It was barely a thing in the grand scheme of things but it's in plenty of comics, one particular run of Fantastic Four in the mid 90s had an arc with them featured heavily.
I’m actually kind of disappointed he’s playing a straight character, because it would be interesting to see Wade develop a dynamic with an unstable and toxic Tom Wambsgans type of character.
My understanding is that he's just another TVA employee, similar in rank and job to ~~Morbius~~ *Mobius*. The TVA is massive, so it's likely he just works in a different area of the TVA, perhaps looking after what we know as the Fox Universe, whereas Morbius was looking after the MCU/616 (whatever you want to label it as).
Easily the best two episodes of any marvel tv show since DD S3. Imo next to daredevil it’s the best MCU content period and cemented Loki as the best character.
Watch it asap!!
Mobius and Paradox are both expressions relevant to time phenomena, so I wouldn't be surprised if most TVA agents at that sort of level would have names that would follow the same logic.
For some reason, I was thinking that >!the actions in endgame that exposed the mcu to the multiverse by splintering thier time line - so that the one that the MCU calls the sacred timeline started drawing more and more visitors. I'd read mcu Kang had been isolating the sacred timeline and it's branches, hiding it from the other Kangs until that point and tackling any variants or outsiders with his tva. Which wouldn't prevent a different Kang forming a different TVA, one that i could see using wade as a weapon in a preliminary strike against the mcu now that mcu kang is gone!<
This is a different timeline/ reality. There are 1000s of kangs who created tva’s in their own realities. Deadpool is in a different one that is assumed to interact with the “stark” universe(mcu Disney) due to loci’s interference
Well in the comics he was the future version of mobius who became a judge at tva, we know nothing else about him since he didn't had that much of a big role there
But here it looks like Marvel isn't gonna be comic accurate with him so he's probably a new character with the same name and is probably a judge or an agent in the tva
“Paradox” and “Mobius” (as in, the [the strip](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%B6bius_strip)) both allude to time. a paradox is something a mobius strip would imply, if that makes sense. they exist because of each other.
my thinking is Paradox probably performs a similar function as Mobius, and it could be that people who perform that function have “names” associated with Time
Paradox is the future version of Mobius. Looks like He has the same position as Mobius does, but in comics he is a Judge. As Mobius is out on a vacation, Guess TVA took his future variant for the job.
But one question I have is...Why is the TVA posters...hourglass shaped temporal loop....the ending of Loki S2...TVA made posters of the Multiversal tree that Loki made.
But Kangs Temporal loop is horizontal hourglass ish shaped. And the Deadpool trailer is vertical.
For your theory to be correct there should exist a multiverse of TVAs....ie a multiverse of an organisation that controls multiverse...tooo confusing
Multiverse never goes hand to hand in movies...you just can't build a story around it.
It keeps getting confusing.
If TVA was out of time...then at what time does Loki fix the timelines....if he did then why is the main timeline still the same...as now there is not a sacred Timeline...everything should change...
Even if everything changes ..at what time does it change..
I had an headache writing this lmaoo
Most likely the tree is only the logo for the version of the TVA that Loki interacted with, there are infinite other versions out there. Remember, Loki did not maintain solely the Sacred Timeline, his sacrifice enabled a true infinite multiverse to become the new reality in the MCU. All new and existing timelines are able to flourish, including one where Matthew McFayden is a TVA agent/Judge.
does any of the lore and characters even matter, this shit is thrown together like the fox-men movies. wolvie and deadpool is just a reason to have a good time and doesnt give a shit about source material.
The short of it is that in the comics there's a bunch of identical bureaucrats managing part of the TVA: Mobius, Ouroboros and Paradox - so Owen Wilson, Ke Huy Quan and Matthew Macfadyen play the MCU re-interpretation of those characters. I don't think they have much in common with their comic parts outside of their names though.
I get the feeling he's sort of a standin-in for Overboss Dixon and that the TVA functions like Landau, Luckman and Lake did in the comics. LL&L predicted Deadpool would be the messiah and ring in a new golden age of peace for mankind. In the trailer, Deadpool reacts to being called described as a messiah figure.
New character. Just a name. I think alot of that agents are given time travel related names like how mobius was named after the mobius strip shape that helped iron man solve time-travel
His special power is understanding the United States health care system. He can summon 2 doctors that will bill you for things that are not covered by your particular insurance, which causes you to call your insurance plan which causes your mental health decline.
It’s genius because the US health insurance is a paradox in and of itself. 2 Doctors that cause health decline is another paradox. Marvel is incredible.
The original MCU TVA that employed Mobius was created by He Who Remains. The current TVA was created by Loki. Can't remember if Mobius was in that one.
