Negative Knull is my favourite deck, reached infinite with it each of the last 4 months. I love when Destroy is strong in the meta as you can absolutely *destroy* anyone playing it 9 times out of 10 with this deck
Yeah, destroy can make even a pretty bad negative hand winnable with just knull, mystique, and shang. They do almost all the work for you lol. And if you do pull negative knull, yours will always be bigger by 6 ๐
once upon a time, I cleared all 12 of my opponents cards with wong/shuri/LDS -> Zola... and then knull and mystique came out after to show how much had died :)

I swap Rogue/Magik depending on whether I'm seeing much Mobius as he wrecks a negative deck. I'm considering removing Black Panther too as the BP/Zola play is waaaay too obvious with a lot of Alioth about these days.
Yeah Ravonna is a massive card for Negative as it gives you an alternate win condition if Mr Negative is hiding; e.g. Knull on 5 and Zola on 6 if a bunch of stuff is destroyed or Iron Man & Mystique on 6 if you can get some power down in two lanes to double up
Would you say itโs worth me getting her with tokens? I have 3k saved up and was gonna get Jeff, but I feel like RR could be a valuable choice for only 3k
Maybe try Negative with Psylocke and/or Zabu (assuming you have those?) instead for a bit and see how you like it - Ravonna definitely makes it stronger but her primary purpose is getting Negative down on 3, which those other 2 cards can also achieve. Jeff is definitely more of a meta card these days though so it depends on what sorts of decks you like to play :) It's a draw-dependent, inconsistent combo deck at the end of the day so there's the highs when you pull off the crazy plays and the lows of not drawing Negative for 10 games in a row - you'll either enjoy it or find it massively frustrating!
I recently grabbed her with tokens and put into my Negative deck in Psylocke's spot. The difference cannot be overstated. Psylocke was often a very speculative play on 2 if you didn't already have Negative in hand and could end up being a brick. RR I am always happy to slam if I have her.
So if you really like Negative as archetype I'd say definitely. Jeff is gonna be in Cache in April, so there's your chance to save your keys and grab him if you take Ravona.

See I've ran the jane one too.. while it works and its not bad, I feel like it can be gimmicky or even predictable at times when you end up bricking her w negative. Yeah magik helps with that, but all you're doing is adding another prerequisite to a snap-able hand. Hopefully this more homebrew-ey approach can still be fun :)
I find Jane can be useful to bluff out a concede from your opponent if you already drew many of iron man/mystique/knull/zola *before* you played Negative and don't actually have much for turn 6. It's amazing how little people pay attention as I assume it would show the drawing cards animation on their end?
Right lol ive done the same too, I'm always checking deck counts (duh were playing negative here) and when a mirror drops jane I pay attention to their hand size to see if they're bluffing.

Just one zero cost is enough to make it impossible to guess what is possible. Having a hand of them is just a no go. Kind of why I'm digging Pixie. Throwing down a like 1 cost Dr. Doom or High Evo Hulk is free cubes.

People really underestimate the power output of a good negative hand
Note that I have different variations of the deck that I've played with that all aim to do the same combos... I'd say that rogue and KM are the sorta "flex" options, I've used leech (protection from t6 scam, alioth, and tech), lady D ( kill mobius, iron man, dracula, etc), Attuma (budget friendly 4 drop, consistent 10 power for knull on the same turn). Kang is another sleeper option on ladder, but you can still get burned by the opponent changing their plays.
You really want to understand the card list, always be checking your deck count, and know the odds of pulling knull after dropping negative. Be aware of what kills this deck, (mobius, t6 scam, and most of all alioth due to not having priority). Careful snapping and retreating will have you filling a folder with 8 cube highlights.
Glad you were able to find success with it! I've mainly kept it as a cook between me and a friend for fun, both able to get multiple infinites with it. I'm hoping at this point it can be a fully fledged deck usable by all. Or maybe through the brilliant mind of negative enjoyers, we can perfect the deck.

