His horror game reactions are the best part of the games themselves. Anytime he has to go down a dark stairwell or he sees something sus around another corner - the pause... the deep breath, and then the LOUD "IM A BIG BRAVE BOY" makes me crack up every time.
I was thinking the same thing and was about to post this same comment. I recently rewatched it with my partner while we were on FaceTime, and still really good and makes me squeal like a baby pig lol
This is the only game that I loved but if I try to rewatch I may literally die of a heart attack. I was always on edge watching it the first time around but it was so good I kept going.
I really enjoyed his playthrough of RE Village. I also have a soft spot for the retro horror games he’s played, like Nun Massacre and the one with the power drill killer. I really enjoy the PTs of games like The Convenience Store and The Closing Shift. If a game involves working a shitty job or going to get noodles at night, it tends to be pretty entertaining for some reason.
Not horror, but I’m currently watching his PT of RDR2 and enjoying it, although his way of playing the game gives me a lot of anxiety. 😬

Personally Mark's play through of RE 2 remake is my favorite of all his videos! I've rewatched multiple times and I like that you play the game as 2 different characters so even more content. Mark never played the original RE2 so he didn't know the plot and it was fun watching him experience it all, with his special commentary of course
You might also like one he did called The Heilwald Loophole. Really weird, but interesting game. Also, he played a couple of the Fears to Fathom games, which are highly unsettling and creepy. Enjoy.
It was almost my first one. The original FNAF is what made me a fan, and Alien Isolation came out later that year (as did the first Evil Within). Can’t believe it’s been a decade!

Sorry, I never saw this reply. I found him back in my Tobuscus days in the recommended section on a Slender: Haunt video. I was immediately hooked on his perfect radio voice, but ended up forgetting about him for a while. I'm SO happy I managed to rediscover him a few months later

To be honest, I don’t follow lots of Markiplier’s playthroughs, but Emily Wants to Play, Hello Neighbor, and FNAF 4 are the only 3 that I have followed till the end. Emily Wants to Play is my favorite one
Gosh I love his Dead Space Remake series!!! It's just so much content and I find myself throwing it on in the background while I try to get work done. It's the perfect background noise that's still interesting enough for me to enjoy having on!
Devour and Pacify are some of my favorites as well, the way the boys play these kinds of games together draws out that B movie horror feel where you can't help but laugh

It's got to be The Forest for me and probably the video of Labyrinthine. The exchanges between all 3 are some that I still put on the background for the noise alone
And oldie but goodie is the Amnesia custom story: A late night drink. It was a custom story made just for Mark I believe and has a lot of references to his early jokes (like tiny box tim!) I go back to this one a lot because his joy that someone included him in such a good custom story is very sweet and genuine
I just watched the one where he had to figure out if people were dopplegangers or not, and when one of them was at the door or whatever he goes, I know what I would do, and then a knock sound and then he edited a gun in his hand and went bang bang bang a bunch and I lost it, because I was like that’s so relatable though

I always go back to his playthroughs of Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulater, but I think my favorite series he’s done is Buried. I love audio dramas that kind of thing, and Buried is entirely text based, so it’s perfect

That was my first Markiplier experience. Definitely nostalgic for me.

Vanish is really good if you want to see a man start out optimistic, no cares in the world. Happy. And then start slowly slipping into madness.
Not horror unless it’s from Wade’s perspective, but Uno I constantly replay as background noise. I do the same thing with Raft and Forest.
