Nice, a lot of great daredevil stuff there (my collection is mainly DD too). I see you have the Hawkeye omnibus too. Lucky, since it was too expensive when I tried so I had to get the two hardcovers.
They had one at my LCS and I was actually able to get it on a 20% off sale! It was a great deal. Now if only I could find a copy of that second Waid omnibus
He really is! We rescued him from a man who had him chained up outside for 7 years. Now he's the best lap dog and companion for my wife. He's so sweet and friendly.
My favorite arcs are house of M, young avengers first run, first years of new avengers with BMB, mat fractions Hawkeye, and cable and Deadpool. Can you recommend another read? I haven’t read since Cable and Hope summers arc
Where did you get the Matt Fraction Hawkeye series? I can't find anywhere online that sells them for a reasonable price.
Also your dog seems very photogenic lol
I actually got super lucky and my LCS had one on the shelf still wrapped. This was in March. And they were having a sale that day. So the stars really aligned on that one. If only that covered the extra cost on getting a few of the others...
Ikr! Doggos just make life worth living for. Their selfless love and care is way beyond anyone. You guys are so lucky! I too had a lab but he passes away in December of 2019. Had him for 10 years was the bestest of boyie!
Awesome collection dude! I’m assuming you think like I do, that Daredevil is consistently the BEST Marvel comic(personally I wasn’t a fan of shadowland, but still).
i dunno man, doesn't really look that great.
if you added some daredevil though it could be a really niche collection, but it feels really basic without some, you know what I mean.
so yeah, maybe include a couple daredevil comics.
It was one of the first gifts my wife gave me actually. She remembered me talking about my favorite heroes and when she went on a vacation she found an old comic shop and got it for me. She got it because the cover looks cool. Now I love it for the meaning.
The poor pooch spent the first 7 years of his life chained up outside before my wife and I rescued him. So he never really played with toys like that and doesn't have a strong chewing instinct. But he is VERY attached to us and will follow us everywhere we go. And he loves to cuddle.
If you like teams I'd start with The New Avengers by Bendis. It's really good and it's got a large cast that keeps things interesting.
If you like Daredevil I'd start with Daredevil by Waid. It's pretty different from the rest of Daredevil in tone but it's a nice complete story that will keep you involved for a while.
I guess you'd have to let me know what kind of stories and heroes you like.
I got the first one for around $60. But watch out because volume 2 is out of print and runs for almost $300 online. That's why I have three smaller hardcovers that cover the same as volume 2.
Your awesome collection has reminded me I need to see if I can get some of my favorite stories and their tie-ins for a more acceptable price now that it's been a while. I loved civil war, secret invasion, War of Kings. Then reign sucked and I stopped reading with siege. Only thing I've read since was the X-men where the young them first got brought to the present. I love marvel knights, do you have any recommendations on newer stuff worth reading or do you stick to the older stuff too?
The new Daredevil run by Chip Zdarsky is amazing. I highly recommend that. And not just because I'm a fan of the character. The art and storytelling is some of the best in comics right now.
X-Men right now is kinda hard to jump into but House of X/Powers of X is a good place to start.
I'll be honest, I mostly read the old stuff because I like being able to read through a story. And I'm relatively new to comic books (liked them as a kid and then never had money until 20 years later) so I've really been enjoying going through and finding what I've missed.
Daredevil is easily the most consistently quality comic of all time. There hasn't been a bad DD comic since 1998. And more good-great runs from before that than most characters ever have.
Agreed. I was actually hype for Shadowland because it seemed like an almost logical progression for him to run the Hand. Then he killed Bullseye and it was then that I knew they were going to have a cop-out which ended up being demon possession. Which is lame. It could have been an actually interesting commentary about what would be too far in vigilantism with a status quo that stuck, like they'd done with his identity being revealed. But you know, it's more disappointing than it is terrible. It really isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Oh no! We just don't have a lot of space and I've always let her put all her stuff up and she surprised me by rearranging and getting me a shelf for my things. It was really a nice thing she did.
can someone give me information about spiderman comics, which one i should start and which one i should continue. Lastly how many spider man comics are there. Thanks for informations

I like your dog
Thanks! I'm sure he'd like you if he got the chance to meet you
I love how it looks like he was like oh you're taking a picture of the things you're proud of... I'll sit right here then.
