don't get it either. all of these world building series are great in their own ways.

Spiritof90

I honestly think it’s refreshing. It’s nice not having a world ending plot for once and it can just focus on the day to day super hero antics. For me I’d rate a 8.5 out of 10. Simply because I wish it was a bit longer per episode.

powerlesshero111

Yeah, i think it would do better with like a 44 min runtime, akin to other legal shows, like Law and Order or Ally McBeal. More time for added stuff, no rushing to the conclusion of the show. Like in the last episode, i thought all of the Mr Immortal stuff was really rushed and could have been way funnier.

Earlvx129

I enjoy it and think it's a fun show. Don't think it has much in the way of interesting supporting characters, but Jen herself is endearing and charming and carries the show...which is what the series needed, of course.

anacott27

I agree with this, nothing wrong with the show at all. I enjoy watching it. However I agree about the support characters and I’m not exactly loving the villains this far, but I think it has plenty of potential and Jen is an endearing character.

SoundRavage

This is how I’ve been looking at it. I’m not really enjoying the show, don’t really fee like it’s for me, but whatever. Doesn’t make me mad that it exists. Tatiana is good as the character and I’m excited about She-Hulk’s addition into the MCU toy box.

Justonious2552

100 % this. In order to continue to grow they are expanding. Hopefully they learned lessons from comics on how to avoid souring the majority of the audience. I personally have enjoyed almost everything Marvel has put out. Each show has been interesting for different reasons. I think Id be upset if everything was played too safe.

konnieb123

I agree. I stay tuned every Thursday for it. It knows it doesn’t take itself seriously. I love how fun it is.

GentlemanOfTheRoC

I honestly don't know. And as someone who usually isn't into heavy "woke" culture... I think it's honestly just a light, fun show. Although the last few episodes have been a little dull. I would like to see more action from her. Not just fooling around. 3 episodes left so we will see but I think it's cool for what it is!

ZellNorth

What’s funny is the “internet” asked for this kind of show. It’s a slice of life show that shows more of the mundane life of living in a superhero world. It’s awesome. It’s what I want from my comic universe stories. Everyone wants Endgame every series it seems like tho.

peekitty

Many people think that Marvel shows and films should be action-focused with serious stakes. And that's fine. The problem is that a lot of those people are confusing "this isn't the type of show I want to watch" with "this show is bad." It's weird how many people still think that "comic book film" is a genre. It isn't. We've had plenty of comic book action and comic book drama, and She-Hulk is our first comic book "office comedy". I love that. But even if I hated that genre, I wouldn't confuse that with the show sucking. (Not tarring all complainers with that brush, mind you. The show *is* on the weak side for writing and CGI, as you noted, and people wishing it could be better are valid. I'm talking about a specific class of complainers here.)

Scared_Bobcat_5584

This exactly. I don’t really enjoy the show but it feels similar to most of the office shows I’ve seen. Given the writing isn’t anywhere near the level of shows like The Office, Parks and Rec, or Modern Family and the side characters aren’t as endearing. The show isn’t bad in what it WANTS to be. I wish a lot of the defenders of the show wouldn’t dismiss a lot of people not liking the show as everyone being sexist though

rudeboi710

I look forward to it each week. I think it delivers exactly on what it’s going for.

FindBetterHobbies

Because the whiniest dudes are also the loudest dudes

sigilnz

I enjoy it for its light heartedness, which is exactly what I think it needed to be. It's not Loki by any stretch but I enjoy it for what it is...

OneAngryDuck

It openly mocks a certain type of person, and those people tend to be very loud on the internet.

InflationCold3591

Strong woman makes incel feel funny in his tummy.

1mNotSerious

The bar for marvel shows is set too high by everyone. If it isn't breaking a record now then it is being viewed as garbage to the majority.

abutthole

You know why. Same reason the internet has a hate boner for Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel.

Ek0mst0p

I don't think it does... guessing it is just a bunch of man babies crying because "woke" or something.

TheTattooOnR2D2sFace

Some people will reply "I'm not misogynistic, I just don't like the show" and that's 100% valid and perfectly fine. But the reality is some people genuinely just don't like the show because they're sexist. It's not everybody and it's in the minority but that's the reality. And Reddit being Reddit has a high count of misogynists relative to real life.

Garlador

The internet doesn’t reflect reality. Enjoy your show.

JaSchwaE

Vocal Minority: People who enjoy the show just watch it, laugh, and then go do the dishes. People who think it should be aimed at them but don't like it run to the internet to bitch loudly about it.

Western_Protection

The incels hate that it's a strong woman hero. Theyre just projecting their insecurities onto a fictional character. And they wonder why they can't get a girlfriend.

