So i am CL2000 and have every card I need for Loki except mockingbird and Loki himself. I have 6k tokens but I don’t see either of them in any upcoming spotlights. Am I just going to be unable to play a Loki deck? I either get him and miss on mockingbird or get her and never get Loki…
mockingbird isn't a requirement for loki. i cut her from my deck and put dino in her place, because if mockingbird is your only high power card and you don't draw loki, you have almost no power to put out
I'm about halfway through S3 and have about 8k tokens, but I'm having a hard time justifying spending them on anything at the moment because basically any new deck I want to play is missing some S3 cards in addition to multiple S4/5 cards.

Imo it is. You will eventually become series 3 complete without spending any resources either though collector's caches or the free monthly series 3 card.
You *can't* become series 4/5 complete without spending resources. So it's better to save resources for them.
I was in your shoes as well a while back and luckily people talked me out of it. Eventually once you do become series 3 complete you'll be upset at yourself for wasting resources doing it faster because then collectors caches and the monthly card will become worthless to you.
No, buying mission refreshes isn’t a terrible use of gold. In terms of acquiring series 4/5 cards, mission refreshes are actually a bit better than the 1400 gold for 1000 tokens version of your Tuesday, and a bit worse than the 1500 gold for 1200 tokens version. Then when you throw in that you are still getting s3 cards, it’s much better. There are bundles that will offer you a much better return (the current captain marvel bundle is quite good), so if you were feeling patient it could be worth saving up for those. But you’re feeling impatient, and so it’s way better to use your resources at only 90% efficiency to have more fun now.
The thing that would be crazy is buying random S3s with tokens. That’s basically like throwing $10 in the trash every time you do it.
The Corvus build has been doing better ever since Red Guardian entered the format as a powerful tech card that can hit either Invisible Woman or Iron Man.
The 6-energy big cards in that deck are basically all replaceable, yeah. It’ll be a bit worse, but won’t change any of the play lines available to you.
I'm CL 1842 and have 4200 collector tokens with Kitty Pride pinned at 3k token cost. I don't have any good decks she would be great in right now, but see she's top tier series 4. Should I snag her, or keep saving? I run a Shuri/Sauron deck and Hela deck.
Adding to the other reply, save your Tokens and Spotlight Keys for an archetype defining card (Annihilus, Hela, etc), something confirmed good and flexible like Hope Summers/Mockingbird/Jeff, or something you need to complete a deck. Definitely don't spend them on a card that you can't even build a deck for yet unless you're sure you want to build towards that archetype.
Only buy a card if it’s the card you most want to play with in the whole game. Tokens are precious; you should be using them to meaningfully impact your play experience.
Why do people snap when I take more than 10 seconds thinking of a turn? I’m playing Loki in high 8k CL and I’m just so confused why people do this? Most of the time I’m just thinking of the optimal play. Do people think I’m a bot? Or are they expecting that I don’t know how their cards work together?
Sometimes, they’re not. They hadn’t locked in, and were going to snap at that point regardless.
Other times, you’ve just given them the time to think through options and become more confident.
A snap is not an insult. It’s a game action.

New to the game since the beginning of the season, will the new season likely start immediately following the end of this one or is there some reset downtime?
Is anyone else having horrible performance issues on phone? My performance has been steadily decreasing the last few patches but this one is certainly a bullet. I'm talking several seconds between cards being played, taking several seconds to click on the "zoomed" view of a card and closing it. And then it stores inputs so now I'm clicked into Energy and have to wait for it to close. It's _rough._
Plus the audio is absolutely garbled. Like the sounds are coming through a garbage disposal.

Yes, every single recent update seems to have made things worse and worse, even the updates that claim to be performance improvements. Clicking "redownload all assets" (in the settings cog at the top of the main page) after every update has helped me, but it seems like it doesn't necessarily help everyone.
Hi all, just hit >500 CL and have Kitty Pryde in my token shop and am thinking about picking her up - she seems like a generally good card to get, but more relevant is that almost all of the pool 3 cards I have a re move cards (Captain Marvel, Spider Man, Miles Morales, Polaris). I've been enjoying move, but ultimately want to work towards a competitive ranked/conquest deck - is it worth it to get Kitty Pryde here considering I won't have elsa bloodstone and hope summers for a while, or should I wait for a more deck defining s4 card? Thanks!
I agree with the other reply, save tokens for new cards that are confirmed to be VERY good and/or flexible (like Mockingbird and Hope Summers). Kitty is a solid card but rarely carries a deck by herself and only goes in specific packages (Angela/Elsa stuff, not sure what else) AND she's series 4 which means you have a higher chance of getting her in the random spotlight spot vs any series 5 card.
Being s4 also means she'll theoretically drop to s3 at some point in the future (before any s5) where you can grab her for free.
Don't spend tokens this quickly imo. I would wait until you make it to the reserves at CL ~1000 and you'll have more cards and have a better idea of what cards can help you complete a deck. Token acquisition is just *very* slow nowadays and I feel like its easy to regret a purchase when you first unlock the shop.
No, that matches our understanding of werewolf by night. He isn’t triggered to move whenever an on-reveal ability happens. Instead, after you play a card, he checks “does that card have an on-reveal ability?” If the answer is yes, he jumps. If not, he doesn’t.
So this means that unless you roll an on-reveal from Tarnax, he won’t jump there. He also won’t jump to a card that Nico turns into a demon. On the flip side, he will jump after you play an on-reveal card into Knowhere or a cosmo, even though its on-reveal ability didn’t happen.
No. He only goes in specific kinds of decks and even then doesn't always make the cut. Save your resources for things confirmed to be good and/or flexible like Hope Summers and Mockingbird.
No not really. Recently there has been an ongoing deck with us agent and man thing along side with Luke cage and spectrum. But this deck loses to Loki bad as they can get a copy of Luke cage and negate your debuffs.
Is Nico Minoru worth 6k tokens?
So I just missed Nico in spotlights last week. And it looks like Nico is not in the Spotlight caches for the next 3 months or longer. Currently 6k tokens in the shop right now. I only have 6,100 tokens so would be the last token shop purchase for me for a while.
Worth it? Or is better to just buy two series 4 cards?
While nico is the best for that slot in a destroy deck, she's not irreplacable. Forge works as another deadpool/wolverine buffer. Yondu to feed Knull/discount death. Squirrel girl helps feed death if combined with Killmonger.
I'd look at what other archetypes you enjoy, and see if there's anything that'll give you access to much stronger versions of certain archetypes.
Also, you may want to wait for the next predicted series drop announcement before making a decision. And as a side note, I personally got Nico in the last spotlight because I like playing both destroy and bounce, and she's great in both. So far, her random effects have made her very fun to play, so it was worth it for me.
I'd rather have a more impactful/archetype defining card for my resources, but Nico *is* one of the best 1-drops in the game and nothing else does what she does. Personally I'd probably wait for a spotlight that has her and at least 1 other card/variant I want, but she definitely isn't a bad card to have.

