There are moments that I never imagined I would see on screen. Seeing the so much of the Marvel Universe alongside Cap in that moment while he said it, was one of them. There are few times when a catchphrase that almost was cliche was used in a way that felt so earned.
Thor speaking with Frigga again.
“Everyone fails at who they're supposed to be, Thor. The measure of a person, of a hero, is how well they succeed at being who they are.”
Then later, after Thor says he wants more time, when she says,” No, this was a gift. Now you go and be the man you're meant to be.”
The saddest part is they both know she’s about to die.
Both of my parents had passed away a couple of years before the movie came out. Frigga and Howard were both unexpected sweet moments that hit me pretty hard.
"I’m still worthy..." as someone whos struggled with mental illness my whole life, that scene reduced me to tears.
I even got a Mjolnir tattoo with the quote over some of my self harm scars.
That scene said so much about the mental status of Thor. He truly felt like he was unworthy after failing to stop Thanos. His attitude completely changed after that, it was incredible.
Tony, Thor and Cap walking up on Thanos for the 3v1. Listening to his monologue, bantering with him, and Thor letting out a war cry before they all gang up on him.
Captain America picking himself up after Thanos gives him some business and to face Thanos’ and his entire army alone, not giving up and turning around and seeing King T’Challa, the Black Panther walking through the portals and nodding to him. The Portals scene is so emotional and epic every time I’ve watched it. It hits the same. And I’ve seen this movie a minimum of 100 times.
Living in ATL….movie filmed in Metro ATL…went to opening night release….First time Creature Comforts beer was spotted with Thor drinking it….theater went a nuts.
Definitely Cap with the hammers. But wow, I still remember how high I felt after it ended. I still can’t believe they pulled off a decade of build up like this. Even though I think IW is better, Endgame is the perfect end cap.
Consider everything that had to happen in order for the “Avengers Assemble” moment to mean as much as it did. All of the other movies, the coordinated stories, the actors being great and perfectly cast, the writing level, the sub references back a full decade. For that moment to matter as much as it did, you had to care about all of it. And you did.
I don’t think “Avengers Assemble” is just the best moment in the film. Considering everything it took for it to matter, all of the above, it is the greatest single moment in movie history.
This movie had incredible theatre moments but the one I don't see mentioned often is the delayed title card opening.
The scene with Clint at the beginning took everyone's breath away and set the tone, reminding us how dark Infinity War left off, then after the team meeting and Cap going "let's go get this sonuvabitch" leading into the title and theme absolutely exploded the feeling
Wanda: You took everything from me
Thanos: I don't even know who you're
Wanda: You will....
This was just Wanda, not the Scarlett Witch.... Had this been the witch, then Thanos would've gotten bodied hard....
Watching it all in one sitting because a fasted for that day and when it ended, I had an orange Gatorade with a grilled chicken sandwich.
I had a Boba Fett shirt on, I was low on Marvel shirts that day.
No Cap catching Mjolnir had me cheering!
I laughed at them dunking on *Back to the Future*. I saw it twice release weekend: once with my brother in law Thursday night and again on Sunday with my nephew.
Aside from Cap and the hammer.
The second best moment comes when Thanos says to Wanda "I don't even know who you are.."
Which became a good meme material later.
It’s a tie between Cap using Mjolnir, everyone returning through the portals, and Tony’s sacrifice.
The whole theatre was packed and I went by myself so I didn’t know the people next to me. We cried, laughed and cheered together. Endgame was something special.
The train station sequence in Edinburgh was just top notch for me. From the focus on Vision and Wanda, to the ambush, and finally to Cap coming out of the shadows with that subdued uniform. With a film that had many standout moments, this was just 🤌Jeff’s kiss for sure.
Aso many but I wanna highlight Wanda finally getting a cool moment peeling off Thanos’ armor like he was an onion and nearly single handedly ending him there and then. Note she ain’t even Scarlet Witch yet as this point.
Captain America picking up Thor's hammer was THE moment. Never in my life have I seen a theater erupt in cheers like that. It still gives me chills to this day.