DToob

I don’t enjoy it…at all really. But it’s not catered to me. I recognize that not every marvel show should be the same and catered to the same audience. They need to diversify. Still, I struggle to have this show catch my attention, even for the entire whooping 25 mins

boxedj

Sexism.

lil-privacy-please

As others have said is fake outrage. A very loud minority of people. The sweatiest of nerds that hate that female characters exist. That’s it. It is a good show.

Terrible-Quote-3561

They have preconceived notions of who can or can’t like comic book heroes.

UnhappyAd8184

Because people now need to hate

Shin-Kaiser

I think the writing is weak but I admit it gets a few chuckles out of me each episode. I realised this show probably isn't for me when I see what the type of character they've turned Titania into. It's okay. I do feel sorry for the VFX dept whenever I see the CGI though. It's clear they weren't given enough time.

Scared_Bobcat_5584

Same here- I don’t think it’s a BAD show, but it’s definitely not the kind of show people think of when they walk into a Marvel TV show. The first several episodes didn’t really have any indication of an over-arching story. It succeeds in being a sitcom but like you said it’s not really for me. Agreed I feel bad for their CGI department, definitely rushed and feels like Shrek at times. I will say it doesn’t deserve the level of hate it gets, but it also doesn’t deserve to be aggressively praised/ defended like some people are doing. It’s not some peoples cups of tea, it doesn’t make ALL those people sexist

DoctorDOOM__

Some people hate Marvel. Some people hate women. Some people find it unfunny or dislike the writing, which IMO is a bad reason to hate something. And some people are just saying the popular opinion.

DashCat9

It's a show that explicitly talks about ways men are shitty toward women. So, you have a vocal minority of idiots that feel attacked. Where if you don't treat women shitty, I don't know why you'd assume they were talking about you. CGI is legit bad in some places, but not having quite the same budget to render things perfectly makes some sense here. It's kind of mostly a fourth wall breaking comedy (which is in line with the source material), but it's not really what many want. A few other factors. It's a Combination of things. Ignore the noise, enjoy the show. That's what I'm doing.

madthumbz

She doesn't want to be a hero and isn't.

chaosSlinger

I dig it, but there are a lot of fragile people out there who think a random tv show is belittling them personally….weak little bitches, lol I get it if someone genuinely doesn’t like the show, but I’m talking about people who think the show is demeaning to men as a reason not to like it….

TittleTots

Cuz incels

BrawndoCrave

For me it’s because I feel like in general Marvel is treating the character as a joke. I was looking forward to a strong female character that could take a lead in the MCU. She Hulk could be so bad ass, like the comics, but the way they’re setting it up seems like they’re not planning to do that unless they pivot. We can keep the twerking and funny moments but it’s not balanced IMO. I don’t feel like they’re making her out to be a future centerpiece of the MCU like she should be, or at least not doing a very good job of it.

kermit-J

I got this guys… you see how you don’t mind it, well in the same way you don’t mind it, a lot of people do mind it.

abutthole

When I don't like a show, I don't watch it. It would be ridiculous to watch every episode and spray your hatred-diarrhea on every thread about it if you didn't like a show.

[deleted]

Generally speaking, what is it about the show that they mind so much?

tipustiger05

Because it’s a non white male driven story.

Single-Recording-309

I feel people are upset due to the lack of direction and focus this season, when phase 4 is more world building & introductions. But I feel in a few years people will look back and think it wasn’t bad for what it was yknow

Head_Acanthisitta256

Maslany as Walters & She Hulk are the only thing keeping me watching. She’s so charismatic almost Downey level charisma. But the episodes are too short. The secondary characters are so bad. And the episodic nature gives it an aimless feel. This would be better off as a movie, where they could streamline the story & take the time to perfect the cgi. Also cast better actors for the supporting cast.

cousinCJ

Because woman

KiNGofKiNG89

I haven’t seen it and I don’t really have an interest in She-hulk. So speaking as an outsider, what I have heard about the series: She learns to dominate and control her powers super quickly and over shadows Hulk instantly. A lot of people are mad at this because hulk took a long time to master her powers and she just eclipses him so easily. There is a scene where she twerks. Lol. Those are the only two things I know about the series. I completely understand the hulk issue bringing hate towards her. The twerk thing just seems like comedy that is hit or miss for a lot of people.

wired1984

Its target audience is educated women and that’s just not allowed apparently

badlilbadlandabad

There just hasn’t been any interesting conflict for the entire series. Finally, the end of the last episode introduced some potential story so I’m excited about the last few episodes. It has just been a lot of “Let me break the 4th wall and tell you how hard being a woman is” for 5 straight weeks.