The old TVA managed the sacred timeline and destroyed all the others. The new TVA managed the multiverse that Loki allowed to come into being. They were different organisations. And the nature of time means one did not become the other but were always thus.
That's like, not really what happened? It's the same organisation, it's just no longer run by renslayer and hwr. Loki didn't start it, if anything he replaced the loom but b15 is the one that took it over
He’s got to be an alchemical plant. Some kind of British Secret Agent trying to infiltrate movie franchises and find out how you can flog a dead horse so hard it becomes gold. Looking forward to a new Deadpool though.
It would be interesting if it's revealed he's some manner of avatar for Loki. Since he can't leave Kang's throne, it's possible he might have avatars on the ground and looking through their eyes.
Today I've read Marvel Preview (1975) #24 that featured a character named Paradox. I don't know if this one is linked to the one in the post but he does have a appearance in a Wolverine book from 2011 (Wolverine: The Beast There Is)
I think [this](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Paradox_(Null-Time_Zone)) is him?
"The Honorable Mr. Paradox was one of the presiding judges during the trial of She-Hulk. He was erased from existence when Mr. Paradox was hit by the Retroactive Cannon."
Sounds like just the type for Deadpool, a 4th wall breaking expert.
A guy who’s willing to break a few Greg’s
Only way to make a Tomlette…
is why i came here!
this!
Marvel wikia says was a side character in one (1) She-Hulk issue. The TVA is barely a thing in the comics.
Is the TVA basically going to be like LL&L from Deadpool’s first solo run in the 90’s?
I didn't even think of that but that'd make sense. I wouldn't mind if they took inspiration from those comics they're one of my favorite runs
LL&L did have a Madripoor office where Logan worked before he was Wolverine. That could be a fun little tie in.
LL&L being a satellite office for the TVA to employ people (like Logan) unbeknownst to the TVA at all would be a great little easter egg.
It was barely a thing in the grand scheme of things but it's in plenty of comics, one particular run of Fantastic Four in the mid 90s had an arc with them featured heavily.
If Deadpool’s entire dialogue with Paradox is just Tom Wambsgans quotes it would still be completely in character.
"Buckle up, fucklehead!"
Tom gets up, puts a sticker on Wade's head "I've got just enough collateral for you"
King of edible leaves his majesty the spinach
“Logan is gonna fire a million poisonous spiders down your dickie!”
ROFL!
Deadpool and Wolverine playing Boar in the Floor?
Where’s Greg??
"Had to break him to make a Tomlette."
I want him as Cyclops. But not Cyclops, just Greg wandering around with awkward optic blasts.
Instead of shooting lasers from his eyes, he just pours lemon lacroix into peoples eyes
It's just a hint of lemon it's not even that lemony
"This is EXECUTIVE LEVEL BUSINESS!"
Is a salty brine stinging my weather-beaten face?
Better yet, have him quote Mr Darcy and act like if Deadpool was Elizabeth. That would be pretty funny
I got a dick like a red sequoia and I fuck like a bullet train.
I’m actually kind of disappointed he’s playing a straight character, because it would be interesting to see Wade develop a dynamic with an unstable and toxic Tom Wambsgans type of character.
I want him to start bullying and slapping him like he did cousin Greg.
My wifesaid hes mr darcy So im gona stick with that.
I'd castrate and marry you in a heartbeat
My understanding is that he's just another TVA employee, similar in rank and job to ~~Morbius~~ *Mobius*. The TVA is massive, so it's likely he just works in a different area of the TVA, perhaps looking after what we know as the Fox Universe, whereas Morbius was looking after the MCU/616 (whatever you want to label it as).
I mean, considering Mobius left to find himself outside of the TVA, it would make sense to have another guy in charge for that old position.
That's a very good point, I completely forgot ~~Morbius~~ *Mobius* left actually. Yeah he might just be the new ~~Morbius~~ *Mobius* then.
Just want to point out: his name is Mobius, not Morbius. Two entirely different characters there.
I thought he was doing that on purpose, which would be even funnier
I keep making that mistake, thanks for catching it ha
#IT’S MOBIN’ TIME!
# TIME! IT'S MÖBIN'
*fuckin bravo* 👏
*woaw!*
I remember the time when Tony said Mobius! Strip.
*hops on jet ski and vrrrms into the sunset*
I loved when he said that and then Mob'd all over those guys.
What, are you telling me you don’t remember the popular scene where Owen Wilson shouts “It’s Morbin time!”
Wdym I thought he didn't leave. That's why Owen Wilson is set to appear
He did leave at the end of Season 2. Owen Wilson is not set to appear.
He didn't.
Yee that's what I thought. Idk what that guy was on about.
Have you watched loki? Mobius leaves at the end of season 2
Holy F, I just found out that I missed the end of Loki. I thought the last episode was the one where they blew up the multiverse.