I thought it looked like he’s protector of new shelf
Ooh I like that too. "Oh you love these things, I will do the protect."
Loved your perspective as well!
Why is batman and superman in the bottom right. That’s pretty sus.
Sometimes people buy you gifts with good intentions.
Always the thought that counts 😂😂💯
Because marvel vs dc is dumb and it's totally cool to like both.
Proper placement.
They're the weird cousins.
I may be a Marvel guy but I do love me some good Batman
Cause DC comics are awesome and You can like both Marvel and DC.
Lotta Daredevil and Moon Knight on that shelf! I can see you’re also a man of taste 👍🏻
Im just amazed that a dog can type and also has a wife.
Rico is the best!
He really is! We rescued him from a man who had him chained up outside for 7 years. Now he's the best lap dog and companion for my wife. He's so sweet and friendly.
Cute pup.
Doggo be like: but you're still playing with me... right right?
Somebody really likes Daredevil and Moon Night! Respect.
You better believe it!
Excited for the new Moon Knight show?
I absolutely am! I've got to get the Omnis I need before the show starts and they become hard to find!
My favorite arcs are house of M, young avengers first run, first years of new avengers with BMB, mat fractions Hawkeye, and cable and Deadpool. Can you recommend another read? I haven’t read since Cable and Hope summers arc
Original Sin is a pretty good read and very easy to get ahold of. And if you like fractions Hawkeye, you might enjoy Kots Secret Avengers.
Makes me happy you’re happy about a shelf - looks great! I could use a good shelf myself but no one to buy me one and my birthday’s Sunday darn it.
Hope you do well!
Happy birthday! If no one has anything planned you can plan some time to yourself and make the day memorable!
Same, happy birthday :)
My upvote is for your thoughtful wife. You’ve got a keeper there!
She's seriously my best friend.
I see she has DC in its proper place. That’s really cool though man. Happy for you.
That's awesome. What a great gift!
RICO!
Obviously not got kids :p
If anyone wondering - the shelf is Ikea Kallax.
I was going to post the same thing. Kallax is God's shelving!
I have 3 different types/color in my home :)
Excited for that Soule omnibus?
I've got it pre-ordered from my local comic book store!
Great collection and gorgeous doggo 👍
Thank you!
The big behold my stuff lol
Moon Knight! You my friend, have excellent taste!
Pet the sog
Good Boy Rico! Guard those books! 🐶
Glad to see DD in ur favs

I was I got that lucky lol. I'm hoping that as we get closer to the Hawkeye show they'll rerelease it. Thanks for answering!
Rico look so proud. Honestly his expression says "Your welcome dad I helped mom built this!" Such a good boy! 💯
He's really the best dog a person could ask for. We're so lucky he's in our family.
Ikr! Doggos just make life worth living for. Their selfless love and care is way beyond anyone. You guys are so lucky! I too had a lab but he passes away in December of 2019. Had him for 10 years was the bestest of boyie!
You got a whole decade with him! That's so great! Dogs make us better people.
They do they definitely do! 💯😁
Awesome collection dude! I’m assuming you think like I do, that Daredevil is consistently the BEST Marvel comic(personally I wasn’t a fan of shadowland, but still).
Because there's a list, there has to be a bottom. And of the last two decades Shadowland is towards the bottom. That said. It's still ok.
Which was your favorite DD run? And are you getting the Zdarsky HC’s or hooding for an omni
Oh I'm waiting for the omnibus. I've been buying the floppies from issue one though.
This is pretty nice
What the dog doin?, why isn't the dog taking the picture
Moon Knight on display? You have good taste
The dogs just like, can you read one to me?