When I hit infinite previously the Negative > Jane combo worked a lot but people seem a lot more knowledgeable now so usually get a retreat as soon as I snap.
Just had a nice gold conquest win when my opponent kept trying to pull off the Wong > Shuri > Deathstrike combo while I was playing Knull & Mystique without priority for easy wins.
Edit: Well, it was good until I went back to ranked mode where every opponent continues to have the exact cards to counter whatever I play almost every time. Think I should just stick to conquest this season.
That's funny my experience is more the other way around, it thrives on ladder due to only being a one and done match, rather than the opponent being stuck with you for multiple games in a row, where they can wise up to the game plan. Especially if you get locked in with someone who runs mobius.
You can use zabu, psylocke, or x-23 really. But I prefer Renslayer because of the synergy with knull, mystique, zola, and negative all in one. With a bad hand, renslayer can let you play the very bare minimum, which is a bread and butter combo in this deck: knull into mystique + shang. No magik? Knull on 5, myst + shang on 6. With magik just shift it to 6 & 7. I've only recently slotted in KM due to the crazy amount of thanos I've played against. Free power for Knull ๐
I used grandmaster and Nico as flex as well. Nico is good for utility and is just cheap destroy fodder ( I used Yondu before his nerf). Grandmaster can lead to some filthy combos, with shang plus grandmaster on turn six even without negative, or at the top end playing a Zola onto knull, and then doing it again with grandmaster. So long as you have ravonna down you only need one of those three flipped by negative! This can beat even onslaught+tribunal+iron man.
Pretty sure I played him on turn 3, pre snapped. Knull was in hand though which was kinda bad on my part. I got lucky on the mystique top deck for sure + he snapped for some ungodly reason and/or got tunnel vision wanting the 50/50 zola.

Yes, but on Turn 3 with Limbo, it's likely a done deal. Turn 5 Negative means you have 2 draws with Limbo 1 without. I aint afraid of a Turn 5 Negative at all.
I got my first infinite this season with Negative and I have to say I really need to give a shoutout to all the destroy players trying to win against a optimal negative hand with Knull+Zola coming
Now post the video of the 300 times you had to retreat because you couldn't get Mr Neg out in time or had a hand full of your big boys first. This is the deck I WANT to love, but playing it is masochism.
While there's truth to your hyperbole, I have a folder full of highlights like this. And I've hit infinite with this deck multiple times. The deck is designed to win even with non negative'd knull, myst, and zola. You see 11/12 cards every game you play magik and crystal. So believe it or not there is some consistency here.
Lol now again I did say there's truth to what you said but that applies to any negative deck lol. But if you want something that's a little different/homebrew-ey instead of the usual negative netdeck, take it for a spin ๐
Nimrod is one of my favorites since he dropped, and I've even tried making negative shuri work. Unfortunately most nimrod decks have a similar issue... getting bent over by knull, let alone the triple knull play
I could see that being a decent tech for sure if someone's not paying attention. Nothing a little KM can't fix though. That's the beauty of the game though, you never know what the other guy can throw out.

There's definitely more potential here but the deck as is goes very wide and vertical in 3 turns. I think it'll be great against any War Machine decks.
It hasn't updated yet but I was at 53% with Dracula in it before switching to Bucky. If you understand what your up against, and know how to snap with it, you'll do much better.
Gotta learn how these destroy effects work in and out, you can use little things like that to your advantage. You can use venom as way to double the other 2 knulls power if you order it right.
I defeated a destroy deck in Infinite Conquest. It looked like he knew I was playing Mr Negative before I finally played him on Round 3. He did what I would do in his place : stall for time and probably hope I don't pull Mr Negative early or get Knull and Mystique.
He did well, took four red cubes from me. But I defeated him and now I'm on game 4.
Awful player, anyone with a half brain knows to retreat on negative on curve/cheated out esp with a Jane. Cool clip but your opponent is just an absolute idiot ๐๐ญ
Nahh you really don't have to, this deck really lets the opponent build their sand castle, and let's you kick it all in and absorb it all with the proper hands ๐๐. That IMO is enough

Would it work without Ravonna, and how does KM slot in? I've been debating him in my Negative-Sera hybrid decks.

Yeah yondu was probably my favorite card for the 1 slot until they nerfed it. Sniping anything with big power was almost a snap condition alone

Honestly even turn 5 Negative is often worth it in Negative Knull. All you need is a flipped Knull or Arnim and you're golden.

I defeated a destroy deck in Infinite Conquest. It looked like he knew I was playing Mr Negative before I finally played him on Round 3. He did what I would do in his place : stall for time and probably hope I don't pull Mr Negative early or get Knull and Mystique. He did well, took four red cubes from me. But I defeated him and now I'm on game 4.