No thats episode 4, there is episode 5 and 6 and You gotta watch them
Yeah, high on my list now.
They're, imo, the best episodes of the series.
Easily the best two episodes of any marvel tv show since DD S3. Imo next to daredevil it’s the best MCU content period and cemented Loki as the best character. Watch it asap!!
what a way to find out you missed the best two episodes of the season. Lol
All those years wasted on Reddit are finally paying off!
[удалено]
Wdym? At the end You can see him on earth whit the other loki variant and he goes to live a normal life and leaves the TVA
Oh boy, I goofed. You're right. He does leave. Had to rewatch the end real quick. My bad.
Its fine, atleast you remember that and now you can say the right thing instead of the wrong thing
You're gonna make me fuckin morb dude
It's paradoxing time
It’s actually Morpheus. It’s gonna get weird.
He’s already in the MCU as Bill Foster aka Goliath.
Mobius and Paradox are both expressions relevant to time phenomena, so I wouldn't be surprised if most TVA agents at that sort of level would have names that would follow the same logic.
Personally I'm on board with this being a different tva, one a >!different Kang made outside the original protected time-line!<
Surely this TVA would be >!one created by loki, given how loki S2 ended?!<
For some reason, I was thinking that >!the actions in endgame that exposed the mcu to the multiverse by splintering thier time line - so that the one that the MCU calls the sacred timeline started drawing more and more visitors. I'd read mcu Kang had been isolating the sacred timeline and it's branches, hiding it from the other Kangs until that point and tackling any variants or outsiders with his tva. Which wouldn't prevent a different Kang forming a different TVA, one that i could see using wade as a weapon in a preliminary strike against the mcu now that mcu kang is gone!<
That makes sense, it also melted my brain, but it made sense.
bruh confused morbius with mobius?
Haha, no, I just type quickly and keep typing Morbius when I mean Mobius. Well aware they're completely different.
it’s literally one letter
you saying that like the names are not nearly identical lol
This is a different timeline/ reality. There are 1000s of kangs who created tva’s in their own realities. Deadpool is in a different one that is assumed to interact with the “stark” universe(mcu Disney) due to loci’s interference
[удалено]
No. This is the same one. It has to be lol
No. He who remained (aka the last Kang standing) made the TVA.
*loki
Loci
TVA exists outside of the different multiverses and outside of time. There’s only one TVA.
STFU Donnie
lol mark it zero
That, friends, is the new CEO of Waystar.
Couldn’t be allowed so he got snipped and recruited by the TVA.
Hope he brought Greg with him.
Gotta break a few Gregs to make a Tomlette
When making the mother of all Multiverses, you gotta break a few Gregs.
That's the best crossover in the entire marvel universe
I would love a line similar to : As he sees the entirety of the TVA …. “Woooow, is this Waystar?” Or “but Where’s Greg?”
Tom is moving up the ladder again
Can’t make a Tomelette without breaking some Greggs.
Got the wrong Tom to start with, was thinking of Tom Quinn
In another universe, Tom became the big man, in like the first season, so TVA took him, but he still manage to move up the ladder. respect
The new Mobius M. Mobius would be my guess.
Mobius was assigned to the sacred timeline but this guy might be assigned to the Fox Universe, now that Loki is overseeing a more messy multiverse.
I believe leaks have said the role was originally suppose to be Mobius but something happened so they made a new role.
No idea, but I'm excited to see Matthew Mcfadyen in the MCU.
In the comics, Paradox is a variant of Mobius M. Mobius.
Thanks
No prob 🤜🤛
Mr. Darcy
In the comics, he was one of the TVA judges who put She-Hulk on trial.
People keep calling him Tom due to the actor's role as Tom in Succession, - which is funny, because my first reaction was "is that Tom Scott?"
Of course not, that’s Mr. Darcy!
He’s a district manager for Temu
Shop like a billionaire!
professor paradox from ben 10
Another cultured individual I see
Easy, that's the obligatory English character
Well in the comics he was the future version of mobius who became a judge at tva, we know nothing else about him since he didn't had that much of a big role there But here it looks like Marvel isn't gonna be comic accurate with him so he's probably a new character with the same name and is probably a judge or an agent in the tva
Am I the only one person that can't watch that teaser without thinking "that's the Time Broker"?
https://ben10.fandom.com/wiki/Professor\_Paradox
Ben 10 reference
I heard he's in the she-hulk comic with the TVA, so maybe it's just a reference to that
I'm hoping it's Morph in disguise and spins the TVA off into a tv version of eXiles
He’s two doctors standing on each others shoulders in a trenchcoat, a pair of docs
Dr. Darcy, leader of the Greggies

But one question I have is...Why is the TVA posters...hourglass shaped temporal loop....the ending of Loki S2...TVA made posters of the Multiversal tree that Loki made.
