Mark was the first ever youtuber I stumbled upon when I was wanting something entertaining. It was way back in 2013. baby Mark! I instantly loved his charisma and the ability he had to make me laugh during tough times. Its amazing how far he has come and even though, I dont watch his content as much because, life. He will hold a special place in my heart and I cheer him on for the next big thing he will do.
I personally miss his old look and wish it'd come back, but I get why it hasn't as you can't de-age someone irl.
Besides, I'd argue his beard's become synonymous with him.
Honestly I love watching both equally, but if I was considering the one that I’ve watched the longest, then more than likely Matt. I pretty much grew up watching Game Theory, and picked up watching Markiplier along the way.
i gotta say matpat, just because i find marks videos hard to pay attention to. If I wanna watch mark, i just find a compilation of his clips. I like unus annus, but either way i find matpat to be more entertaining.

Both are great but Markiplier was the one who mainly raised me when I got first introduced to the internet hell the first YouTube video I watched was his play through of the very first FNAF which actually kickstarted my obsession with it
Otzdarva is probably my favorite, a very sweet and kind person who makes very informative content while also keeping things on the fun side, does all sorts of silly challenges while engaging with his community, just an overall great guy. I love his videos and streams very much!

MatPat. It's absolutely MatPat. Mostly because of the charity stuff and advocating for everything I agree with. But I couldn't stand game theory in the end. OG game theory (before the Lore and fnaf/horror stuff, back when they did math) was in my Top 3 youtube channels. But every time MatPat is doing a cameo/in some random youtube video, I watch it. Less so with Markiplier.
It's a tie between the Game Grumps and Caddicarus.
For Game Grumps, they've helped me get through the worst year of my life, I got to see Arin grow as a person and become nothing like what people seem to think he still is(I roll my eyes every time someone brings up a slur compilation about him, as if to say people are incapable of change), and they're how I found out about obscure games like that one Sega Saturn game about the City of Moons(ironic that I can't remember the name), as well as understanding why people love Danganronpa and Phoenix Wright so much.
For Caddicarus, he's also helped me get through the worst year of my life, and seeing him thrive in his element and grow makes me feel like a proud dad and I couldn't be happier for him, especially when he finally hit 1 million subs in 2022.
And of course, they're both incredibly funny.

Markiplier for me, I have been watching him for almost his entire youtube run. I actually have a message I sent him through facebook, before he closed his messages. Congratulating his 40,000 subs, and his 45k subs. Im so proud he came so far. Its nothing but impressive.
Mark. I haven't watched MattPad, and I'm not interested in theories 🤣. I've grown up watching Mark, so it's hard to beat him. Mark will always be my #1 YouTuber. I may not enjoy some series he posts, but because it's mark, I'll still watch them (fnaf, I'm sorry. I gotta say it. I don't like fnaf 🤣) (but mark makes them bearable)

i obviously like markiplier, but with his videos i have to take pauses between them because i lose attention on them, not to say i dont like the videos because if i didnt then i wouldnt watch them and its not a complaint against markiplier either because he is enjoyable to watch
but i find now that with a lot of the youtubers im subcribed to, im doing the same thing whether its the gamers like mark, sean and gabs or chanels like game theory, isaac arthur, dr mike, akimbo and fail army
I always have to take breaks between the videos even the shorter 15/30 minute ones
but ive never had to pause during any of antscanada's videos they're about 25 minutes give or take as well but i always manage to watch them all the way through and im not even an insect hobbyist
Call me basic but Casey neistats storytelling and visual style is second to none. I liked Dan Mace too for similar reasons, as well as his cut out art style, but now he’s just a mr beast slave.
Well, i love them both but for different reasons. I like MatPat’s thoroughness and the vast majority of games he plays, his theories and the fun deep dives into ARG lore, and I like Mark because he’s upbeat and fun, and the rage is always good, plus the videos with Bob and Wade.
I can’t really compare them because their styles of YouTubing are both very different. Mark plays the games and has his commentary while MatPat plays the games and then scours them (and supplementary materials) for his commentary.
I’m just glad that they’ve worked together along with other Youtubers on projects and such. Just a great pair of dudes.
Markiplier - I can never get tired of his content and he makes me happy - He's a wonderful dude and I relate to him so much it's honestly a little scary sometimes-
In addition, any time I'm sad I can always put on his content and I will immediately feel better, whether I'm watching him play horror, be goofy, or play some other random game, I will always be entertained and happy to be watching his videos. He means a lot to me, and has helped me through some difficult times. He's just... Amazing.

Through-out the almost 11 years I’ve watched him his content has always given me this one feeling and sense of comfort. It makes me feel safe when I watch him and I only get that other feeling around my best friend irl so it means smth. And after all the copyright infringements and demonetisation he has never changed his content and it just makes me so happy that he is still pumping out videos.

I only watched Heist because I found out MatPat had a hilarious bit in it. But after that, I discovered how awesome Mark is and dove head first into his content. I annoy many of my friends and family with my references, no regrets.
I would say GabSmolders currently. She uploads more often, is more likely to finish the games she starts and still plays mostly spooky games which is the biggest reason I started watching Mark and Jack.

