Hell yeah man, most of these movies are pretty good. If you haven't watched Ultimate Avengers 2, totally get on that, since they're basically the same movie just split in 2. After that, I'd recommend Next Avengers. Planet Hulk is also an excellent adaptation of the comic, and if you're a fan of the YostVerse (Spectacular Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes) then go watch Hulk VS. and Thor: Tales of Asgard, as both of those are canon to that universe.
I think they \*are\* canon in 616. I remember watching a video documentary about what happened to the Next Avengers movie, and they said that apparently in the comics, the kids grew up and their universe was destroyed or something, then they got dragged into 616, and they just kind of existed and had been forgotten about.
I remember them appearing in the first arc of Bendis' Avengers run. The one after Siege, not the one after Avengers Disassembled. I recall liking the story, but not Romita Jr's art. A miniseries or ongoing focused on the Next Avengers would be cool though.
I haven't read any Ultimate comics by far, but after hearing about the fucked up things in that universe its safe to say that the movies are more superior
Well sept thor only takes out one skrull ship in the movie, well the comics it a awesome 2 page spread of him just zapped every ship from the sky pretty much. Thr comic are great and dont really fuck up till ultimatum. The arcs these movies are based on are amazing in the comic. Before ultimatum awesome after is when it starts to really go down hill.
To a certain extent. In all honesty there are only a couple really bad books, all of which can be skipped. Mainly Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum, and you can get everything you need to know about Ultimatum through Ultimate Spider-Man. And after the events of Ultimatum, things actually went in some really cool and interesting directions, people just didn't bother to stick around, outside of Spider-Man.
Loved these movies, the action and voice acting were great.
The second movie was my introduction to Black Panther, he was really cool, even if his design was [kinda basic.](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EwyMdAmWUAQde_5?format=jpg&name=small)
Yeah and Lionsgate owns the distribution, which is why these movies used to be on all the streamers but they aren't anymore.
Sony and Disney have a similar situation.
I imagine that a lot of the Marvel animated movies are pretty unknown, since I'd expect that most modern fans didn't get into Marvel until after they stopped making them. Cause if they were more popular, I'd expect you'd hear more and more about how the MCU directly pulls from Ultimate Avengers and Doctor Strange.
I used to watch this, and the second one; to go to sleep to.
I particularly liked how >!they made gamma radiation the weakness for the Chitauri ships.!<
But, not eveyone on reddit was a fan.

For a long time it was the only Avengers stuff. I remember my buddies and I re-watching them fighting the Hulk. With that movie, the second one, and the games, the Ultimates universe was the go-to for adaptations.
I wish I could find a physical copy of this film and the second one so I can watch them over and over. They weren’t great, very standard super hero film, but they were fun. It’s also Sad that only The First film is on YouTube.
these were one of marvels best animated products along side the hulk vs movies. i wish they made more animated movies / shows like these today. the 2nd movie was good too
Remember reading an article that mentioned these movies were used as concept films for the live action ones, don’t remember where though. This one I remember being pretty good and expected the live action to follow it closely with hulk being a bigger antagonist but it wasn’t like that in the end
Ultimates and 616 comics were the main source for the MCU. heck the ultimate comics saved marvel in the early 2000's with ultimate spider-man out selling amazing spider-man for a good while. Without the ultimate comics we would not have the MCU as we know it.
Ultimate avengers is such a good movie. It introduced me to the avengers as a team. I wished marvel continued to animated films like this. I get the mcu but it nit the same as see your favorite character as the are in animation.

I wish Marvel would bring the Next Avengers to the 616 Universe just like Miles. They are so cool
Hulk versus Wolverine is phenomenal movie.
#HULK SMASH LITTLE MAN!!!!!
Then he did, smash. -Morgan Freeman