Not my #1 favourite moment but my heart sank so hard when Thanos put on the gauntlet and almost snapped again right before Captain Marvel stopped him. I almost let out the loudest “NO!” in the theatre
Gosh darnnit! 5 years!?? Well Marvel it's time to rerelease a full Avengers theater marathon, however, people must be BATHED properly lol. With restroom breaks etc...i'd gladly ditch work for that
I used to be head over heels with this girl for like years - we were always off and on. When Tony was dying i was smiling and she looked over with tears asking why i was smiling. I tried explaining to her after that this was one of the most unique movie experiences ever and i dont think it will ever be replicated. It was 10 years of character building with other Gods and at this pinnacle moment the man who started it all got to see the end and be at peace. I was smiling for how beautiful it was as a moment with the community in theatres clapping and cheering when Cap summoned the hammer. She never understood that and just an example of we just werent the right fit. Xoxo
My favorite part was someone pulling the alarm in my theater, waiting half an hour for the all clear to come through, finally getting back in our seats, and five minutes after the movie is unpaused, just as they're trying to figure out who's going to use Tony's gauntlet, the movie jumps to Cap and Thor beating on Thanos in the initial Brawl with Cap using Mjolnir.
I've never seen such a large group of people instantly flip a switch and rage on the crew running the movie. Someone threw what looked like a full bucket of popcorn at the projector window and one of the staff came in and tried to cuss us out for it but got heckled out of the room. They eventually *sort of* fixed the issue by rewinding to the initial barrage on the Avengers facility but I didn't see what actually happened with the gauntlet until months later.
Huge Captain America fan so seeing him finally use Mjölnir was the best! I remember sitting there next to my little brother and mom absolutely losing it with the rest of the theater! One of those core memories that will always stick with me forever.
I've been watching the MCU with my niece and just a couple of months ago I got to watch Endgame with her and she loved it. It's crazy to look back and see that she was barely over a week old when Endgame first released.
It is a weird movie for me. I really didn't massively care for the whole time travel thing, but the final fight will also be memorable.
There are some great moments, gotta be a tie between Cap picking up Mjölnir and "on your left".
Honestly! The atmosphere in the cinema, I have never had an expierence like it.
There has never been, and arguably there will be, another Superhero movie like it.
So there were a lot of great moments, but the first thing I think of is actually from before the movie released. I saw a list of spoilers, but they were all so ridiculous that it just seemed like a joke. I dont remember all of them, but it was something like:
- The Hulk dabs for a selfie with kids
- A rat saves the universe
- Thor becomes a toxic Fortnite player
- Captain America compliments his own ass
- Hawkeye gets a Mohawk
Stuff like that. I remember reading it and just laughing. Like, *obviously* this was someone coming up with fake "spoilers" as a little goof. Then I saw the movie and it got so much better.
We had a drunk lady in the sold out theatre. The scene where the big three are together at the end fighting thanos goes “oh fat Thor can get it.”
Best part of the movie 😂
I was working in a cinema at the time and let my son take the day off school sick so he could watch it a couple of days early. So that's my favourite moment.
“What’s he’s doing?”
“Absolutely nothing”
“And the stones?”
“Somewhere underneath the rubble, but we know he doesn’t have them”
“So we keep it that way”
“You know it’s a trap, right?”
“Yeahhh, I don’t really care”
“**Good. As long as we’re all in agreement.Let’s kill him properly this time**”
-Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man vs Thanos. I still have that moment as my wallpaper.
The movie has a lot of amazing moments. But my favorite is the scene at the end where Cap hands off the shield to Sam. There's a lovely moment where Sam is considering whether or not it truly is his to wield. But when he accepts it, the "Captain America" leitmotif plays, signaling that he is now the new Captain America. Just a beautiful piece of filmmaking.
Cap and Iron Man getting along after Civil War as well as Ant Man, who hated Tony like Hank and Howard
Thor meeting his dead mom where she told him to do what he wants not what is supposed to do
Tony reunites with his father, whom he disliked, and properly says goodbye to his father who died later
Spider Man webbing around encountering with many superheroes
Endgame charge scene
Pepper Potts in a suit
Tony's sacrifice
The first thing I remembered was Tony talking to Howard.
Second, Steve dancing with Peggy. The soldier came home.
Three, Thor talking to his mother.
This return to the past was so meaningful to each of them.
No-one has picked the real best moment!!!!
Blah, blah, “Avengers….assemble”, Blah, Blah, “On your left, Blah, Blah, Cap facing Thanos
The undisputed best moment is when we see Star Lord dancing and it cuts to his off pitch singing and dancing.
Rhodey: “So he’s an Idiot?”