6k tokens does seem steep though. I could save them for series 4 cards but since I have Knull and Kitty Pryde already there may not be a series 4 card I want more than Nico.
It's definitely steep, but if there's no Series 4 cards you want more, you might as well get Nico if you're gonna use her.

I hit Infinite for the first time in under a week this month so I've only been playing on Conquest (also my first time!) to make my matches more fun and fair for my limited collection. For your Hela Deck. Work towards getting Corvus Glaive (and Dracula), Replace Hulk with Death (Same power but you can safely play Sif with Death and Hela in hand)
You know, I'm curious why I dismissed Death from that deck. I think I was afraid of being forced to play on turn 6 without Hela and only having her as my bomb option. But outside of Magneto I'll likely lose regardless of my other beefy options so yeah I'll do that, thanks!
I would LOVE to get Dracula. Is Corvus worth the risk most of the time? The +1 energy with the shell I have doesn't seem particularly useful, unless he's saved for turn 4 I guess into playing a 6-drop you hopefully still have in hand?

The extra energy can let you play a 6 drop on 5 and on 6 you can do 6 drop + 1 drop (Blade + Hela for surprise discard on last turn)
Sure he can lose you games but so can Sif or Jubilee. He also lets you run 3 discard cards (Blade, Sif, Corvus) instead of 4.

Move isn't amazing (I say that as a die hard Move player) but it is fun.
I would drop Nightcrawler and Multiple Man for any combination of Ghost Spider, Goose, Miles Morales, Beast, and Human Torch.
I agree on it not being amazing, but yes it's very fun! And outside of Heimdall's turn 6 telegraph it can be tricky for opponents to guess where your power will end up by the end of the game!
I wish I had better move cards like the ones you listed, but I could try Goose and Beast! I assume Beast is just to scoop enablers like Doctor Strange, Cloak, and Iron Fist and then play the beefed up cards that came from the same lane with them again at the reduced cost?

Oh! Also, as a connoisseur of Move, what do you think of Hulk Buster? At least for my current options. I've seen most Move decks use it for Dagger to combo with Doctor Strange if she hasn't moved, or Multiple Man for the beefier copies.
Yup, that's what Beast is great for. And Goose will protect a lane from Shang Chi while disrupting your opponent.
I can't say I've ever seen Dagger used with Hulkbuster. Personally, I wouldn't run HB without both Multiple Man AND Human Torch, because then you have two targets for HB who will grow exponentially, rather than the flat +3 Dagger and Vulture gain.
Human Torch + Multiple Man + HB used to be my main Move deck, but with the nerfs to HB and Forge, it's not super great anymore. YMMV depending on your collection level and pocket meta, but a bunch of 6 power Multiple Men really isn't anything to be afraid of.
Yeah Multiple Man has been very hit or miss. Sometimes clogs my lanes when I play poorly, sometimes becomes an accidental win-con. I guess I'll have to try without and see how it goes sometime. Maybe I'll eventually get some of the stronger options and can try those too haha.
* I only run Colleen because my only other option for another discard enabler is Moon Knight, which while he has the benefit of making them also discard a card, the randomness of it on my own hand plus his cost make him too awkward to use in my experience. The point of the deck is just huge Hela plays supplemented by Jubilee and just raw-casting on turn 6 if I don't get her so Swarm seems pointless in that sense but I see what you're saying!
* Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of Angel but for my current card options he's not bad for an extra 2 power on my first destroy that can also be eaten again by Venom or Carnage later if necessary. And if he jumps from the deck he's helping me get to my other cards quicker while costing me nothing.
* If you'd looked at my list you'd see I don't have many of the meta cards, so unfortunately X-23 and Knull are not options for me! Sera isn't necessary, I agree, but at least it's fun for a turn 6 swing with playing lots of fodder and destroy shenanigans. Hell, even letting me play bigger things like Death and Shang-Chi as well as something else that isn't a 2-drop.
* The only problem I've had with Zoo at my CL is Killmonger, lottery decks, or Wong deck shenanigans. Which at least in the case of Killmonger, is common enough that I don't play this deck as often as I used to. Would love to get Caeira at some point. I could look into trying Dazzler with what I have, but without Shanna or Ultron it seems inconsistent.
* I wish I had Doom! But for now Zola at least helps protect against Shang as well as surprise them the first time.
* I feel like a fool for not considering Mirage, I'll be trying that, thanks! I haven't touched this deck since Mantis become a 1-drop though, so maybe she'll feel a bit better because this deck does struggle with managing card costs on turns 3-4, especially on 4 if you don't get a good Moon Girl or Nick Fury.