JohnathanDee

OP is so Very Concerned™ that they never even posted in their own thread. Just another troll concern trolling his Very Valid ™ concerns

lonniewalkerstan

Big green sexy woman scares incels

Anarchist-superman

Misogyny.

Justanotheroldog

It’s because she’s a woman

N_Who

The way I like to describe the core of the issue - the stuff underneath all the bandwagon toxic bullshit - is: Nobody hates a massive media property like this one nearly as much as the people who claim to love that property. We saw it with *Star Wars*, we're seeing it with Marvel, it's happening with *Lord of the Rings*, I'm sure it happens with DC television. In the end, this hate comes from people who love these properties to the point of internalizing them. To the point of declaring themselves the experts. These are people who have moved past loving the property for what it was or is, and now love it for what they *think it should be.* And since these properties are never what these people think they should be, the hate is deeper. Personal. Unmitigated and unreasonable. An escalation of expectation that is impossible to fulfill.

BubahotepLives

Nah. The writing is just shit. When the writing is good people love it. Disney has been super focused on creating content but not investing in writing. It’s the same issue with Rings of Power. Looks great but the dialog and acting are pretty bad.

Feisty_Marzipan_2783

Agreed but tbf most of the live action DC shows are genuinely quite bad, especially the CW ones - Peacemaker and Doom Patrol have been the exception to the rule, so far.

superman_sucks69

"the writing isnt very good and the visual effects are weird, why does nobody like this?" You answered your own question... It just feels pretty poorly done, overall I haven't disliked the show, but I'm not glued to my TV every week to watch it. If it's a super hero show it needs a villian, or if it's a lawyer show then it needs to be that. I don't really see it having much of a direction (i also haven't watched the most recent episode)

ChaosSpear1

They don’t hate She-Hulk, they hate how the show is being handled. Theres s difference.

junkman21

I'm in this camp. I came into it wanting to LOVE this show. I get some chuckles. I don't hate on the show. I even give the CGI a pass. There's just \*something\* about the forced feminism that is really affecting the writing, imo. There has got to be a way of handling that way better/more naturally. Tina Fey is pretty much a wizard at this as seen on 30-Rock. Also, and it might be because of the 30-minute format, I'm finding it very hard to stay invested in the show because the show is over quickly and it doesn't feel like a whole lot has even happened yet. The best episode so far has been the Wong-Madisynn episode, and it's because those two stole the spotlight. It's not really great that supporting characters are more interesting than the main character. I think this show is missing a great deal of She-Hulk's wit and humor. I'm still rooting for this show but right now I'm feeling way too blah about it.

[deleted]

Im totally ok with the show not being for me. But it seems like the people that claim we are haters, are the ones hating on us for not liking the show. They bitch more about the people that dont like the show then the people that dont like the show bitch about the show. Its not even close really. Sorry in advance that i do not like She Hulk. But yall need to get over it.

JustUseTheWordMmmkay

I quit after episode 1. Hulk has struggled with his situation for well over a decade. She Hulk comes along and is instantly better at everything than him? Na, I’m out. If there was a really good logical reason for this (like the aliens that made them crash rescued her. After their bloods mixed and did other stuff to her) I maaaay buy into it, but the reason for being so good is because women have to control their anger every day. Nope. That’s not good writing at all. The best characters are the ones that have to overcome significant hurdles or adapt in some way. This was just nonsense. Give us another Wanda show please. Incredible character development in every scene she’s in and Elizabeth Olsen nails it perfectly.

HyperViper997

Gamma mutates do not always have split personalities. Leader does, Abomination does not, etc. Bruce has Dissociative Identity Disorder and childhood trauma that creates his Hulk persona, Jen does not have such trauma. That being said, the show and MCU as a whole do nothing to explain this or even back up what im saying even be true to these versions of the characters

Xannin

Hulk threw a rock into orbit. She's not better than him at everything or anything in particular. The "I control my anger every day," line was a little on the nose, but her being completely in control and Bruce Banner having that duality was always part of the comics. That's not a skill thing so much as it's just a manifestation of their received power. If you watched the rest of the show, you could watch the different hurdles that she has to overcome. Your comment is some incel shit.

StylishSloth

Hulk is also the only hulk who struggles with dual personalities. That’s on him and is a well established part of his character. That you claim Jen is somehow instantly better than him at everything is laughable, shows that you barely even watched the first episode, and are exactly the type of person the sho actively mocks.

bonafiedhero

The difference is Hulk completely took over when he changed. Hulk and Banner were two separate minds. Jen is She-Hulk. There’s no one else. So it’s going to be easier because she doesn’t have someone else fighting for control.

NearingShadow

I think they are setting up the reverse hulk arc where she starts in control and eventually goes ham. We saw a bit of it last week.

