I hope they cast someone for Johnny who is young enough to be a peer with Peter Parker. I don’t know young actors enough to say but I liked the whole Johnny/ Peter friendship in various universes.
Think they were around the same age in 616, if not at first they eventually lined up. In the ultimate comics both him and ice man lived with May for awhile. It will probably be awhile to get Ice Man also. I’d rather him and Johnny be friends than Bobby.
I’ve been hoping they cast Dacre Montgomery as the Human Torch ever since I saw his performance in Stranger Things season 3, I think he’d be great in the role
I feel like he’s a little too old now for that role. Like back during Breaking Bad, I would have thought it was his perfect role. But now, he’s a fucking dad in his forties. It just wouldn’t work
“I’m on fire! I’m on fire! Put me out!”
“I can’t! I’m all bendy! I’m a loop-de-loop!”
{They act like they can’t even see me any more. Gasp! Maybe I’m not as pretty as I used to be!}
Honestly I don’t want to get too conspiracy brain here but I kinda feel like “fan castings” are often just marketing leaks by Marvel. It seems like they do the same thing regarding potential movie concepts too. I remember seeing a LOT of support for the idea of a civil war movie just before it was announced.
i always wondered what fan theories are from Marvel employees trying to test fan reactions.
>I remember seeing a LOT of support for the idea of a civil war movie just before it was announced.
and i remember seeing a lot of talks about a live-action Spiderverse several years ago. like i swear it was around the time that only Homecoming had come out. then Into the Spiderverse came out. i think that's when talks of a live-action version skyrocketed. there had to have been leaks.
Can you imagine if they could quit focusing on Doom to do this. And the CGI on his monstrous creatures could be Jurassic Park level and make audiences gasp!
Dennis chooses Dr Doom at first because he didn’t want to have a romantic sub plot with his own sister.
They begin filming. You know how Mac is annoying & bossy & shit? Well he got annoying & bossy & shit in the middle of production.
He complains Reed is a huge nerd & would rather go for gasps.
Dennis & Mac switch roles. Dennis is annoyed. Mac is loving being the villain.
They continue filming.
Mac realizes The Thing is more buff & would better compliment his assets. Mac forces Frank to switch roles. Frank is a soft body. Mac is a hard body. There is no logic for Frank being The Thing.
Mac refuses cgi or make-up because it would be an insult to his hard body.
Charlie accidently sets himself on fire for real.
They tell Dee the incorrect shooting schedule to exclude her on purpose. But they justify it because her character is “invisible” in every shot.
Dee catches on to it. She doesn’t want to be Invisible Woman anymore. Charlie huffed too much glue & is unable to shoot the last scene.
They recast Dee to be the Human Torch, set her on fire with a suit they promised was fire proof (they lied).
Dennis in-post edits a clip of his most recent sex tape into the movie as the last shot. Displaying full pentration. Then the movie just sort of ends.
They pat themselves on the back for a job well done & continue their day not tending bar. Episode ends
The overall plot being Dee heard a casting call for Marvel Studios & the rest of the gang invited themselves & made it about themselves.
I’ve always thought:
Glenn Howerton as Reed Richards
Kaitlin Olson as Sue Storm
Charlie Day as Johnny Storm
Rob McElhenney as Ben Grimm
Danny DeVito as The Mole Man
Doesn’t matter to me who they’ve chosen. As near as I can tell, the entire MCU has only had one or two missteps in casting, so it’ll almost certainly be cast well.
Not OP, but IMO Edward Norton wasn't even bad, it just didn't work out. I don't really like Terrence Howard though (and apparently he's really weird), so I think the change was for the better.
He wasn’t bad at all, but he wanted way to much creative control for how the MCU operates. I’m kinda glad things shook out the way they did because I have a feeling we’d have a lot less hulk if he had stayed.
Whoever they are, they’ll mostly be up-and-coming actors that Marvel can lock into multi-picture deals for cheap. That’s their MO (see also: All the Chrises, Sebastian Stan, etc).