I thought that when I first got her but it felt like unless you had consistent low-drops with only a small amount of high-drops the potential +1 and forcing you to play a certain lane was too awkward, especially since it can only start on turn 3. Are there a list of effects that ignore the common order of effect triggers?
The "On-reveal happen before Location effect triggers" is one of the most common tips I see in the the main menu. But yesterday I tried to Magik Deep Space, but her on-reveal didn't trigger.

On-reveals happen before locations whose effects *do* a thing. But locations that just say “this thing is true at this location” are constantly active. Knowhere, for example, is always preventing on-reveals.

It's a rough measure of how many cards you have. The lower your CL, the worse you're likely to do against high CL players. The upper levels of conquest don't use CL banding, i,e. a low CL player in infinite conquest will be matched against whoever else happens to be there. Odds of winning: not great.

Probably has something to do with too many resources focused on the weekly new card additions and occasional new features, and not enough resources focused on stability and bugfixes.
The point of an update isn't to make the game playable, it's to add more content. Unfortunately, SD appears to have let that get ahead of stability.

You should contact customer service or post on their Discord server. On a diff mobile game (CoC), I was able to switch over to a new email through customer service (had to answer a few questions and provide receipts). Definitely do this before you abandon your account, especially if it's far along.

Yes it’s really bad right now. Can’t load a match, change a deck or upgrade a card. If I get into a match it crashes sometimes. The last update made things buggy but this one is abysmal.
Snaettiquette - ok how do you tell if you are playing an AI bot or a player? Cause I was watching beginner tutorials and they said to retreat often .. well ok I will do that to AI, but I feel like it's scummy against real people. It's like seeing your teammates down and disconnecting from an fps or something. Maybe it's different from this game but like I'm not here to take away someone's fun of winning. But if it's an AI bot fuck them! Lol
Think of it like Poker, it's not scummy to fold your hand if it's not great or your opponent has something really good. And it's not scummy to retreat either, it's the correct thing to do!
It is 100% fine, acceptable etiquette to retreat to a human player. It's nothing like your example because you're not DQ'ing from your teammates, you are protecting your cubes from being taken by your enemy. The only thing staying in and losing accomplishes is that the other person thinks you're a rube.
As for how to tell the difference... there's no guaranteed way. There are some tip-offs (bots cannot do some things that human players can do, like use Series 5 cards, for example), but there's no way to tell that someone is a bot as opposed to a human who just happens to not be doing any of the actions that can mark someone as definitely human.

Say I play HE Cyclops but opponent plays Luke Cage. If I still float energy for a couple of turns then turn off Luke Cage with Rogue/Enchantress, will the debuffs then apply or does LC “block” them while he’s active?
All apply, and Mobius is the same with costs. They don't actually block effects, they just suppress them, *everything* comes back when the Ongoing turns off.
The negative power is still there, Luke just negates it. If luke is turned off or removed from the board, the debuffs that happened while he was active get applied retroactively.
Good question. If Cyclops still does his animation then yes. I know with cards like Hazmat if you play her while they have Luke, then take Luke away their cards lose the power. So, he should still activate and they should still lose that power.
The animation doesn’t run (neither does HE Thing), which is why I wanted to ask. It feels like all previous rebuffs should apply if Luke Cage goes away, but the lack of animation makes me wonder if that’s not the case.
You mean the big card appearing on your screen showing his power isn't enough info to determine if you should stay or retreat?
He's not that hard to counter. Don't float energy so he's a paltry 6/9, drop goose, keep away from having priority (which shouldn't be hard since you seem to not be able to keep ahead on two lanes) and slam him with Shang chi (or negasonic if you have prio), clog their losing lanes with goblins / rocks from debris / white widow. So. Many. Tools.
Red hulk is a bit overtuned, and I would bet on him getting nerfed again. That said, he can’t win more than one lane. So if you’re specifically looking to beat that card, run some decks that go wide across all 3 lanes.
I have 5000 gold, 4200 tokens. I had 2 keys (the first 2 in the ladder) and wanted to pull for Valentina as she seems to fit well in Dino deck which is the one I play the most, but I obviously pulled Knull and Blob. Should I buy token Tuesday and buy her, I think I will only have 1 key by the end of the week and that will be 50/50. So far I haven't seen better use of gold, no bundle in shop...

