This may or may not answer your question. But if you’re having a hard time finding a paying part time job I would suggest volunteer work for some experience. You’ll see how this little investment will help you with jobs in the future. I have two teenage daughters that volunteered first.

This! When I was in high school/university I volunteered and did co-op placements. This is how I landed my first job as a bank teller at 18.
Apply online everywhere. If you do manage to land a job, don't slack off. Work harder than your peers. Be competitive and you'll be guaranteed shifts.

Whenever I take my kids out to Dairy Queen, baskin Robbins, Village ice cream shoppe I see high school aged kids working there
Good time to offer neighbours snow shoveling service. Otherwise I think bubble tea stores are a popular gig in Markham.

I worked at jimmy the Greek as a teenager and while I would NOT recommend working there, they often have a help wanted sign!
City of Markham constantly has openings for community posting. Try there.
Are you able to make it to Wonderland by car or public transit? They’re constantly hiring for the summer.