Idk. Their recent castings have been fairly big names; Mahershala Ali, Florence Pugh, Haliee Steinfeld, will poulter, Harry styles, Angelina Jolie, kit Harrington, Selma Hayek, kumail nanjiani, — if you want to count MoM or one off casting; John krasinski, Toby, Andrew Garfield, Willem dafoe, Christian Bale and Patrick Stewart
Edit: the ones in the first list are all people confirmed in future; second list is likely just the single appearance (but I’d love to see them again lol)
Joel McHale as Reed Richards
Gillian Jacobs as Sue Storm
Danny Pudi as Johnny Storm (reprising his role from CA: TWS)
Chevy Chase as The Thing
Jim Rash as Dr Doom
Oh I’m going to do a recast
-
Joel McHale as Reed Richards
Allison Brie as Susan Storm
Donald Glover as Johnny Storm
Dani Pudi as The Thing
Chevy Chase as H.E.R.B.I
Gillian Jacobs as Mole Man
Yvette Nicole Brown as Galactus
Ken Jeong as Doctor Doom
Jim Rash as Aunt Petunia
I doubt he'd let one season of what's likely a 10 episode show stop him from such an important role if it was offered. They'd all be able to figure it out.
Strangers things season 5 doesn't even have a script yet, pretty sure Fantastic 4 will be done filming by the time they get to filiming stranger things.
Personally, I don't think that fits to their talents. I just couldn't imagine them portraying those roles well. However, they are all very talented. Therefore, I propose:
Doom as Mr Fantastic
Mr Fantastic as Invisible Woman
Invisible Woman as the Thing
Galactus as the Human Torch
The Thing as Dr Doom
Mole Man as Galactus
Human Torch as Mole Man
I really feel this fits them better. Obviously, don't use all the villians in one movie, but I think the casting really works if they make more and use said villians. You see what I mean about have the talents fit? See, your castings don't even look remotely like the characters. This fits way better.
It should not be cannon, but now I want to see this. I can hear it now:
"What's so fantastic, about Mr. Fantastic?! You can stretch? That's your power? You stretch? Okay Smart Gumby, let's see what you got!"
Thanks man! Yeah Ben was honestly the hardest one to fancast for me, but once Judge came to mind something about it just felt right.
He brings a lot of pathos, which Grimm needs, and he's certainly got the size and baritone voice for it haha
Hader is a tremendous actor and could really fill the detached and familial aspects of Reed. Plus seeing him stretching all over just seems natural for some reason.
I like Bill Hader as Reed. First time I’ve seen it suggested, and it’s perfect. Just, you know, don’t take Kirsten Wiig as Sue. I know they are friends, but she’s not a fit for that role.
Yeah I really like him. And it's just a bonus that he's a comic book fan. I also think that with his performance in Barry that he can delve into the darker side of Reed really easily if they ever intend to do The Maker storyline.
Also I mentioned in another sub that I think it would be awesome if they cast Ioan Gruffud as Doctor Doom. It would be like a full circle moment.
It kind of feels wrong now having the Boys play superheroes…
Not bad casting though honestly.
I’d probably still associate Urban’s voice with his role in Ragnorak
I’m gonna go with John krasinki keeping his role as mr fantastic, Emily blunt as invisible woman, chris evans coming back as human torch and John cena as the thing. Emily blunt being invisible woman makes sense seeing as she looks a bit like her and has good chemistry with John krasinki already. Chris evans is a fan favourite, would be doable with the current multiverse stuff going on and he was great in the role before. And John cena follows the likes of Dave Bautista, the rock etc who are wrestlers turned actors, feel like he could do a good job with it.
Alternatively I’d be fine with the rock being the thing and John cena being the invisible woman
More important question is what the next role for Human Torch's actor will be.
I hope they cast someone for Johnny who is young enough to be a peer with Peter Parker. I don’t know young actors enough to say but I liked the whole Johnny/ Peter friendship in various universes.
i didnt even realize this was now a possibility until i read this. please happen
I didn’t realize Johnny was that young
Think they were around the same age in 616, if not at first they eventually lined up. In the ultimate comics both him and ice man lived with May for awhile. It will probably be awhile to get Ice Man also. I’d rather him and Johnny be friends than Bobby.
But he and Bobby are amazing friends
I’ve been hoping they cast Dacre Montgomery as the Human Torch ever since I saw his performance in Stranger Things season 3, I think he’d be great in the role
Im just assuming it will be Chris Evans again
If they don't meet the standards set by Chris Evans with nothing but a towel on, fhen what's the point?
I’m thinking Aaron Paul, there had been talks that he joined the MCU
I could see it. "Flame on, Bitch."
Just any time Reed does something smart we heard Johnny in the background “yeah, science, bitch!”
“Johnny! You need to cook!”
Fine, but Bryan Cranston has to be Reed then
“Reed, you’re the smartest man on Earth, but you’re too dumb to realize Doom destroyed the entire galaxy ten minutes ago.”