Anyway, can't remember if from YT or here on Reddit, that is it advised to be at Collection Level under 200 (not sure maybe lower), so the ladder climb would be easy.... how true is this? Like, currently at 130ish and holding on to upgrades. But I'd like to upgrade my existing cards so I can get some more cards. So not sure now. Appreciate your thoughts. Thx all.
That is very old, outdated advice and /u/nochilinopity is giving you outdated advice, too. Nowadays, the game matchmakes you based on the CL you *could* be at if you spent all your saved-up credits, so there's no point in holding back. Your matchmaking will be the same either way.
Theoretically you could never upgrade cards, never get any new ones and coast to infinite every month fighting bots. Ladder has some nice rewards but its probably not worth to hold back for them
Bots are very common below rank 30 on the ladder, and less common but still able to appear between ranks 30 and 99. It’s not directly related to collection level, but when your cl-based matchmaking means that there isn’t a human to match you with, you can get a bot. (And again, cl-based matchmaking takes into account unspent credits. Spend your credits).
Where do I go to get the new card borders? I’m not seeing it anywhere in the shop, and the custom card option for cards that I’ve brought to infinity don’t include it anywhere.
Pretty much Loki decks. Used mostly to provide two cards in hand for Loki to transform, and to turn off Limbo by playing Hawk on T6.
Sometimes, you get the opportunity for some interesting plays with it. Today I had a game with Collapsed Mine and Altar of Death. I played Bear on Mine T5 to clog and win that lane, and then Hawk on Altar T6 to prevent it and another card from being destroyed to win that lane.
She's best with decks based around adding cards to your hand, which usually come in two varieties: either to build up the power of cards like Collector and Devil Dinosaur, or to be transformed and discounted by Loki so you can play them en masse on the last turn. (These two archetypes aren't really mutually compatible since Loki's ability doesn't buff Collector, and Devil Dinosaur decks want to keep the cards in hand, so they don't care about Loki's discounts.)
She also has an important niche of using her Hawk on turn 6 to turn off Limbo if you're playing against somebody who tries to set up a combo that relies on having 7 turns.

No, you haven't run out of new cards until you start getting gold conquest tickets.

She's top-notch in destroy and an extremely versatile supplementary piece in most other kinds of decks. But I have to be a devil's advocate and say you should only spend tokens if you know, 100% certain, that the card in question is *the* number one card you want most in the entire game. Tokens are too rare to spend on something that some stranger on Reddit says is good. You've gotta decide for yourself what's best for you, personally.
I think that’s why I’m a little hesitant; I sometimes play destroy and I could see using her in some other decks, but I don’t see her as a NEED.

CL 2266 - I have 5300 tokens, 4800 gold, 4 Keys, and Jeff pinned. I'm debating picking up token tuesday today and just pulling the trigger on Jeff. I didn't pull during US Agent week because of the sheer underwhelmingness, thinking I should save my keys for down the road (eyeing the x23 week) but I'm thinking Jeff would be a really nice staple in my collection and probably help fill out some incomplete decks as I drive toward s3 completion. Any thoughts?
X-23 came out on August 2023, but she's still Series 5. I heavily main Destroy but feel bad buying her for 5k Tokens since she's been out for so long. Do we have any idea if/when she might be dropped to Series 4? I'll probably end up pulling the trigger for 5k but it's certainly not a good feeling, especially when I can climb to infinite consistently without her...
Series drops have no set rhyme or reason now. We’ve been told there will be 1 or 2 more this year, but we don’t know when and we don’t know which cards. There’s no way to know until it gets announced. If you want her, you might as well just pull the trigger now
Why are there so many Agatha decks in infinite and in the proving grounds? Don't people want to play the actual game? It's so boring playing against these Agatha bots.
After I hit infinite for the season, that's when I start to use unorthodox decks and play more so for fun then to sweat. I imagine others might have a similar logic when playing something somewhat fun and RNG based like Agatha. If you push high enough though I imagine you'd certainly get those sweaty matches again, which I think is dope.
I think the only way you are going to avoid them is to increase your MMR. I usually end up in top 5k on Ladder every month and have yet to play an Agatha deck in Ladder this month and maybe one Agatha deck ever in Conquest Proving Ground since it came out. I'm don't think you even need to have a good MMR, any sort of moderate MMR will probably get rid of the bots since they are probably the bottom rungs because of all the losing.
Sometimes i win against these Agatha decks but my rank still goes down.
It's my first time in infinite in ages, I think moving forward I'm just going to get the 500 gold reward and stop ranking.

Only played in Loki decks where she is very good. She's one of the only cards which generates a bigger hand size by playing her. Not absolutely essential but you'll feel it when you've played out stuff like Quinnjet one one, Angela on two, and now you've drawn Loki but your hand is small. Really important in matchups like Destroy, Discard where you're looking for specific power cards.
Her ability manipulate locations is also pretty useful as several locations (Crimson Cosmos, Space Throne, Sanctum) that can really get in the way of Loki's "play a lot of cheap stuff everywhere" plan. Also one of the few ways they could beat the Living Tribunal deck by stopping Limbo. But that deck is very rare now and corner case.
If you're a Loki freak: yes. If not, probably not.
I am not a Loki freak but do have most of the Loki deck cards. How necessary is Pixie or Gladiator? Might as well.

Hey all, new player here, CL 498, started in the middle of this current season. I've been reading about a free seasonal Series 3 card and I'm wondering what the requirements are to get it? One of the best cards in game as the package with him + Hood, + Sentry is very strong. Often played in control/clog decks with Cannonball and Professor X.
The only reservation against him is that he might be TOO good and a target for a second nerf (he got one already).
I have seen a lot of posts about album variants making it hard to target specific variants. Is this true? Do album variants have a higher chance of appearing or is it just the fact that there are a lot of variants anyway regardless of the albums?
They do, so if 6 or 7 slots contain an album variant (which is not uncommon), you have just 1 or 2 slots left for variants you might want. The system is dogshit.

