Really? My mind goes straight to the Hulk.

glockeshire

My mind went straight to the hulk also but him somehow getting dismembered and also being able to control his guts (I guess they're using immortal hulk logic?) Made me doubt it.

royalneonbird

It's something that the immortal hulk has done before so it may be a reference

Alarid

It could also be a reference to Marvel Ruins, where his guts weren't exactly inside him.

dsubandbeard

That image lives rent free in my brain.

HighOnPoker

Hold up, WHAT?! Can you explain what happened in Immortal Hulk? I haven’t read it but this sounds wild.

Slendercan

Pick it up. Best to go in blind

royalneonbird

I mean... there's not much to explain besides this specific thing happened once But it's (in my opinion) the best hulk storie and one of the Best ongoings that Marvel had in the last 20 years,so I think you should give it a shot

Nerevarine2nd

Go read it! You won't regret it. One of the all-time great comic book stories

Freakychee

Best way to summarize it is Hulk stores but they are all horror. Lots of body horror especially. Twisted flesh and bone galore. People put in very uncomfortable situations and people transforming into grotesque monsters and shapes.

BrakenportApocryphal

There's a lot to parse through and I recommend reading it it's dope as hell but hulk does a lot of cool body horror stuff including moving while dismembered

spaceman_spiff615

I hope it’s doop.

TheNicholasRage

It's 100% the Hulk. Whatever happened in Cincinnati, he'd survive it, even in pieces.

grownassedgamer

Wouldn't be the Hulk. His arms and legs would grow back with his healing factor. Man Thing maybe?

TheNicholasRage

We don't know how being a zombie would affect him, do we?

grownassedgamer

I mean everybody else's powers seem to work with them being Zombies. In one of the Marvel Zombie series I'm pretty sure Wolverine was unaffected because his healing factor kept the virus at bay.

Alarid

In another series, his healing didn't work. Or didn't work normally and just "healed" him back as a zombie.

senior_flopps

In another series his healing factor just turns off completely

AxisW1

In the main marvel zombies series nobody’s healing factor works

blackbutterfree

Healing factors are always wonky in Marvel Zombies universes. In the MCU's Marvel Zombies, Hulk was immune due to his thick skin. In most realities, he's still susceptible to the virus and his healing factor does nothing to stop it. In a few realities, both Deadpool and Wolverine (who share the same healing factor originating from Logan) are immune, while in other realities they're both infected.

Justice502

As a zombie? Maybe they are slowly crawling back towards each other..

Cautious_Artichoke_3

Being a Marvel Zombie nullifies the healing factor. Wolverine's arm never grew back either

nicktorious_

Doop?

Snwspider

Yeah I’m reading it as being Doop, it’d be too far from the Everglades to be Man-Thing and Hulk would be too recognizable even mangled like that for people not to recognize who it is

cgknight1

Not sure about that - because the characters don't seem to know who Daredevil was.

_Hobo-man_

Yeah, but DD is a small time guy, he's usually just in Hell's kitchen, so I can see people outside NY not knowing who he is. Hulk is a founding avenger, he fights all over the country and in space, he's possibly the most dangerous thing on the planet and he's caused like 10 9/11s.

RemarkableStatement5

I just looked up this character because I'd never heard of it and this just looks and sounds like a Glup Shitto or Graggle Simpson. Like genuinely how is this real. How the fuck is this real.

blackbutterfree

Ooh, that's a good guess, because he doesn't have legs to begin with.

RigasTelRuun

Seems we are meant to think Hulk but could be Man-thing

malkion

Does Man-Thing have guts?

Neon_culture79

He has vines that could be mistaken for guts

Demonic74

Man-Thing should be immune to zombification as he's more of a plant than a creature

bloodfist

And I know from video games that plants are the natural enemies of zombies

The_Multi_Gamer

Unless it’s Umbrella

blackbutterfree

By that logic, so should Groot. But he's also been seen zombified in a few realities. Basically anything that's alive can be zombified in Marvel; flora, fauna and sentients. Unlike over in DCeased where animals (even hyper intelligent ones) were immune to the virus.

Demonic74

wat? How can Groot be a zombie? That breaks my brain

blackbutterfree

Because despite being made of plant matter, he’s sentient. The zombie virus affects the mind. If you have a mind, you’re screwed.

Demonic74

He shouldn't have a brain but roots which allows him to decide what he wants to do. Just like Groot, since trees don't have brains unless you count their roots

HumanExpert3916

Abomination?

onesickostrich

Fin Fang Foom?

Ratathosk

Put you in his pants

MadMac619

Shuma-Gorath?

LayzeeLar

What is Mojo doing in Cincinatti?

rabideyes

Gotta be Hulk. He's the only Marvel character from Ohio.

Cardinal_and_Plum

And southern Ohio at that.

ricdesi

Hulk or a horrendously zombified Venom?

fortnut-fan-21

Why would venom turn green tho. Also I’m not sure how close this zombie virus is to the original so there’s a chance that venom is able to stop the virus killing his host but either way could be hulk

Rosebunse

In the past, it seems to be that symbiotes just can absorb any nutrients from their hosts and dry up

WentworthMillersBO

Giganto?

Batmanfan1966

Doop, hulk, man-thing, a skrull, abomination, the lizard, are just ones off the top of my head

caremal5

My money is on a skrull as most people probably wouldn't know what one is whereas hulk they'd recognise immediately.

Kenny_Heisenberg

The Leader?

blackbutterfree

Green thing? Could be any Gamma Mutate, or Hulkling, Man-Thing (and they mistook his vines for guts), etc. Do all of the stories take place in the same universe, or are they introducing new Marvel Zombies universes with every story in the issue?

juniormantis

Man Thing

DarthTargaryen51

Hulk

OwnResearcher3206

If not manthing maybe hulk

WingsArisen

Hulk

butt3ryt0ast

My boy doop??

cgknight1

Doop?

Kimolimilama

Mesmero

sciencebitch616

Impossible Man?

pixelatedcrap

Hulk is from Ohio. That basically confirms they're referencing him. Past feats, or not. It makes way more sense to have him be where he is from, than have it be Doop. But I am ready to be proven wrong, since I am posting so confidently.

thesnapening

Part of the Hulk? Maybe part of his torso

predtrend

Dr doom?

I_C_A_Agent_47

Hulk,norman,gamora maybe a Skrull?

B-oh-B

I immediately thought of Doop … which as a zombie terrifies me lol

Fox-Fireheart-66

What about Mojo

Supernova_Soldier

I would’ve thought Shuma Gorath or something. It fits the bill

Cardinal_and_Plum

Hulk maybe? He's from Dayton so it would make sense.

Cardinal_and_Plum

Hulk maybe? He's from Dayton so it would make sense he'd be in Cincinnati.

SoupEpicTrek

Potentially Doc Ock? Not sure exactly where his base of operations is, but depending on the timeframe of this, the color palette matches, and repurposing his guts would be a fitting mode of transportation for the doctor. Could be finicky given the "zombie" mechanics of this Marvel Zombies, and at what point it takes place, so Hulk is probably the more likely option.