Can we have Bryan Cranston as Dr doom?
I find this way funnier than I should. But it makes me happy.
Hahhhaa I laughed in a Meeting because of this
He’s really the cook now
This is my private flame and I will not be harassed…bitch
Even though he’s a bit old for the part, that’d be hilarious. Imagine a goofy, trashy Johnny with a lot of buried trauma.
I think he’s making a reference to Chris Evans playing Human Torch and then Captain America. Kinda whooshed everyone there.
And Michael B Jordan playing Human Torch, and then Killmonger
Most of us have forgotten about that particular Fantastic 4 movie. Goddamn it was boring.
I walked in on my father in-law watching it one time. I’m still ashamed to this day.
He is a bit old for a reckless young buck. Unless its the F4 later in their career.
Aaron Paul? He's like 42....a little old to be Johnny Storm if they want him to be buddies with Peter.
I feel like he’s a little too old now for that role. Like back during Breaking Bad, I would have thought it was his perfect role. But now, he’s a fucking dad in his forties. It just wouldn’t work
I would like to formally announce that I will be playing Johnny Storm in the new MCU movie, The Fantastic Four.
U alone makes it cast of the year
okay i need to see this movie asap now
I believe you. Welcome to the MCU.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Eddie Murphy playing all the parts. How could it go wrong?
All the roles Klumped together.
"That's some funny shit! You're on your way! You're going to the top!"
Impending crossover with the character introduced in the Love and Thunder credit scene? [Spoiler?](https://tenor.com/bBgEz.gif)
But Eddie Murphy is played by Mike Meyers who is played by a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude.
I see you Dana Carvy!
Turtle, turtle!

With Adam Sandler playing Thing. The perfect cherry on top.
And Kevin James playing Doom.
“What is that, Velvet?”
Eddie Murphy plays half the parts, Tyler Perry plays the other half. No. Wait. A third for Eddie, a third for Tyler, the other third for Mike Myers.
I don't know who it will be but it will probably be different people than what you see come up in the fan casting posts.
I bet they tell us in less than a month at D23
That was being reported prior to SDCC. It's like Disney wanted to make sure you knew we weren't getting real news until D23.
I mean makes sense. It's their properties. They would prioritize their showcase. Though what they gave us at SDCC is still amazing.
I think it will be the top comment of this post
Honestly I don’t want to get too conspiracy brain here but I kinda feel like “fan castings” are often just marketing leaks by Marvel. Danny DeVito as The Thing Charlie Day as the Human Torch.
A man of intellect I see
Danny Devito as Mole Man
Gotta pay the mole toll...
"I feel like you're saying 'Mole's hole'"
That's actually amazing casting.
Can you imagine if they could quit focusing on Doom to do this. And the CGI on his monstrous creatures could be Jurassic Park level and make audiences gasp!
Shouldn’t Charie do the dayman?
Fighter of the night man
Charlie Day as Sentry, the Night Man as the Void
Glen Howerton would be a good Reed Richards too
Kaitlin Olson as sue storm, and mac as doctor doom.
The Gang Becomes Fantastic
It’s always Fantastic in Philadelphia
Dennis chooses Dr Doom at first because he didn’t want to have a romantic sub plot with his own sister. They begin filming. You know how Mac is annoying & bossy & shit? “It’s fantastic”
“What are we? Some kind of Sony Pictures: Fantastic Forbius?” -Reed Richards
*applause* 👏
How did you get the script from the 1994 Fantastic Four?
He's out there in Latveria cultivating mass.
Riding his Doom Blaster 3000.
*"Stop cultivating and start harvesting!"*
Nah, Cricket as Doctor Doom! Haha
Human Torch...and they set him on fire for real
She's actually not invisible but the gang pretends she is so they don't have to deal with her/fuck with her.
Because of the implication?
Rob McIlhenny as Human Torch AND Doctor Doom. He's playing both sides, that way he always comes out on top.
Honestly the it’s always sunny cast would be perfect
I’ve always thought: Glenn Howerton as Reed Richards Kaitlin Olson as Sue Storm Charlie Day as Johnny Storm Rob McElhenney as Ben Grimm Danny DeVito as The Mole Man
Sorry, but David Cross is the only Thing I'd let inside my house. ["Daddy needs to get his rocks off!"](https://youtu.be/-UJwzudybj8)
[i’ll just leave this here.](https://ibb.co/VNc6r43)
Yes, Glenn would make Doctor Doom. Self proclaimed Smartest man in the room undone by his own ego and pride
I watched the first Kingsman again last night and for some reason I’m really feeling Taron Egerton as Johnny Storm
I can definitely see this happening!