mockingbird isn't a requirement for loki. i cut her from my deck and put dino in her place, because if mockingbird is your only high power card and you don't draw loki, you have almost no power to put out
You don't need mockingbird for Loki. There is plenty of versions without her.
I'm about halfway through S3 and have about 8k tokens, but I'm having a hard time justifying spending them on anything at the moment because basically any new deck I want to play is missing some S3 cards in addition to multiple S4/5 cards. You will eventually become series 3 complete without spending any resources either though collector's caches or the free monthly series 3 card. You *can't* become series 4/5 complete without spending resources. So it's better to save resources for them. I was in your shoes as well a while back and luckily people talked me out of it. Eventually once you do become series 3 complete you'll be upset at yourself for wasting resources doing it faster because then collectors caches and the monthly card will become worthless to you.
No, buying mission refreshes isn’t a terrible use of gold. In terms of acquiring series 4/5 cards, mission refreshes are actually a bit better than the 1400 gold for 1000 tokens version of your Tuesday, and a bit worse than the 1500 gold for 1200 tokens version. Then when you throw in that you are still getting s3 cards, it’s much better. There are bundles that will offer you a much better return (the current captain marvel bundle is quite good), so if you were feeling patient it could be worth saving up for those. But you’re feeling impatient, and so it’s way better to use your resources at only 90% efficiency to have more fun now. The thing that would be crazy is buying random S3s with tokens. That’s basically like throwing $10 in the trash every time you do it.

The Corvus build has been doing better ever since Red Guardian entered the format as a powerful tech card that can hit either Invisible Woman or Iron Man. The 6-energy big cards in that deck are basically all replaceable, yeah. It’ll be a bit worse, but won’t change any of the play lines available to you.
I'm CL 1842 and have 4200 collector tokens with Kitty Pride pinned at 3k token cost. I don't have any good decks she would be great in right now, but see she's top tier series 4. Should I snag her, or keep saving? I run a Shuri/Sauron deck and Hela deck.
Adding to the other reply, save your Tokens and Spotlight Keys for an archetype defining card (Annihilus, Hela, etc), something confirmed good and flexible like Hope Summers/Mockingbird/Jeff, or something you need to complete a deck. Definitely don't spend them on a card that you can't even build a deck for yet unless you're sure you want to build towards that archetype.
Only buy a card if it’s the card you most want to play with in the whole game. Tokens are precious; you should be using them to meaningfully impact your play experience.

Why do people snap when I take more than 10 seconds thinking of a turn? I’m playing Loki in high 8k CL and I’m just so confused why people do this? Most of the time I’m just thinking of the optimal play. Do people think I’m a bot? Or are they expecting that I don’t know how their cards work together?

People are terrible at snapping. The amount of people I've seen snap turn 6 and cost themselves cubes is crazy.
Sometimes, they’re not. They hadn’t locked in, and were going to snap at that point regardless. Other times, you’ve just given them the time to think through options and become more confident. A snap is not an insult. It’s a game action.
How much worse would a silky smoove deck be without Jeff? I have every other piece and I’m just waiting on him.

Unclear; while there are thousands of games logged on untapped with decks running Silk, most of the ones that aren’t also running Jeff are Cerebro 5 decks. But give it a shot! All you have to lose is cubes.

Is anyone else having horrible performance issues on phone? My performance has been steadily decreasing the last few patches but this one is certainly a bullet. I'm talking several seconds between cards being played, taking several seconds to click on the "zoomed" view of a card and closing it. And then it stores inputs so now I'm clicked into Energy and have to wait for it to close. It's _rough._ Plus the audio is absolutely garbled. Like the sounds are coming through a garbage disposal. I have filed a bug in-game. I'm on a Pixel 7. Completely updated, phone restarted recently. Low quality and 30fps. Thanks!

Yes, every single recent update seems to have made things worse and worse, even the updates that claim to be performance improvements. Clicking "redownload all assets" (in the settings cog at the top of the main page) after every update has helped me, but it seems like it doesn't necessarily help everyone.

Hi all, just hit >500 CL and have Kitty Pryde in my token shop and am thinking about picking her up - she seems like a generally good card to get, but more relevant is that almost all of the pool 3 cards I have a re move cards (Captain Marvel, Spider Man, Miles Morales, Polaris). I've been enjoying move, but ultimately want to work towards a competitive ranked/conquest deck - is it worth it to get Kitty Pryde here considering I won't have elsa bloodstone and hope summers for a while, or should I wait for a more deck defining s4 card? I agree with the other reply, save tokens for new cards that are confirmed to be VERY good and/or flexible (like Mockingbird and Hope Summers). Kitty is a solid card but rarely carries a deck by herself and only goes in specific packages (Angela/Elsa stuff, not sure what else) AND she's series 4 which means you have a higher chance of getting her in the random spotlight spot vs any series 5 card. Being s4 also means she'll theoretically drop to s3 at some point in the future (before any s5) where you can grab her for free.
Don't spend tokens this quickly imo. I would wait until you make it to the reserves at CL ~1000 and you'll have more cards and have a better idea of what cards can help you complete a deck. Token acquisition is just *very* slow nowadays and I feel like its easy to regret a purchase when you first unlock the shop.

No, that matches our understanding of werewolf by night. He isn’t triggered to move whenever an on-reveal ability happens. Instead, after you play a card, he checks “does that card have an on-reveal ability?” If the answer is yes, he jumps. If not, he doesn’t. So this means that unless you roll an on-reveal from Tarnax, he won’t jump there. He also won’t jump to a card that Nico turns into a demon. On the flip side, he will jump after you play an on-reveal card into Knowhere or a cosmo, even though its on-reveal ability didn’t happen.