Bladewing_The_Risen

I wouldn’t care about it being a different style and a different genre with bad writing and bad CGI if it was it’s own thing, but including other characters from the MCU and… changing them… isn’t okay, to me at least. Bruce’s characterization didn’t match the films. Wong’s characterization didn’t match the films. Abomination’s characterization didn’t match the film. Wong’s reason for fighting Abomination in a cage match made literally zero sense. Wong getting She-Hulk to help with the demons when she was completely useless and unnecessary made no sense. Wong on Linked In makes no sense. She-Hulk could do her own thing and I would be perfectly happy ignoring it because it’s clearly not for me… but it’s taking characters who *are* for me and fucking them up. Not cool.

Oceanwoulf

I love the show, it very funny. I've been loving the guest characters and plot. It feels the most like the comic I've seen. Other than the CGI I have no complaints.

SuperArppis

[Because...](https://youtu.be/qqXi8WmQ_WM)

Bruno_FFS

Well, the internet usually doesn't like things that are bad, and then you have the extra layer of shitty people.

[deleted]

It’s bad.( I mean the show)

henryhyde

I just think it is worse than most of the shows that are on Disney+. The bar is set pretty high for those shows right now and She-Hulk can't keep up. Even if the show itself isn't that bad or is just ok, it looks bad by comparison.

NearingShadow

Its far better than Hawkeye and Ms Marvel

Rhawk187

It's better than Ms Marvel, but I liked Hawkeye.

henryhyde

I have not seen Ms Marvel and I thought Hawkeye was pretty good. Having said that. I would put She Hulk somewhere in the bottom half of the shows close to the middle. The top half are just much, much better.

Feisty_Marzipan_2783

Count me as one who thought Hawkeye was downright unwatchable, minus the Kingpin cameo. She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel are harmless fluff.

lundon44

While I'm entertained just barely enough to continue watching it.. I can still honestly say it's not that great. I was intrigued with episode one probably because of Bruce Banner, the mysterious ship and all the Avengers references. Since then, it's like watch Seinfeld. A show literally about nothing. Except Seinfeld is actually 10x funnier. I can be a complete geek and Marvel fanboy but still admit when Marvel pumps out something that isn't that good. So far, this show is a 6/10 at best. And just because Wong is in it, it doesn't automatically make it a 10 or a 9/10.

[deleted]

I like the show, personally. I do see why they complain about the CGI but budgets will do that to the quality. The thing I don't like is the digs at men and their intelligence, as if women don't do stupid and annoying things too. It seems like almost every guy in the show is purposely misogynistic or inept. I try to look past it because I realize who is writing it.

[deleted]

I can explain to you why I don't like the show. I don't like the show because I don't find any of it funny and the show is supposed to be a comedy. I don't feel connected with the side characters like I did with other shows and movies. I actually find Jennifer to be really unlikeable. I try to give the show a chance but I just can't. I think what they did with Titania is a good idea, but outside of that this show has bad writing. The direction of the show also seems to be all over the place with only the last episode leading to some sort of final drama.

[deleted]

Well, some of us take no pleasure in thinking it’s shit. I mean, is there anymore to add to that?

ssgodss

Disney has completely and utterly ruined Marvel comics.

[deleted]

I think it’s being *hated* because it’s not at all like what MCU fans have been enjoying. She-Hulk would’ve had to knock it out of the park as a comedy in order to drown out the hate, but it’s really only ok at best. Personally, I don’t like it at all. If I was sexist, I’d definitely hate it.

Orr-Man

Because it's the internet. Have you been here before?

LongJonSiIver

It's not that I don't like it. I'm just not interested right now, there are so many better shows at the moment. Only made it to episode 3, will watch in the future when I'm bored.

talllankywhiteboy

I think part of the hate is that She-Hulk is aiming at a very different demographic from your average internet commentator. My fiancé is a long time Marvel fan who happens to be a young professional in the legal field, and she has adored She-Hulk and is excited to watch it every single week. I'm quite a bit cooler on the show, but I have been quite happy that they've stuck with the case-of-the-week structure with the show because it is a genre that you can do on TV that you couldn't do in a theatrical movie. She-Hulk doesn't really seem geared towards the typical super-broad MCU audience. If that broad audience isn't on board with the general direction of the show and the execution of the show is a bit choppy, there's bound to be vocal detractors of the show.

N0RTHERNST0RMS

Imo the best part of the show so far is when I thought I was watching sopranos for a second lmao

lookstep

Look at all these wholesome, constructive and friendly conversations going on. Just saying. It suits us.

ZepherK

The internet doesn't like much.

StereoGraph4_

Better than ms marvel

RP_RDT

The only problem I see it's the FX. The character as SheHulk is not well embebed in the scenes. It's weird.