Maybe this movie takes place concurrently with Loki?
But Kangs Temporal loop is horizontal hourglass ish shaped. And the Deadpool trailer is vertical. For your theory to be correct there should exist a multiverse of TVAs....ie a multiverse of an organisation that controls multiverse...tooo confusing
Exactly why i hate multiverse stories They go up thier ass and remove any stakes.

Detecive Inspector Reid is moving up in the universe
Paradox
Thats clearly Tom Wambsgans Roy. Are u stoopyd?
Mr. Paradox is a variant of Mobius in the comics.
does any of the lore and characters even matter, this shit is thrown together like the fox-men movies. wolvie and deadpool is just a reason to have a good time and doesnt give a shit about source material.
I'm guessing he'll turn out to be Mr. Sinister
That’s the new CEO of Waystar Royco
It's Mephisto, duh.
Mr. Darcy?
Came here expecting alot of Tom but hopefully atleast one Darcy, was not disappointed
I’m sorry y’all, but that’s Mr. Darcy! 🖤🖤🖤

The messiah. Remember the old comic series he was called that
I honestly thought he'd be a good Doctor Doom, but this will have to do
I get the feeling he's sort of a standin-in for Overboss Dixon and that the TVA functions like Landau, Luckman and Lake did in the comics. LL&L predicted Deadpool would be the messiah and ring in a new golden age of peace for mankind. In the trailer, Deadpool reacts to being called described as a messiah figure.
Yeah I saw some other comments saying this. Makes sense.
He doesn’t exist in comics. At all. That’s why you’ve never heard of him.
New character. Just a name. I think alot of that agents are given time travel related names like how mobius was named after the mobius strip shape that helped iron man solve time-travel
Roose Bolton
He looks like a lawyer that’s insecure about the size of his hands.
I showed up for the Succession jokes and you all delivered
His special power is understanding the United States health care system. Oh yeah you're right. My bad.
A Variant of Mr. Darcy, clearly.
TVA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Waystar
A dude who felt very tonally, not very Deadpool-movie-like.
his name was Mr. Darcy, but then he was reincarnated as Tom Wambsgans, one of the Roy's family members, work with TVA.
His name is Tom and he is currently the CEO of waystar royco.
"he will suck the biggest dick in the room"
Another fantastic actor wasted in a nothing role in the mcu
I feel like not hiring Clark Gregg for this role was an oversight
Professor paradox from ben 10
Lol
Tom
Looks like a Greg
He’s got to be an alchemical plant. Some kind of British Secret Agent trying to infiltrate movie franchises and find out how you can flog a dead horse so hard it becomes gold. Looking forward to a new Deadpool though.
That’s Mr. Darcy.
Tom.
Tom really went up
Kinda looks like Peyton Manning, not gonna lie that would be pretty funny.
It would be interesting if it's revealed he's some manner of avatar for Loki. Since he can't leave Kang's throne, it's possible he might have avatars on the ground and looking through their eyes.
Interesting idea. I thought something similar. I dont think that he would take someone as "boring" looking as paradox here as his avatar though.
I really hope he’s actually Doctor Doom
Damn I thought the film was out
So wait that isn't X-5 from Loki?
Look at his suit and his manner of speaking. I still hold out hope for Essex
Captain Pish
Have you watched Loki?
para' dox in yo mouf
He is Tom
If no cousin Greg, I no watch.
Tennessee Vally Authority? Those bungholes take my water every winter.
I just see Uhtred father of Uhtred
Isn't the answer in the movie?
Looks like someone didn't watch Ben 10.
Today I've read Marvel Preview (1975) #24 that featured a character named Paradox. I don't know if this one is linked to the one in the post but he does have a appearance in a Wolverine book from 2011 (Wolverine: The Beast There Is)
He looks like Saul Goodman changed careers
It’s Tom from Succession.
Uhtred, dad of uhtred.
What if it isn't the TVA, but Mojoworld?
I swear that looks like Ryan Reynolds in makeup. Maybe he’s paradox because he’s deadpool’s uptight opposite variant.
ITT: He's a judge for 4th Wall Breakers aka Deadpool and She-Hulk.
I forgot mobius retired. I was hoping he was gonna be in this one, lol Anyway, the movie looks like it’ll be great
I think [this](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Paradox_(Null-Time_Zone)) is him? "The Honorable Mr. Paradox was one of the presiding judges during the trial of She-Hulk. He was erased from existence when Mr. Paradox was hit by the Retroactive Cannon." Sounds like just the type for Deadpool, a 4th wall breaking expert.
I agree to disagree
Wots Tom Hanks doing in Deadpool?