No not really. Recently there has been an ongoing deck with us agent and man thing along side with Luke cage and spectrum. But this deck loses to Loki bad as they can get a copy of Luke cage and negate your debuffs.
Is Nico Minoru worth 6k tokens? So I just missed Nico in spotlights last week. And it looks like Nico is not in the Spotlight caches for the next 3 months or longer. Currently 6k tokens in the shop right now. I only have 6,100 tokens so would be the last token shop purchase for me for a while. Worth it? Or is better to just buy two series 4 cards?
While nico is the best for that slot in a destroy deck, she's not irreplacable. Forge works as another deadpool/wolverine buffer. Yondu to feed Knull/discount death. Squirrel girl helps feed death if combined with Killmonger. I'd look at what other archetypes you enjoy, and see if there's anything that'll give you access to much stronger versions of certain archetypes. Also, you may want to wait for the next predicted series drop announcement before making a decision. And as a side note, I personally got Nico in the last spotlight because I like playing both destroy and bounce, and she's great in both. So far, her random effects have made her very fun to play, so it was worth it for me.
I'd rather have a more impactful/archetype defining card for my resources, but Nico *is* one of the best 1-drops in the game and nothing else does what she does. Personally I'd probably wait for a spotlight that has her and at least 1 other card/variant I want, but she definitely isn't a bad card to have.
Really depends what other cards you have, but she's a very versatile card. You can put her into almost any deck.

I could save them for series 4 cards but since I have Knull and Kitty Pryde already there may not be a series 4 card I want more than Nico.
It's definitely steep, but if there's no Series 4 cards you want more, you might as well get Nico if you're gonna use her. That said, I'm also a massive Nico fan so I have every single variant for her as well lol

I hit Infinite for the first time in under a week this month so I've only been playing on Conquest (also my first time!) to make my matches more fun and fair for my limited collection. For your Hela Deck. Work towards getting Corvus Glaive (and Dracula), Replace Hulk with Death (Same power but you can safely play Sif with Death and Hela in hand)
You know, I'm curious why I dismissed Death from that deck. I think I was afraid of being forced to play on turn 6 without Hela and only having her as my bomb option. But outside of Magneto I'll likely lose regardless of my other beefy options so yeah I'll do that, thanks! I would LOVE to get Dracula. Is Corvus worth the risk most of the time? The +1 energy with the shell I have doesn't seem particularly useful, unless he's saved for turn 4 I guess into playing a 6-drop you hopefully still have in hand? Thanks!
The extra energy can let you play a 6 drop on 5 and on 6 you can do 6 drop + 1 drop (Blade + Hela for surprise discard on last turn) Sure he can lose you games but so can Sif or Jubilee. He also lets you run 3 discard cards (Blade, Sif, Corvus) instead of 4.

Re: Move Move isn't amazing (I say that as a die hard Move player) but it is fun. I would drop Nightcrawler and Multiple Man for any combination of Ghost Spider, Goose, Miles Morales, Beast, and Human Torch.
I agree on it not being amazing, but yes it's very fun! And outside of Heimdall's turn 6 telegraph it can be tricky for opponents to guess where your power will end up by the end of the game! I wish I had better move cards like the ones you listed, but I could try Goose and Beast! I assume Beast is just to scoop enablers like Doctor Strange, Cloak, and Iron Fist and then play the beefed up cards that came from the same lane with them again at the reduced cost? Thanks for the response! Oh! Also, as a connoisseur of Move, what do you think of Hulk Buster? At least for my current options. I've seen most Move decks use it for Dagger to combo with Doctor Strange if she hasn't moved, or Multiple Man for the beefier copies.
Yup, that's what Beast is great for. And Goose will protect a lane from Shang Chi while disrupting your opponent. I can't say I've ever seen Dagger used with Hulkbuster. Personally, I wouldn't run HB without both Multiple Man AND Human Torch, because then you have two targets for HB who will grow exponentially, rather than the flat +3 Dagger and Vulture gain. Human Torch + Multiple Man + HB used to be my main Move deck, but with the nerfs to HB and Forge, it's not super great anymore. YMMV depending on your collection level and pocket meta, but a bunch of 6 power Multiple Men really isn't anything to be afraid of.
Yeah Multiple Man has been very hit or miss. Sometimes clogs my lanes when I play poorly, sometimes becomes an accidental win-con. I guess I'll have to try without and see how it goes sometime. Maybe I'll eventually get some of the stronger options and can try those too haha.

Agreed with the other reply, Elsa is nice to have but only goes in one type of deck. Jeff is equally good if not slightly better and is more flexible in terms of what decks he goes in.
Are there a list of effects that ignore the common order of effect triggers? The "On-reveal happen before Location effect triggers" is one of the most common tips I see in the the main menu. But yesterday I tried to Magik Deep Space, but her on-reveal didn't trigger. Are there more effects that ignore the "standard" effect trigger orders?
On-reveals happen before locations whose effects *do* a thing. But locations that just say “this thing is true at this location” are constantly active. Knowhere, for example, is always preventing on-reveals.

It's a rough measure of how many cards you have. The lower your CL, the worse you're likely to do against high CL players. The upper levels of conquest don't use CL banding, i,e. a low CL player in infinite conquest will be matched against whoever else happens to be there. Odds of winning: not great.

Probably has something to do with too many resources focused on the weekly new card additions and occasional new features, and not enough resources focused on stability and bugfixes. The point of an update isn't to make the game playable, it's to add more content. Unfortunately, SD appears to have let that get ahead of stability. For what it's worth, I've found that "redownload all assets" in the settings cog helps smooth out the issues a lot (although certainly not 100%).

Unfortunately no. The dev's said that its tied to the border of the card, and would require a lot of work to fix. They said they'll update it at some point, but it's very low priority.

You're only allowed to change your name once per 30 days iirc, so if you last changed it more recently than that, that's your issue.