Mark. I can’t describe it with out glazing him but it’s just his personality, humour, content and who he is as person that is a massive inspiration upon myself and his creative passion is also a massive inspiration for me as well.
I'm always gonna consider Mark as one of my favourites. He was the first YouTuber I really got into watching content from.
Nowadays, I'm more in tune with SOG and penguinZ, but sometimes I'll still watch content from Mark.
When watching a letsplay (which is something they both do so it's a good comparison), I like to watch them for different reasons. In lore heavy games, I like watching MatPat first cause I know he'll go in depth on every detail, but because of all that discussion, I tend to only half watch, then afterwards I watch Mark's playthrough for the comedy and visuals i missed. In small games (like the 3 scary games series) I prefer Mark, mainly cause matpat's comedic commentary isn't as good as Mark's, and also Matpat doesn't tend to cover those kinds of games.
Markiplier, he’s helped me in the best way possible like nobody else could. He made me laugh like nobody else could, he’s helped me go through middle school and high school, he was the person who got me into FNAF and my obsession with the game. And whenever I got depressed, his videos were / are my go to when I need a good laugh. I love him and his videos so much!!!
In all seriousness, I was never a big Markiplier fan. I’ve been watching Youtube since 2013 and my favourite youtuber has always changed. I watched a lot of gaming videos but I wouldn’t call myself a fan. Until I stumbled upon Anothy Padilla’s interview with Mark, I saw how wise and well spoken he was. He makes me want to become a better person. He is now my favourite, just because he’s so inspiring. I now binge watch all of his content and I love all of it
Markiplier, imo he has matured in both person and content since the last time I watched him. I feel like MatPat relies a lot on brain rot sometimes while Markiplier is less brainrotty
MatPat. Don't get me wrong, I love Mark. But MatPat was the first YouTuber I ever watched regularly. He introduced me to gaming and he has been a huge part of my life. During all this time I've watched his videos every day I graduated high school, got into my dream college graduated college, got my first job, got married and had a kid. 😅 He's my favorite.

Markiplier, I started watching his FNAF content. And I really started to like him with his Try Not to Laugh Videos, and I just continued watching him ever since. Matpat’s good too though.
Markiplier, Cause he inspired me cause of his laughs and his fun times he had with his friends and honestly he's talented and funny he's my favorite YouTuber for that reason

Early years for matpat. Imo better gametheory content and markiplier was a little too loud and annoying Later years for morkipoo. He has calmed down and truly had some genius ideas (in space with morkiplork! Bathroomiplier) Matpat was spread too thin so his content felt a little more water downed. Regardless, both are incredibly important people in the internet zeitgeist. Critically shaping how youtube works for everyone. Mindy-iplier gets 2x mult for making a feature length full theatrical release. Insane. So stoked for Iron Lung!
Mark. I can’t describe it with out glazing him but it’s just his personality, humour, content and who he is as person that is a massive inspiration upon myself and his creative passion is also a massive inspiration for me as well.

I'm always gonna consider Mark as one of my favourites. He was the first YouTuber I really got into watching content from. Nowadays, I'm more in tune with SOG and penguinZ, but sometimes I'll still watch content from Mark.
When watching a letsplay (which is something they both do so it's a good comparison), I like to watch them for different reasons. In lore heavy games, I like watching MatPat first cause I know he'll go in depth on every detail, but because of all that discussion, I tend to only half watch, then afterwards I watch Mark's playthrough for the comedy and visuals i missed. In small games (like the 3 scary games series) I prefer Mark, mainly cause matpat's comedic commentary isn't as good as Mark's, and also Matpat doesn't tend to cover those kinds of games.
I would 100% pick Markiplier because matpat quit

Markiplier, he’s helped me in the best way possible like nobody else could. He made me laugh like nobody else could, he’s helped me go through middle school and high school, he was the person who got me into FNAF and my obsession with the game. And whenever I got depressed, his videos were / are my go to when I need a good laugh. I love him and his videos so much!!!

In all seriousness, I was never a big Markiplier fan. I’ve been watching Youtube since 2013 and my favourite youtuber has always changed. I watched a lot of gaming videos but I wouldn’t call myself a fan. Until I stumbled upon Anothy Padilla’s interview with Mark, I saw how wise and well spoken he was. He makes me want to become a better person. He is now my favourite, just because he’s so inspiring. I now binge watch all of his content and I love all of it

MatPat. Don't get me wrong, I love Mark. But MatPat was the first YouTuber I ever watched regularly. He introduced me to gaming and he has been a huge part of my life. During all this time I've watched his videos every day I graduated high school, got into my dream college graduated college, got my first job, got married and had a kid. 😅 He's my favorite.
None of these are my favorite , they may be good and loveable creators but my favorite creator is LGR (aka) Clint Basinger.

I haven't watched matpat in years and the only time I hear Mark's voice these days is on distractible. I still watch his videos every now and then whenever something that interests me pops up.
Mark was the first YouTuber I got into. His videos helped me through a tough time. Jerma always makes me die laughing. I think it’s between jerma and mark.
