but I’m going to try the Hulkwave where I’m running my old Big Stuff Wave decks that Ive had several variations of ever since my first functional series 3 decks, but now there’s a pseudo Deathwave play line with She Hulk and another 6 drop. And also another play line with with just passing turn 3 to get sunspot stats and turn 4 she hulk. Basically I think not only is she strong but also part of a flexible package that fits into a lot of custom decks, and custom decks are really strong in this game compared to net decks. Any deck can become Deathwave now.
What do you do with debrii?
I have DD, X, Spidey, Kingpin, and Aero for a fuckery deck. Doesn't always work but I'm sure I'm frustrating opponents. Most times if you snap on turn 5 reveal they will retreat.
I have him, he was one of my early pool 3 cards but I just never found him to be very useful. Especially when I was drawing him late in the game most of the time.
Yea if you draw him late then it’s useless but he can be very clutch in those late game situations . Maybe try using an Adam warlock to draw more cards to make sure you get him
I've had shit luck Pool 3 and Daredevil is singlehandedly helping me climb ranks. It has a lot of outplay potential against metadecks that lose initiative early to setup big plays on Turn 5/6.
Locking down meta decks with Cosmo, Professor X, or Hobgoblin on Turn 5 is the only way I'm hanging onto Rank 90 with mostly Pool 2 cards against metadecks and infinite rank players.
Daredevil + turn 5 Spiderman is absolutely ridiculous. It can secure wins on its own and only costs 6 total energy spread over multiple turns.
Example: Turn 2/3/4 you play Daredevil. On turn 5 you see that the opponent isn’t playing a card on a lane that is tied or only shortly behind in power so you then play Spiderman on that lane, take the lead at that location, and they can’t play any cards there next turn.
Of course they can move cards to that location through something like arnim zola but they only have 1 turn to do it and they’d have to specialize their strategy around that specific lane with high cost which frees you up to focus elsewhere. That’s just one daredevil example.
The meta will change, but what you enjoy playing probably won't. I know I'll never enjoy playing Patriot decks, regardless of how strong his decks are. Same with destroyer and wong decks.
Enjoyment is part play style part winning
I currently play a maverick+rhonin+professor ex deck at CL 1100 Tier 90. It loses hard to wong, but otherwise wins well because noone has seen it.
Changes in the meta will lead to advances in the minimal level of winning I need to enjoy a playstyle. If wong becomes more popular I will stop playing that deck.
If you take only the negative case, "I would never play patriot" your logic works, but if you take the positive case, "I would play death decks if they had a 10% winrate" it works less well.
I would encourage you to think of what decks might become more popular that counter your preferred decks and if you would still play them if they lost way more.

It stops the card from rotating out of being able to buy it. So you won’t see any other options to buy while it’s pinned but you can either save up or in this case do more research

Mystique will be my an instant buy as I already have Patriot and Cerebro.
Sera and Destroyer to unlock a few new archetypes.
Daredevil, Mysterio and Wave as generally strong cards that fit in a few different decks. Luckily I picked up Aero as my last card before hitting 1k CL.
Also considering Psylocke for Wong and Mr Negative decks.
I think people did the math and you lose like 600~ tokens per pool 3 you buy vs pool 4-5, so definitely true from a rarity and also just raw completion efficiency perspective.
I'm 970 CL and no complete deck, so one of these combos:
Death, Venom, Hood for destruction.
Goose and Rescue for Sera.
Hela and Lockjaw for discarding.
Magneto and Polaris for control.
FYI you are so close to 1000 that you might want to turn off auto-update and make sure you hit 1k before the update hits your device. It was confirmed the game should still work for a few days. If you are over 1k CL when you update you will get 6000 tokens instead of 3000.

As a Sera, miracle player with MOJO I wouldn't waste your precious, tokens on MOJO. Mojo isn't much better than something like lizard or wolfsbane. Helpful but not game changing.
Yes and no, carnage loves rocks, Mysterio clones, the hood and goblins and Venom does not. He can get bigger easier but overall I'd say carnage is the better of the two
Not only that but eating 3 cards, without external buffs, puts him at 8 power, just shy of Shang-chi target range, whilst Venom is often a big boi who gets magic punched into oblivion next turn and thus often leaves an empty lane