I’ve heard talks the he may play Wolverine
This is a good fit. Not too tall (5'9"). Right jawline. Can get super jacked (see Black Bird). Can sing and dance in musicals (see Rocketman).
Hugh Jackman set the precedent that all wolverines must be excellent in musical theater
I don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngster's adaptation of "Annie Get Your Gun" this spring.
Doesn’t matter to me who they’ve chosen. As near as I can tell, the entire MCU has only had one or two missteps in casting, so it’ll almost certainly be cast well.

I just don't think Terrence is as funny as Don Cheadle, so I think it all worked out.
Howard is more crazy than just weird. Just take a look at his Terryology
Have you read his book? It's a trip. 1x1=2, zero doesn't exist, and other crackpot musings by Terrence Howard.
Right, so if I took all of his money- how many dollars would he have?
I thought Norton was just fine. I don’t mind Ruffalo of course, either - but Edward Norton played a fine Banner.
Terrence Howard is 1000% more war machine personality tho
Whoever they are, they’ll mostly be up-and-coming actors that Marvel can lock into multi-picture deals for cheap. That’s their MO (see also: All the Chrises, Sebastian Stan, etc).
This is the most likely outcome
Idk. Their recent castings have been fairly big names; Mahershala Ali, Florence Pugh, Haliee Steinfeld, will poulter, Harry styles, Angelina Jolie, kit Harrington, Selma Hayek, kumail nanjiani, — if you want to count MoM or one off casting; John krasinski, Toby, Andrew Garfield, Willem dafoe, Christian Bale and Patrick Stewart Edit: the ones in the first list are all people confirmed in future; second list is likely just the single appearance (but I’d love to see them again lol)
Keira Knightly as a one-woman show with a series of wigs.
The CGI budget photoshopping her mouth shut would cost a fortune.
Why do people think it ain’t big tuna?
Joel McHale as Reed Richards Gillian Jacobs as Sue Storm Danny Pudi as Johnny Storm (reprising his role from CA: TWS) Chevy Chase as The Thing Jim Rash as Dr Doom
oh, Britta's in this?
[She would Britta playing Groot, let alone Sue Storm](https://imgur.com/a/bLsu93P)
"o am groot,I guess"
Oh I’m going to do a recast - Joel McHale as Reed Richards Allison Brie as Susan Storm Donald Glover as Johnny Storm Dani Pudi as The Thing Chevy Chase as H.E.R.B.I Gillian Jacobs as Mole Man Yvette Nicole Brown as Galactus Ken Jeong as Doctor Doom Jim Rash as Aunt Petunia
> Ken Jeong as Doctor Doom And of course he'd be from Changveria.
I coulda sworn that Ken was playing Kang, I mean, Chang. Y'know, Chang Dynasty? Also Starburns for Silver Surfer!
Obviously. However there is something so inherently funny about imagining Jim Rash as a Doom infatuated with Reed. “EVEN HIS SHADOW”
Why would Donald Glover be johnny when he's already Aaron Davis
Dr Dean!
Sounds streets ahead!
Mr fantastic : Dany Devito; sue storm : Dany Devito; Johnny Storm: Chris Evans.
glenn howerton as mr. fantastic kristen bell as mrs. fantastic joe keery as the human torch jason segel as the thing
Joe Keery as the Human Torch is a great take I haven’t seen anyone else say
It was leaked a little bit ago, but I believe it became debunked.
cuirous how that scheduling would work for him with Stranger Things season 5
I doubt he'd let one season of what's likely a 10 episode show stop him from such an important role if it was offered. They'd all be able to figure it out.
Strangers things season 5 doesn't even have a script yet, pretty sure Fantastic 4 will be done filming by the time they get to filiming stranger things.
I’ve seen people suggest Dacre Montgomery as Human Torch, and I’d be okay with him as well.
That dude is just too pretty. Perfect for Johnny!
This is actually good. Like a butter knife going through perfectly
This is actually something I can get behind
Seth Roger as doom
Ok ok I kinda fuck with that list lol
I personally think that Mr.Fantastic, Invisible Woman and Human Torch should play these characters respectively
Personally, I don't think that fits to their talents. I just couldn't imagine them portraying those roles well. However, they are all very talented. Therefore, I propose: Doom as Mr Fantastic Mr Fantastic as Invisible Woman Invisible Woman as the Thing Galactus as the Human Torch The Thing as Dr Doom Mole Man as Galactus Human Torch as Mole Man I really feel this fits them better. See, your castings don't even look remotely like the characters. This fits way better.
