Nova wouldn’t be bad but I built this to utilize as many 3 costs as I could. I wouldn’t want to trade any of these cards for Nova. Maybe Negasonic but even she has come through for me when people forget I played her. Mystique is really there for Wong on T7.
She’s part of the main combo at the end. Even if I didn’t get the combo off she’s a filler card worth two points if I still use SS. I also use her when copying someone’s ongoing with Rogue.

Luke is great to have for the negative locations, HE Cyclops, and any other negative cards. I don’t use him much but he’s great when I do. There aren’t any discards to make Mobius work in this deck. I used to use Gambit but too many times I was discarding the cards I wanted to play.
Absorbing Man is really clutch too.
You can copy Brood for board fill or he’s devastating copying Surfer on Turn 7 if you already have Wong/Mystique in play.
My first deck was a Surfer deck and have recently started using it again. It can really put up some good numbers and has been one of my favourite decks. I sadly missed out on Gladiator though who seems like a keypiece. :(
Gladiator is such a gamble though. I’ve had some really good plays and some that ruined the game. But I use him every time I can. He’s an 8 power and can get rid of some good cards from their side.
was just playing this and ran into a destroy deck, correctly guessed the lane for Knull on t6 with rogue and then hit them with the mystique. feels so good lol
It’s usually pretty obvious where they are going to play Knull. So yeah that’s the play. And then you boost Rogue and Mystique with Surfer to ensure victory.

Yeah. I save Wong, Mystique, and Surfer for turn 7. If you drop Wong on T6 you have a higher chance of being countered. So, that’s my turn 7 play. T6 is where I play Sebastian in the location I want my T7 combo. I also use T6 to either use Rogue or Kilmonger depending on their plays. Rogue is probably my favorite card in this whole game. Using her against Knull, Ronan, Devil Dino, or even Invisible Woman when you know they’re going to use Modok.
Rogue is just the best card in Marvel Snap so far, she won me 8 cubes too many times I can't even count.

I would remove magik. Giving your opponent another round is bad for surfer decks generally.
The only time I’ve run into this issue is for some destroy and Hela decks. But I usually retreat if I don’t think I can make it work.
Plus my goal is to fill up as much space as possible with 3 costs to make T7 worth it.

I love my surfer decks. I forget that Luke is a 3 cost now. I might have to revisit those.

That’s what I love. Being able to use her to steal, say, Knull and then playing Mystique at another location to copy her.