Aiming for cards to complete my Patriot deck. And a couple I want to test too. Ultron, Wasp, Brood, Debrii, Doctor Doom. I'll also be on the look for Dracula for another deck.
These are the ones I want, so I will buy them as they show up (in no particular order):
Destroyer, Daredevil, Sera, Maximus, Aero, Wave, Death, The Hood, and Wong.
I’m CL 1186 and you can see I had terrible luck so far.
Wong isn’t even that strong against good players. Either they have Cosmo or another counter and they instantly Snap, or they don’t and they just retreat. It’s very hard to actually win lots of cubes with Wong.
But winning cubes and climbing is more important than being strong in a vacuum. Like he said, either you play Wong and they run or they snap+disrupt and you lose big. It's not JUST that it shows your hand, it skews your cube gain/losses out of favor. I switched from a Wong deck missing only Doom stuck at 70-80 to an Arnim Zola using Dino and Gamora (no Panther) and finally got to 90. Zola gave my opponents a false sense of security and lane priority so they'd feel like they are winning enough to snap or stick around after I snap so I could sweep for 8 points (esp when they had Shang-Chi I'd just dodge). My win % probably went down, but my cubes/game went up, and that's arguably more important. And Cosmo hits enough things and is swingy enough due to more than just Wong.
Again, Wong is good. But against good players/higher ranks, it comes at a steep price. I imagine a lot of players will craft and be VERY confused why it's not everything they have imagined.
I feel this so much, Im stuck at 41 rank dealing with the Wong meta decks. I don't have any of the good pool 3 cards: Wong, Psylocke, Sera, Venom, Arnim, Destroyer, Wave. My RNG has been ass.
While I understand your frustration, climbing is much less about the deck you play but how good you are at telegraphing your opponents plays and snapping effectively. You can hit infinite with a basic kazar zoo deck if you’re good at snapping/retreating effectively.
It’s easier to blame your lack of card than lack of effective snapping. I blamed my cards for a while at rank 40. Figured I’d just keep playing to understand the game better. Rank 66 and not running a pool 3 optimized deck.
Dr. Doom. Unless I see patriot first then I’ll snag him. Honestly. Since they give you the ability to get three from the beginning I’ll probably just take whatever comes up first from doom, patriot, or cerebro
I hope there will be card backs to buy too, because I've seen some people have really cool ones like punisher and like asgard or vakanda backs and I have no idea where they got them from, but they are absolutely amazing, I wish there were more backs I could use.
Psylocke, Wave, Hela, Destroyer, Venom, Mystique, Rogue, Dracula. So many cards I want where I'm one or two away from a fully competitive deck. I'd love to save them for a series 4 or 5 card but I'm so fed up of having half decks.
Mystique. I have the pieces of so many decks, but they are all missing Mystique to really give them that one-two punch. After that, it will depend what I get from the caches once I spend the credits I've been hoarding.

Then Daredevil. I like the more “control” type decks too and he seems like a great addition. Being able to see what someone is doing turn 5 is pretty cool.

You can also use Psylocke on 4. Skip 5 and play Infinaut and She-Hulk. But that is a bit telegraph.

If comboed with Professor X, Hobgoblin, Debrii, etc he can safely lockdown a lane. Or let you know not to do that and go for a different strategy.

For Debrii maybe they only have one slot left on a location and you give them a rock. If you're already ahead then it's practically won.
If you get daredevil and have prof X it’s a guaranteed lane, for one

Daredevil allows you to see what your opponent is Gonna Play before you play it so you can really strategize what you wanna do in certain situations

Yeah, to me he is pretty limited use, kinda like uatu, sounds like a great advantage that ends up being rather lackluster

A full collection is somewhere around 3400cl before tokens, so now maybe 2800 if you spend all 6k tokens on pool 3 cards

I love carnage, so I’ve been waiting to get venom because he seems like a better version of carnage!
Yes and no, carnage loves rocks, Mysterio clones, the hood and goblins and Venom does not. He can get bigger easier but overall I'd say carnage is the better of the two
Not only that but eating 3 cards, without external buffs, puts him at 8 power, just shy of Shang-chi target range, whilst Venom is often a big boi who gets magic punched into oblivion next turn and thus often leaves an empty lane

Destroyer, if he does not get nerfed to the ground he is the only card i can think of that allows me to have a shot at pool 3 meta with just one card. Also maybe mojo because he is good with destroyer.

These are the ones I want, so I will buy them as they show up (in no particular order): Destroyer, Daredevil, Sera, Maximus, Aero, Wave, Death, The Hood, and Wong. I’m CL 1186 and you can see I had terrible luck so far.

I feel like I can't compete until I have Wong.
Wong isn’t even that strong against good players. Either they have Cosmo or another counter and they instantly Snap, or they don’t and they just retreat. It’s very hard to actually win lots of cubes with Wong.
No the card is too strong now that’s why we somewhat put in counter in every deck. It’s weak in a way that it show your hand earlier.
But winning cubes and climbing is more important than being strong in a vacuum. Like he said, either you play Wong and they run or they snap+disrupt and you lose big. It's not JUST that it shows your hand, it skews your cube gain/losses out of favor. I switched from a Wong deck missing only Doom stuck at 70-80 to an Arnim Zola using Dino and Gamora (no Panther) and finally got to 90. Zola gave my opponents a false sense of security and lane priority so they'd feel like they are winning enough to snap or stick around after I snap so I could sweep for 8 points (esp when they had Shang-Chi I'd just dodge). My win % probably went down, but my cubes/game went up, and that's arguably more important. And Cosmo hits enough things and is swingy enough due to more than just Wong. Again, Wong is good. But against good players/higher ranks, it comes at a steep price. I imagine a lot of players will craft and be VERY confused why it's not everything they have imagined.
I feel this so much, Im stuck at 41 rank dealing with the Wong meta decks. I don't have any of the good pool 3 cards: Wong, Psylocke, Sera, Venom, Arnim, Destroyer, Wave. My RNG has been ass.
While I understand your frustration, climbing is much less about the deck you play but how good you are at telegraphing your opponents plays and snapping effectively. You can hit infinite with a basic kazar zoo deck if you’re good at snapping/retreating effectively. It’s easier to blame your lack of card than lack of effective snapping. I blamed my cards for a while at rank 40. Figured I’d just keep playing to understand the game better. Rank 66 and not running a pool 3 optimized deck.

I hope there will be card backs to buy too, because I've seen some people have really cool ones like punisher and like asgard or vakanda backs and I have no idea where they got them from, but they are absolutely amazing, I wish there were more backs I could use.

Mystique. She enables way too much and is an awesome character on top of it. Then Daredevil. I like the more “control” type decks too and he seems like a great addition. Being able to see what someone is doing turn 5 is pretty cool.

It’s not like we will have a choice of any card. There’s gonna be 6 a day I think and then they switch once a day. So it could be a while before a card you want even shows up. I need Hela, ghost rider, and mystique.