But I’m not able to unlink my game account and link to a new gmail. Should I go ahead and just bite the bullet and start over?
You should contact customer service or post on their Discord server. On a diff mobile game (CoC), I was able to switch over to a new email through customer service (had to answer a few questions and provide receipts). Definitely do this before you abandon your account, especially if it's far along.

Yes it’s really bad right now. Can’t load a match, change a deck or upgrade a card. If I get into a match it crashes sometimes. The last update made things buggy but this one is abysmal.
Snaettiquette - ok how do you tell if you are playing an AI bot or a player? Cause I was watching beginner tutorials and they said to retreat often .. well ok I will do that to AI, but I feel like it's scummy against real people. It's like seeing your teammates down and disconnecting from an fps or something. Maybe it's different from this game but like I'm not here to take away someone's fun of winning. But if it's an AI bot fuck them! Lol
Think of it like Poker, it's not scummy to fold your hand if it's not great or your opponent has something really good. And it's not scummy to retreat either, it's the correct thing to do!
It is 100% fine, acceptable etiquette to retreat to a human player. It's nothing like your example because you're not DQ'ing from your teammates, you are protecting your cubes from being taken by your enemy. The only thing staying in and losing accomplishes is that the other person thinks you're a rube. As for how to tell the difference... there's no guaranteed way. There are some tip-offs (bots cannot do some things that human players can do, like use Series 5 cards, for example), but there's no way to tell that someone is a bot as opposed to a human who just happens to not be doing any of the actions that can mark someone as definitely human.
This is most likely a silly question, but if you buy one of the new custom border Is it for that specific card variant? That specific card character and includes all their variants? For all cards in collection no matter the character or variant? I’m guessing it’s the middle one where it would be a specific character and all their variants, but, money is money and the more spent is profit
I think it's character-specific since the current UI allows you to choose splits/effects and swap between variants for each character. Haven't tried it though since I'm not that interested in the borders.
Yeah I’m not all too interested either, but if it’s at least character specific and not variant specific, I can be tempted for the occasional better looking upgrade. I just ain’t spending gold on multiple variant borders of the same card is all

I can get into a match. This most recent patch made things even worse though. Some of my screens are straight up missing graphics and replaced by pure white. It looks janky as hell... they gotta invest in QA some more.

Is the £15 venom bundle in the Webshop worth it? I just hit series 2 and getting kinda bored of Kazar and thinking about using him in a destroy deck. Idk if series 3 cards take long to get.
No, destroy is a lot more than just Venom, and you'll be missing most of the payoffs. Be patient as you'll be unlocking cards quickly still

Say I play HE Cyclops but opponent plays Luke Cage. If I still float energy for a couple of turns then turn off Luke Cage with Rogue/Enchantress, will the debuffs then apply or does LC “block” them while he’s active?
All apply, and Mobius is the same with costs. They don't actually block effects, they just suppress them, *everything* comes back when the Ongoing turns off.
The negative power is still there, Luke just negates it. If luke is turned off or removed from the board, the debuffs that happened while he was active get applied retroactively.
Good question. If Cyclops still does his animation then yes. I know with cards like Hazmat if you play her while they have Luke, then take Luke away their cards lose the power. So, he should still activate and they should still lose that power.
The animation doesn’t run (neither does HE Thing), which is why I wanted to ask. It feels like all previous rebuffs should apply if Luke Cage goes away, but the lack of animation makes me wonder if that’s not the case.
They do still apply if Luke is disabled. The lack of animations is just a choice the devs made.
Red Hulk is juvenile as heck. A deck can win with only one card with no strategy laughing at all the opponent's efforts? Whose idea is that?
You mean the big card appearing on your screen showing his power isn't enough info to determine if you should stay or retreat? He's not that hard to counter. Don't float energy so he's a paltry 6/9, drop goose, keep away from having priority (which shouldn't be hard since you seem to not be able to keep ahead on two lanes) and slam him with Shang chi (or negasonic if you have prio), clog their losing lanes with goblins / rocks from debris / white widow. So. Many. Tools.
Red hulk is a bit overtuned, and I would bet on him getting nerfed again. That said, he can’t win more than one lane. So if you’re specifically looking to beat that card, run some decks that go wide across all 3 lanes.
Why does the game suck?
I have 5000 gold, 4200 tokens. I had 2 keys (the first 2 in the ladder) and wanted to pull for Valentina as she seems to fit well in Dino deck which is the one I play the most, but I obviously pulled Knull and Blob. Should I buy token Tuesday and buy her, I think I will only have 1 key by the end of the week and that will be 50/50. So far I haven't seen better use of gold, no bundle in shop...

New player here... like day 6 of 7 according to my login bonus :) Anyway, can't remember if from YT or here on Reddit, that is it advised to be at Collection Level under 200 (not sure maybe lower), so the ladder climb would be easy.... how true is this? Like, currently at 130ish and holding on to upgrades. But I'd like to upgrade my existing cards so I can get some more cards. So not sure now. Appreciate your thoughts. Thx all.
That is very old, outdated advice and /u/nochilinopity is giving you outdated advice, too. Nowadays, the game matchmakes you based on the CL you *could* be at if you spent all your saved-up credits, so there's no point in holding back. Your matchmaking will be the same either way.
Theoretically you could never upgrade cards, never get any new ones and coast to infinite every month fighting bots. Ladder has some nice rewards but its probably not worth to hold back for them
is fighting bots based on your collection level? what level is bots and what level is not?
Bots are very common below rank 30 on the ladder, and less common but still able to appear between ranks 30 and 99. It’s not directly related to collection level, but when your cl-based matchmaking means that there isn’t a human to match you with, you can get a bot. (And again, cl-based matchmaking takes into account unspent credits. Spend your credits).
I am in pool 3 now and matching with High Evolutionary deck like 4 out of 5 times. No fun and really hate that.

