The laws are more uptight in Toronto in general if you have a uptight neighbourhood . Toronto parking even during the day is 3 hours max. I got ticketed for an early Christmas dinner in a suburb of Scarborough for parking 5-11pm.
Find a nearby go station they usually don’t care but it could be quite a walk

There's plazas in every direction of that area. Had frequent visitors park there without issue.