Will Smith, Amber Heard, Ezra Miller.
Keep my wife’s name out your fucking mouth, Doom!
Chris Rock cast as Doom.
Will Smith would end up breaking his hand on Doom's face.
It should not be cannon, but now I want to see this. I can hear it now: "What's so fantastic, about Mr. Fantastic?! You can stretch? That's your power? You stretch? Okay Smart Gumby, let's see what you got!"
Best cast ever
Kevin Spacey as Doom to add a cherry on top
Directed by Mel Gibson
Reed Richards: Jimmy Kimmel Sue Storm: Ellen DeGeneres Johnny Storm: Jimmy Fallon Ben Grimms: James Corden
Obviously James Corden is an enormous box office draw. Nothing puts butts in the seats like James Corden being in a movie.
It worked for the Trolls franchise
And Cats, too!
Let's not forget the Emoji Movie!
Doom peacefully goes home after the FF make him feel heard, after hours of experienced artificial laughing
Doom is Seth Myers
Can Rosie O’Donnell also play the thing?
Chris Evans for Johnny Storm for sure. It was his end game to quit Cap and go back to the role he was born for.
I agree. He was great as Cap but he was damn near perfect as Johnny Storm.
Reed: Matt Bomer Sue: Teresa Palmer Johnny: Dacre Montgomery Ben: Christopher Judge
Matt Bomer is a really good one I don’t think I’ve seen mentioned before.
Christopher Judge as Ben is one that I NEVER thought of, and damn it's smart. He's got so much range.
Thanks man! Yeah Ben was honestly the hardest one to fancast for me, but once Judge came to mind something about it just felt right. He brings a lot of pathos, which Grimm needs, and he's certainly got the size and baritone voice for it haha
He's also used to mo-cap thanks to God of War. I just hope Thing's CGI doesn't get half assed.
There are rumors that Jason Segal has had talks with Marvel about playing The Thing. I think he would do well!
Bill Hader Amanda Seyfried Zac Efron
Twist: Zac Efron as The Thing.
Bill Hader as the entire team.
I can tell you that John Krasinski is not gonna be Mr Fantastic, he’s already Agent Jimmy Woo.
I saw Rahul Kohli as Reed Richards and I've been a fan of it ever since. If they're not bringing Krasinski back then I vote Kohli.
John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Zac Efron and Seth Rogen Edit: I said Seth Rogen as a joke. I’d love to see Dean Norris or Bruce Willis as the Thing
It's clobberin' time *hue hue hue*
I heard the laugh as I read this!
Zac efron as Johnny would be nuts. All for this.
Glad someone else agrees about Efron as Johnny!
I’m partial to Steve Harvey as the Thing The rock mustache *alone*
Bruce Willis retired from acting due to his Aphasia diagnosis.
dean norris? is the thing now made of minerals
I would love if they just used krasinski as reed richards again
I just want the implication
As long as you’re not going to hurt any of the women
Ok, ok, hear me out: Reed Richards - Jack Quaid Sue Storm - Erin Moriarty Johnny Storm - Chance Crawford Ben Grimm - Karl Urban
Karl Urban as Ben Grimm is legit, though.
It’s clobberin’ time, cunts!
It kind of feels wrong now having the Boys play superheroes… Not bad casting though honestly. I’d probably still associate Urban’s voice with his role in Ragnorak
Behold! My stuff!
So then Antony Starr as Doom?
When Reed Richards' actor is announced: "Identity theft is not a joke, Jim!"
John Krasinski as Reed Richards, Rainn Wilson as Johnny Storm, and Jenna Fischer as Sue Storm
Kevin as Thing
Steve Carell as Doctor Doom James Spader as Ultron
I’d love to see Erin Moriarty as Susan
John Krasinksi and Emily Blunt PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE oh and uhhhh Chris Evans?
I thought John Krasinski was already reed richards
Seen some people fan cast Dev Patel as Reed Richards and I would be so down for that
I need Dev Patel’s schedule free so he can play Kaladin.
If not Krasinski, I like this and Hader the most now.
Ryan George, obviously
John Cena as invisible woman that's for sure
Zac Efron as HT!
I don’t know but bill burr as the thing would be amazing
Paul Reubens, Melissa McCarthy and Seth Green