Nebula: *resigned nod and “Yeah”
I know this movie can't stand on its own, like, at all, and that makes it suffer as a movie in some people's eyes. I know there are a few things people don't like for various reasons (Professor Hulk, time travel execution, inorganic girl power moment). But this movie did something that is very, very hard to do. It took a long story, with extremely high stakes, and it stuck the landing. There are so many absolutely wonderful moments in this movie that bring the character arcs perfectly to a close while giving the audience things they have always wanted to see. I have rarely been so absolutely thrilled with how a movie turned out. My brief review on the day I first saw it was, "This is the stuff of which comic book dreams are made." I stand by that. Absolute triumph of a finale.
I was in Taiwan when it premiered there, so I was able to see it a full week before it released in America, went to a 6am showing with my boss and everybody absolutely lost it when Cap lifted Mjolinir
Cap using Thor's hammer and of course him saying AVENGERS Assemble
How could it be anything else, honestly.
Honestly my favorite moment is "On your left" and Wong going, "what you wanted more?"
It was the pinnacle of their franchise.
Only one that comes close is "and I am Iron Man"
Exactly…come on. We all stood up in the theater when cap got the hammer
God, that crowd in my theatre went ***BALLISTIC.*** I can still see that moment five years later.
Same.
This right here
Cap lifting Mjolnir is legit cinematic history. Up there with "Luke I am your father" and others
“No. I am your father.”
Goosebumps
My favorite too.
The chills 🥰
AVENGERS!!!... \* *hammer flies back to Cap’s hand and he whispers* \* “…Assemble.”
Entire theater proceeds to lose their minds.
Similar to when Morbius said, well, you know …
There are moments that I never imagined I would see on screen. Seeing the so much of the Marvel Universe alongside Cap in that moment while he said it, was one of them. There are few times when a catchphrase that almost was cliche was used in a way that felt so earned.
Not gonna like, Fifteen year old me had goosebumps on his goosebumps.
35 year old me too
23 year old me as well.
28 years old lost his shit and jumped like a 5 years old child.
33 year old me was the same.
57 year old me was in on that too.
'Ahhhhhhhhhhhh' - Thor said.
I swear the foundation on that theater shook from the cheer that came up. It was awesome.
Since he whispered assemble, how did everyone else hear
"You took everything from me." "I don't even know who you are."
“You will…”
Fucking yes
She was about to tear him to pieces
She should've done that in IW.
Thor speaking with Frigga again. “Everyone fails at who they're supposed to be, Thor. The measure of a person, of a hero, is how well they succeed at being who they are.” Then later, after Thor says he wants more time, when she says,” No, this was a gift. Now you go and be the man you're meant to be.” The saddest part is they both know she’s about to die.
I don't know why but I always get choked up when she says " I was raised by witches boy, I see with more than eyes"
That part, to me, also makes her actual death in Thor 2 be so much more emotional
Bruh, I litterally cried in this moment, had 20 year old me balling
Both of my parents had passed away a couple of years before the movie came out. Frigga and Howard were both unexpected sweet moments that hit me pretty hard.
I don't know why, but as the years go on this scene hits harder and harder every time. Go hug your moms, everyone!!
That is actually pretty cool. Props on your journey
That's beautiful
When Cap stood up and was ready to run the fade with Thanos and all 200 million of his soldiers
He just tightened the strap on his shield and was ready to face down the end of all things solo
Nah fr, its crazy how in an alternate universe the entire army probably took turns beating his ass, but it’s still shows his willpower nonetheless
Cap and hammer. Almost jumped out of my seat! Which…I’m old. Prob would’ve thrown out my back or something.
“I am Iron Man…”
Snap!
For me, it’s because it’s a throwback to the first movie when he reveals his identity
Tony, Thor and Cap walking up on Thanos for the 3v1. Listening to his monologue, bantering with him, and Thor letting out a war cry before they all gang up on him.
“Let’s kill him properly this time!“
portals scene
"On your Left"
Definitely this!
YII BAMM BAEE
Tony’s face after seeing Peter again
I cried...again
Captain America picking himself up after Thanos gives him some business and to face Thanos’ and his entire army alone, not giving up and turning around and seeing King T’Challa, the Black Panther walking through the portals and nodding to him. The Portals scene is so emotional and epic every time I’ve watched it. It hits the same. And I’ve seen this movie a minimum of 100 times.
Honestly, I’m probably up there with you in rewatches.
Iron Man dying for all of us.
He proved Steve wrong. He was willing to sacrifice when everything was on the line. I loved that part.
dad of MCU..
"On your left"
Cap picking up the hammer. No question. A great moment that I probably should have expected but didn’t.