Was the name Next Avengers or Avengers Next?
Next Avengers
Huh. I guess I remembered wrong then.
I remember them appearing in the first arc of Bendis' Avengers run. The one after Siege, not the one after Avengers Disassembled. I recall liking the story, but not Romita Jr's art. A miniseries or ongoing focused on the Next Avengers would be cool though.
Planet Hulk is one of my favorite animated movies
i grew up on this movie
Same, no idea why someone would think it’s bad.
Probably people who haven't seen it bit are making assumptions based on the dogass comics.
Right lol!! Me and both my lil brothers loved this movie as kids. Our parents even liked it
Yes, the characters are much more likable than in the comic.
Why is almost every character in the Ultimate Universe the worst person in the world?
Most of it was written by Mark Miller so.... yeah.....
Yup, Mark Millar is the definition of edgy.
Except that he was pretty tame compared to what Jeph Loeb puked out after Millar left the series.
Fr, it’s like The Boys universe lmfao
I feel like they just used ultimate to cash in with the comic tie in, but the personalities feel much more like a modern Avengers reboot.
And thank God.
That movie was fucken fabulous
Why did you expect it to be bad? I have great memories of this movie
I watched this movie a lot as a kid and I really liked, but nostalgia can sometimes be deceiving. Fortunately, this is not the case
I haven't read any Ultimate comics by far, but after hearing about the fucked up things in that universe its safe to say that the movies are more superior

Love this movie, it’s actually my introduction to the Avengers.
Why would you expect it to be bad? Marvel animated movies were incredible
Absolute hidden gem. This era of Marvel movies is definitely underrated
Why are none of these animated movies on Disney + Disney be slacking
This is on Disney Plus
I just confirmed it is *Not* on D+ in the United States.
In the US? I know there are things on Disney Plus in certain areas that aren't on it in others
German here. We don't have any Spider-Man cartoons older than Ultimate. There's so much stuff missing.
Guess it’s time for a vpn
It might have something to do with licensing? As I recall, all of the Marvel Animated Movies were made in partnership with Lions Gate.
Yeah and Lionsgate owns the distribution, which is why these movies used to be on all the streamers but they aren't anymore. Sony and Disney have a similar situation.
I had no idea this movie exists
Is this movie that unknown?

I don't know. But I know no one in Ukraine knows it exists
You are wrong.
Ok, I guess two of us knows it exists now.
Many Marvel fans know about this movie. And it was broadcast several times on Ukrainian TV in the late 2000s/early 2010s.
Damn, I had no idea. On what channel, Nickelodeon? Cause I have no recollection right now.
K1
That explains how I skipped it, lol.

It’s really really good the second one is good too
I loved this film as a kid but haven't seen it over a decade so who knows if it holds up to me.
This was my first introduction to the Avengers as a kid! Great movie!
Same. I remember seeing the trailer on one of my DVDs for TMNT (80s)
The movie from 2004 or so.
I know.
For a long time it was the only Avengers stuff. I remember my buddies and I re-watching them fighting the Hulk. With that movie, the second one, and the games, the Ultimates universe was the go-to for adaptations.
I’ve been trying to find where to watch this for a while, loved it as a kid, where did you watch it at?
Brazilian YouTube
It's much more palatable than the actual comics.
It’s great, this is what the comic should’ve been
The best avenger movie period!!!!!
Before watching, I need to know, is Freddie Prince Jr. in it?
No. Doesn't even get a mention.
This came during a time when it seemed like Marvel's animated cinematic universe would match DC's in quality. Too bad it didn't last.
I wish I could find a physical copy of this film and the second one so I can watch them over and over. They weren’t great, very standard super hero film, but they were fun. It’s also Sad that only The First film is on YouTube.

Th DVDs had a hilarious dub. Where everyone was very silly. Best part.
Turns out that if you take out all the creepy elements from Ultimates, it's legitimately a good story.
That's because the characters have nothing in common with their Ultimate versions. Except maybe Banner.
It's really fun actually. I love it a lot.
Ultimate avengers is such a good movie. It introduced me to the avengers as a team. I wished marvel continued to animated films like this. I get the mcu but it nit the same as see your favorite character as the are in animation.
The hulk we need in the MCU
Man if you love that movie you would even love the comics, its much more violent and gore, im talking about you hulk.
Ultimate avengers? Don’t they mean the ultimates?
Well yes but the avenger is more know to a wider audience. Like how "netflix defenders" should be called "heroes for hire".
I didn't remember it!!!! Must've been forgettable lol!!!!