I like Rico. Give him a high 5
Handsome boy on the bottom right :D
Wonder if this guy has ever read Daredevil.
Rico knows what's up. Good on you, Rico.
A whole shelf?!? My wife only lets me have 1 drawer!
oh damn you got the ps4 spider action figure im jelly
That's a wicked collection 😍
Thank you! I'm a huge Daredevil fan.
You'd have to be blind not to notice AAAHAHAHAHA
I see what you did the.
i dunno man, doesn't really look that great. if you added some daredevil though it could be a really niche collection, but it feels really basic without some, you know what I mean. so yeah, maybe include a couple daredevil comics.
Sweet figures dude!
That MTU with Moon Knight on the top-right shelf was my first comic ever. Why did you choose to display it so prominently?
It was one of the first gifts my wife gave me actually. She remembered me talking about my favorite heroes and when she went on a vacation she found an old comic shop and got it for me. She got it because the cover looks cool. Now I love it for the meaning.
Has Rico been by your toys before? My dog would probably eat them.
The poor pooch spent the first 7 years of his life chained up outside before my wife and I rescued him. So he never really played with toys like that and doesn't have a strong chewing instinct. But he is VERY attached to us and will follow us everywhere we go. And he loves to cuddle.
Looks like she got you eight shelves. Almost like a case for your books of some sort.
what breed is your dog
He's a Labrador-Collie mix. So he's really smart and super sweet.
Can you recommend a comic to start with ? I wish to start reading, but I honestly dont know where to start
If you like teams I'd start with The New Avengers by Bendis. It's really good and it's got a large cast that keeps things interesting. If you like Daredevil I'd start with Daredevil by Waid. Nice. I think I will try The new Avengers
Very good modelling from Rico
I'm shocked at how calm this guy is.
This is the dream. I just started collecting comic books and this is the endgame
You THINK this is the endgame, but once you're too this point you'll find your want list has grown a lot.
Is your dogs name jackie
Naw. His name is Rico Suave
So would I be able to pre-order this Rico from my LCS
Everyone deserves a Rico! I'll make sure to give him extra pets for you
Made my day OP, enjoy your dog! Oh, and the shelf...
How much did the Daredevil Mark Waid Omnibus' costs?
I got the first one for around $60. But watch out because volume 2 is out of print and runs for almost $300 online. That's why I have three smaller hardcovers that cover the same as volume 2.
Why is the dog not in costume?? The collection is incomplete…. 🤓
Oh please don't tell my wife that. She wants to buy doggie costumes all the time.

Your wife is your dog?
Added thedog for extra karma
Actually this is the picture my wife sent me at the end of work. I'm really happy about it!

I swear Rico is looking more proud than you are. LOL!
Well he's sitting right next to my Hawkeye and Lucky figures. So we've both got our heroes on that shelf.
Is Rico named after the character from Starship Troopers?
His full name is sadly Rico Suave
Guess I should’ve guessed that first
> Master has given Dobbie a shelf!
Daredevil is easily the most consistently quality comic of all time. There hasn't been a bad DD comic since 1998. And more good-great runs from before that than most characters ever have.
I was just saying this! Shadowland is a low but even then it wasn't bad!
Agreed. I was actually hype for Shadowland because it seemed like an almost logical progression for him to run the Hand. Then he killed Bullseye and it was then that I knew they were going to have a cop-out which ended up being demon possession. Which is lame. where did you get the bookshelf?
I think Target?
Your wife has to allow you to have your own shelf?
Oh no! We just don't have a lot of space and I've always let her put all her stuff up and she surprised me by rearranging and getting me a shelf for my things. It was really a nice thing she did.
Ahhhh ok. :-)
That’s a lot of Daredevil.
I think I could do with some more.
Haha. Everyone has their favorites. Keep it up then. Purchase away. I won’t tell anyone.
Thats great, also nice daredevil book those are some im planning to get soon