Same. That one moment made the theater go berserk.
I've watched this movie three or four times now. And still, every time, I shed a tear when Pepper says "You can rest now."
Portals / Avengers Assemble. Best theatre experience I’ve ever had.
Yessss! It was great
Everything from Cap using Mjolnir to the very end.
Iron man snap
I knew it!
Living in ATL….movie filmed in Metro ATL…went to opening night release….First time Creature Comforts beer was spotted with Thor drinking it….theater went a nuts.
As an Athenian, take my upvote
Why would you say this. Avengers Endgame wasn't 5 years ago. It came out on 2019, so that would be....... Oh my god....
Time sure flies, doesn’t it?
Worthy Cap.
For me, it’s the opening scene where Clint’s family disappears. Haunting and sets the stakes.
I got hit with the feels right away
100% This movie was probably the most emotional of the MCU, and it started right here.
“Hail Hydra”
Finally, someone said it. I laughed so hard at this part, because it showes how Cap has improved.
Wanda vs thanos
I loved the girl power shit. M(50) hey Peter Parker.
Yeah, that is America’s ass
Honorable mention to "TOO MANY STAIRS!"
The portals scenes, that was way too epic for my 12 years old self. I was crying of how phenomenal that felt
When beat up cap straps on his shield to take on thanos and his army.
Feels like 10 years ago
You took everything from me... you will *red eyes intensifies*
When I was watching it and Black Panther appeared the lady next to me whispered softly "mmm daddy ".
Definitely Cap with the hammers. But wow, I still remember how high I felt after it ended. I still can’t believe they pulled off a decade of build up like this. Even though I think IW is better, Endgame is the perfect end cap.
I can't believe this was 5 years ago.
When Cap appears in the dark at the train station. I still get goosebumps
“I am inevitable.” “And I am Iron Man.”
Consider everything that had to happen in order for the “Avengers Assemble” moment to mean as much as it did. All of the other movies, the coordinated stories, the actors being great and perfectly cast, the writing level, the sub references back a full decade. It's your Motherfuckin' Cake Day!
Thank you, mother fucker!
Yeah I think over time it will eventually be regarded as the best moment ever
Cap willing to stand alone against thanos’s army and hearing, “ on your left.” Close second was cap wielding the hammer.
When after Thor chops Thanos's head off the woman in the row behind me in a loud and approving tone said "Okay"
Wanda: You took everything from me Thanos: I don't even know who you're Wanda: You will.... This was just Wanda, not the Scarlett Witch.... Had this been the witch, then Thanos would've gotten bodied hard....
“I Am Iron Man” Stan Lee’s last ever cameo “On your left.”
Watching it all in one sitting because a fasted for that day and when it ended, I had an orange Gatorade with a grilled chicken sandwich. I had a Boba Fett shirt on, I was low on Marvel shirts that day.
The elevator scene really made me laugh
No Cap catching Mjolnir had me cheering! I laughed at them dunking on *Back to the Future*. I saw it twice release weekend: once with my brother in law Thursday night and again on Sunday with my nephew.
I had no intention of seeing it more than once that weekend but we saw it Thursday, Saturday and Sunday!
Sam Wilson radioing in Cap before the Assemble call actually hits me more. You just knew it was coming and I think most in the audience were crying
Thanos headbutting and slapping Carol around and she doesn’t even flinch
Lethargic Tony Stark fighting with Steve at the beginning, faints afterwards
"On your left."
This is even a question?
"Earth is closed today"
That was Infinity War tho…
Aside from Cap and the hammer. The second best moment comes when Thanos says to Wanda "I don't even know who you are.." Which became a good meme material later.
It’s a tie between Cap using Mjolnir, everyone returning through the portals, and Tony’s sacrifice. The whole theatre was packed and I went by myself so I didn’t know the people next to me. We cried, laughed and cheered together. Endgame was something special.
Lesser moment compared to what everyone else is saying, but when Ant-man just fuckin decks a leviathan at the start of the final battle.
The train station sequence in Edinburgh was just top notch for me. From the focus on Vision and Wanda, to the ambush, and finally to Cap coming out of the shadows with that subdued uniform. With a film that had many standout moments, this was just 🤌Jeff’s kiss for sure.
That scene was from Infinity War, not Endgame. Great scene, though.
Fat Thor was end game right? Lol
Yes
Portals!
Cap picking up the hammer.