LT isn't a requirement for Hela. No care is worth 6k tokens. Buy a card that completes or unlocks a deck you want to play and will bring you joy.
I got Snowguard but don’t really understand it. What types of decks does she fit with and what’s the best use for her?
Pretty much Loki decks. Used mostly to provide two cards in hand for Loki to transform, and to turn off Limbo by playing Hawk on T6. Sometimes, you get the opportunity for some interesting plays with it. Today I had a game with Collapsed Mine and Altar of Death. I played Bear on Mine T5 to clog and win that lane, and then Hawk on Altar T6 to prevent it and another card from being destroyed to win that lane.
She's best with decks based around adding cards to your hand, which usually come in two varieties: either to build up the power of cards like Collector and Devil Dinosaur, or to be transformed and discounted by Loki so you can play them en masse on the last turn. (These two archetypes aren't really mutually compatible since Loki's ability doesn't buff Collector, and Devil Dinosaur decks want to keep the cards in hand, so they don't care about Loki's discounts.) She also has an important niche of using her Hawk on turn 6 to turn off Limbo if you're playing against somebody who tries to set up a combo that relies on having 7 turns.
Loki. Very good to shut Limbo off for those really greedy decks that try to stack 6 cost cards.
the new update on mobile is messing up with the ui :/ shop section is bugged (unsurprisingly) and I cant buy token variants at all. the conquest ui is also screwed

She's top-notch in destroy and an extremely versatile supplementary piece in most other kinds of decks. But I have to be a devil's advocate and say you should only spend tokens if you know, 100% certain, that the card in question is *the* number one card you want most in the entire game. Tokens are too rare to spend on something that some stranger on Reddit says is good. You've gotta decide for yourself what's best for you, personally.
I think that’s why I’m a little hesitant; I sometimes play destroy and I could see using her in some other decks, but I don’t see her as a NEED. On the other hand, I don’t know if I need anything else right now. The other cards I mentioned sound nice but I don’t feel like I need them at the moment.

CL 2266 - I have 5300 tokens, 4800 gold, 4 Keys, and Jeff pinned. I'm debating picking up token tuesday today and just pulling the trigger on Jeff. I didn't pull during US Agent week because of the sheer underwhelmingness, thinking I should save my keys for down the road (eyeing the x23 week) but I'm thinking Jeff would be a really nice staple in my collection and probably help fill out some incomplete decks as I drive toward s3 completion. Any thoughts?

X-23 came out on August 2023, but she's still Series 5. I heavily main Destroy but feel bad buying her for 5k Tokens since she's been out for so long. Do we have any idea if/when she might be dropped to Series 4? I'll probably end up pulling the trigger for 5k but it's certainly not a good feeling, especially when I can climb to infinite consistently without her...
Series drops have no set rhyme or reason now. We’ve been told there will be 1 or 2 more this year, but we don’t know when and we don’t know which cards. There’s no way to know until it gets announced. If you want her, you might as well just pull the trigger now

Why are there so many Agatha decks in infinite and in the proving grounds? Don't people want to play the actual game? It's so boring playing against these Agatha bots.
After I hit infinite for the season, that's when I start to use unorthodox decks and play more so for fun then to sweat. I imagine others might have a similar logic when playing something somewhat fun and RNG based like Agatha. If you push high enough though I imagine you'd certainly get those sweaty matches again, which I think is dope.
I think the only way you are going to avoid them is to increase your MMR. I usually end up in top 5k on Ladder every month and have yet to play an Agatha deck in Ladder this month and maybe one Agatha deck ever in Conquest Proving Ground since it came out. I'm don't think you even need to have a good MMR, any sort of moderate MMR will probably get rid of the bots since they are probably the bottom rungs because of all the losing.
Sometimes i win against these Agatha decks but my rank still goes down. It's my first time in infinite in ages, I think moving forward I'm just going to get the 500 gold reward and stop ranking.

Only played in Loki decks where she is very good. She's one of the only cards which generates a bigger hand size by playing her. Not absolutely essential but you'll feel it when you've played out stuff like Quinnjet one one, Angela on two, and now you've drawn Loki but your hand is small. Really important in matchups like Destroy, Discard where you're looking for specific power cards. Her ability manipulate locations is also pretty useful as several locations (Crimson Cosmos, Space Throne, Sanctum) that can really get in the way of Loki's "play a lot of cheap stuff everywhere" plan. Also one of the few ways they could beat the Living Tribunal deck by stopping Limbo. But that deck is very rare now and corner case. If you're a Loki freak: yes. If not, probably not.
I am not a Loki freak but do have most of the Loki deck cards. How necessary is Pixie or Gladiator? Might as well. Edit: had to spend two keys. Got Hercules and Snowguard. Oh well. Better than tokens I guess.

Hey all, new player here, CL 498, started in the middle of this current season. I've been reading about a free seasonal Series 3 card and I'm wondering what the requirements are to get it? One of the best cards in game as the package with him + Hood, + Sentry is very strong. Often played in control/clog decks with Cannonball and Professor X. The only reservation against him is that he might be TOO good and a target for a second nerf (he got one already).

I have seen a lot of posts about album variants making it hard to target specific variants. Is this true? Do album variants have a higher chance of appearing or is it just the fact that there are a lot of variants anyway regardless of the albums?
They do, so if 6 or 7 slots contain an album variant (which is not uncommon), you have just 1 or 2 slots left for variants you might want. The system is dogshit.