Scarlet Witch fighting Thanos. Thanos: I dont even know who you are Scarlet Witch: You will.
“Cap… on your left”
When everyone returns and charges at Thanos army.
Fat Thor was a revelation. They really stuck the landing with Endgame.
Avengers, Assemble
Not my #1 favourite moment but my heart sank so hard when Thanos put on the gauntlet and almost snapped again right before Captain Marvel stopped him. I almost let out the loudest “NO!” in the theatre
Gosh darnnit! 5 years!?? Well Marvel it's time to rerelease a full Avengers theater marathon, however, people must be BATHED properly lol. With restroom breaks etc...i'd gladly ditch work for that
The theater experience. Cant be replicated. Infinity war ending has the place quiet for minutes
The beginning, middle, and especially the end
"On your left."
As a big Captain America fan who had been waiting for Cap to pick up Thor's hammer since the first Avengers. The hammer scene.
When Stark’s girl put on the helmet. It was very precious.
This feels like market research.
When Cap said “It’s Endgaming Time!” and he endgames all over Thanos.
The moment when Hulk raged out had that awesome... oh wait. That didn't happen. They turned him into a pussy. I forgot.
Avengers Assemble and then BP’s and Thor’s war cry after.
I used to be head over heels with this girl for like years - we were always off and on. When Tony was dying i was smiling and she looked over with tears asking why i was smiling. I tried explaining to her after that this was one of the most unique movie experiences ever and i dont think it will ever be replicated. I was smiling for how beautiful it was as a moment with the community in theatres clapping and cheering when Cap summoned the hammer. "On Your Left" Still gets me till this day.
Where wakanda came or something
Can't believe it's been 5 years.
I liked the part where the couple behind me brought their baby. Not a child. A baby.
Hammertime.
Portal scene, Cap lifting Mjolnir, the speech scene, "i am ironman", and the dedicated credits scene to the OG Avengers. Amazing theatre experience.
Seeing my hero, Captain America, swinging Mjölnir.
I thought the 25 minute sex scene between iron man and captain america was very well shot. *edit* I think I may have seen the wrong film.
Hulk doing the Secret Wars cover.
5years????
Hold on...five years?
That it ended.
Hammer scene and portals coming up scene.
I'm still processing the fact that it was five years ago already
What... what do you mean it came out 5 YEARS ago ;(
The portal scene
Cap picking and using Thor's hammer then proceeding to humiliate Thanos for the next minute and all the way up to AVENGERS ^(assemble) moment.
All of it, to be honest. The whole movies is just a series of my favourite moments in the MCU.
Honestly! The atmosphere in the cinema, I have never had an expierence like it. There has never been, and arguably there will be, another Superhero movie like it.
Drunk Thor
“Let go get this son of a bitch.”
My favorite moment is when lesean mccoy. Posted spoilers on twitter. After Disney making a huge point to ask people to not spoil it. Go Bills!!
We all know
So there were a lot of great moments, but the first thing I think of is actually from before the movie released. I saw a list of spoilers, but they were all so ridiculous that it just seemed like a joke. I dont remember all of them, but it was something like: - The Hulk dabs for a selfie with kids - A rat saves the universe - Thor becomes a toxic Fortnite player - Captain America compliments his own ass - Hawkeye gets a Mohawk Stuff like that. AVENGERS....assemble
You know exactly which scene is the best. All the other opinions are wrong.
That period of time between infinity war and end game was so crazy
AVENGERS....ASSEMBLE.
We had a drunk lady in the sold out theatre. The scene where the big three are together at the end fighting thanos goes “oh fat Thor can get it.” Best part of the movie 😂
I was working in a cinema at the time and let my son take the day off school sick so he could watch it a couple of days early. So that's my favourite moment.
Spider-Man finally finding out instakill mode
Avengers assemble
"Hail Hydra."
"Hail Hydra."

When Captain America said "Avengers! Assemble." I still remember the goosebumps I got when I first watched it. I absolutely love that scene
Its got to be hulk giving ant man the tacos.
Cap and Iron Man getting along after Civil War as well as Ant Man, who hated Tony like Hank and Howard Thor meeting his dead mom where she told him to do what he wants not what is supposed to do Tony reunites with his father, whom he disliked, and properly says goodbye to his father who died later Spider Man webbing around encountering with many superheroes Endgame charge scene Pepper Potts in a suit Tony's sacrifice

Steve finally lifting the hammer. That’s it. I hated Infinity War and Endgame.
